her humor at least gets a laugh out of him. “a newbie, probably, they didn’t seem experienced.” which was something jaeho was fortunate of, silver was much more painful than just a regular ol’ arrow. he’s faced worse attacks, however, so even if it were a silver arrow he’s certain he would have still survived.
“okay.” jaeho nods his head, biting lightly on the inside of his cheek before carefully placing a hand on the woman’s shoulder. he feels his body tense up slightly, taking in a breath to finally relax as she counted–it was gonna hurt like hell if he didn’t otherwise. of course it hurts now, despite himself being physically and mentally prepared for the pain, biting his tongue to suppress the howl that bubbles in the back of his throat. feeling blood slowly drip down his throat, the coppery taste not causing him to ignore the feeling of the arrow go deeper inside his leg. his fingers curl, gripping onto her shoulder tightly as it finally pushes through.
letting out a heavy breath, cursing underneath his breath, jaeho throws his head back against the tree behind him and let’s out a small sigh of relief. the healing process should start soon, but he’s glad that it’s all over now. the hand on the woman’s shoulder becomes gentle, slowly caressing her skin. “thanks,” he breathes, “seriously.”
Before being turned into a werewolf, Taeyeon might not have been able to do something like this. She used to be squeamish at the sight of blood or bones, but now it seemed almost like a second nature to her to be able to handle it. She guessed it just came with the territory of being a wolf, but if you told her before the change that she’d be pushing an arrow through a stranger’s leg, she’d call you crazy.
Despite her no longer feeling like she’d get sick from this procedure, it did not keep her from wincing as she proceeded with it. His fingers dug into her shoulder, but it was nothing compared to what he was going through, she knew, and she pressed on, finally seeing it come out on the other end. She carefully continued to pass the arrow through, being careful not to lose any of the fletching in his leg.
She smiles softly as his grip turns to a calming touch, of course loving any affection that’s given to her. “Of course, it’s no problem.” she nodded “I’m Taeyeon, from the Greater Gagnam pack, it’s nice to meet you, though it’s too bad it isn’t on less painful circumstances.” she laughed a tiny bit at her awkwardness.
