Canadian graffiti: "Hey wanna go tagging tonight?" "Yeah man, I got these sweet washable markers..." "That's so thoughtful! Now it will be easy for the next guy to clean! See ya tonight!"
This is actually how these two finished the 200m Semi-finals.
Edit: Added a couple more photos. This is precious.

Rottweiler butt? Or the ghost of Kenny McCormick...?
This meme was posted to a friends fb account, and caused a little uproar... I'm reposting here because I'm curious why promoting a healthy body shape becomes so quickly misinterpreted as 'skinny shaming.' Here's what I had to say on the issue, but I'd be glad to hear from anyone with a different opinion: --- The issue is not about skinny/voluptuous being a bad/good thing. The issue as it see it is about the aspirational body types being promoted in the media, and the potential for an average person to attain that ideal. Of course we should love and accept people regardless of body shape and style, but I think the point of this photo is to say that it is unhealthy for the majority of society to attempt to have bodies matching the women in the top line of photos. Whereas, the women in the bottom row of pictures represent a realistic body image for many people to be able to work toward. Feeling nostalgic for the years when the ideal of beauty in a larger frame was the norm is not a bad thing. A beauty myth is being sold to the public and perpetuated through media channels that is impossible for most to achieve. This leads to depression and other issues; which is unfair to beautiful women of larger dimension. By challenging the beauty myth, perhaps we can affect a return to a more sustainable and healthy beauty ideal for the future. Good post!
Feel like its time for a comeback
I recently made a big move, and am making some big lifestyle changes too. I feel like I've let the blogging slide and now would be a perfect time to restart filling this fledgling blog with content. Make sure you check out the archive links to see some gems from the past. Thanks to the voyeurs, my Lululemon series of articles is still the most popular post; but there are blogs about the perils of online dating and a link to a great story about Canada's Maple Syrup heist for those interested in more than pictures. If there is a random topic you'd like to read about, just let me know. ...it's good to be back :)
See-51
Was walking the Drive, Which is alive near five (in the evening) with wonderful, interesting and outgoing people. People here, people there... People who sell coffee, others who sell food. (Some people even sell the things that really are no good.) A man in a doorway selling loose coins, "Spare change for sale, spare change for sale! Just name a price..." I declined this man's offer, (he wished to sell his nickel for my dime), and moved on to another, who wanted only time. "No dime, no quarter, no money you ask? Please do explain the nature of your task..." The young man stammered, surprised at my interest and said, "It's the Bill, See-51, have you heard" I said I did not, but please share the word. "Well, with Bill See-51, it's all about you. The places you go and the things that you do. " "Why do they care about the things that I do?" "They collect and collect and collect and collect," he explained, "and when they finish collecting they process it all into a thinking machine." "So if I talk to the Young Communists at this booth next door, or perhaps go to the art gallery to protest a war, it all gets collected?" I asked, "What is it for?" "They'll arrest and detain you, if they think you're a threat. They'll take you away, they won't even sweat." Sensing my worry, he returned with a flurry of papers and forms. "But you can sign this petition, and fill in this letter. If everyone does it, things could better!" "So I filled out my form, and put my name on this list. And sending it to the collectors with their paranoid schemes and thinking machines. If See-51 passes, won't this be exactly the thing they could use to find the people, a threat to the regime?" Now he looked worried, and shared my concern. "We must stop it from coming, the people must learn!" I solemnly agreed with the earnest young man, and signed my name bold... with a capital DAN.
Yay, feedback!
Thank you for the reverse google image link!!! I now know for sure I’m being scammed.
-------- [EDIT] I tried to publish the comment I received above as a submission, but instead it looks like I've thanked myself for a link I provided in an archived post about dating scams and ripoffs. In any case, thank you for the comment PSUGorillaGirl! Here's the link for anyone who doesn't have it: https://www.tineye.com/
Rejection response letter
Attn: Karen More, HR Target Canada
Not getting the response you hoped for in Canada, eh? Though I suppose if a company that champions it’s own commitment to employees, can’t keep their own word with potential applicants, it shouldn’t be a surprise that you’ve dropped the ball with your customers as well.
After 4 interviews, an online assessment I was promised an answer, either way, within 7-10 days. Imagine my surprise when I received your anonymous rejection form letter a month later.
I’m a customer service expert that understands the importance of building relationships. Perhaps you felt like customer service was something Target is doing well enough without hiring passionate customer service experts. Perhaps you felt I was overqualified and would have trouble adapting to your customer service standards.
Whatever the reason, I see that Canadian Target experience isn’t all it was cracked up to be for Canadian shoppers. Perhaps if you hired employees who treated your customers and potential applicants with the respect they deserve, the Target transition would be more successful for you. Unfortunately, I was one of the employees that could have helped you. But your thoroughly unprofessional conduct during this hiring process has ensured that neither I, nor anyone who asks my opinion, will ever work there in the future.
Yours very truly, Dan Deresh
Well, that was a pretty good boycott...
