Ultimately the scene with Jay removing Bart's material belongings, and residency, from his home in the presence of his biological daughter when there were endless other options available is a very clear demonstration of how the writers own biases impact their writing. We can see by demonstration of how this scene unfolded what Adams feels is paramount in family, and what family is to him; and it is bioessentialist. It wouldn't be the case if it was intentional and commentary about the scene came up later as a point of conflict, but it didn't (as if Jeremy Adams could or would ever write something that compelling).

The issue is NOT Judy getting her room and place back in her family, the issue is the narrative that adopted and foster children cannot exist in the presence of biological children, and biology is inherently more important.
