They sold the streaming rights to (likely) the highest bidder without any concern what that would mean for NCAA gymnastics in terms of accessibility. They’re the ones making money off of college athletes by selling these streaming rights while people like Katelyn, Kyla and Maddie aren’t allowed to make a dime based on their tremendous athletic accomplishments which is beyond fucked up. Flo just did what they think benefits their stupid business model.

I was around back then and I think they should’ve lost their USAG/FIG credentials for good back then as well.

Personally I believe it would’ve been far more productive if the NCAA would’ve been faced with a shitstorm from gym fans instead of almost everyone focusing their hate on Flo, considering the NCAA are the ones making the decisions when it comes to streaming rights. That way they might’ve been willing to do things differently next season

I’d like to point out that this isn’t a quote from Mykayla, also it’s a recollection of facts by the journalist? Like it’s a FUCKING FACT that she placed higher than Gabby Douglas and Maddie Kocian at trials, so for people who aren’t that into gymnastics (so the people this article is aimed at) it must be weird she wasn’t picked. Also as a journalist you need an angle and honestly if you’re writing about someone maybe trying for the Olympics again how can you not mention that disappointment in 2016??

Also the article admits that Mykayla felt bitter about missing out on the team but that she’s VERY MUCH OVER this bitterness. Which should be a good thing lol

Like I definitely think it wasn’t okay to be that vocal about her disappointment directly after trials, but this article? Y’all are grasping at straws so you can hate on her lol

wow I didn’t know he’s the one who fixed Aliya’s knee in 2011, this explains why she was able to recover this well for 2012! he literally is a miracle worker, all the footballers get treated by him, Usain Bolt trusted him during his entire career and he’s the one who fixed Fabian Hambüchen’s shoulder in early 2016 when he was ready to call it quits because of the injury
