android!edwin and human repairman!charles come from a sci fi au based loosely on the show westworld (do not recommend lol). android!edwin is the only droid conscious that hes not human on a historical pleasure planet populated by droids who believe theyre in the year 1916, when its actually far into the future.

edwin is initially uncomfortable when a guest takes a strong interest in him, but is reluctantly enthralled by the stories the stranger tells each night, about edwin and his traveling companion as they freed droids from different planets on a spaceship of their own. but even as edwin comes to trust charles, believing that his memory has been erased, building their escape plan together, he suspects charles has secrets of his own…
