More male characters who are interested in their mother's legacy. As a trope there's a lot of sons and daughters who follow in the father's footsteps and there's yes, girls who honor their mother, ect. But let's have more dudes who are like. Stumbling on their mom's secret fairy cottage or some shit. And they're like aight gotta make the tea
for a return ask if it's ok: what is your most liked Louis/plot branches for him and why 👀
(i like your art btw!)
Hi!! sorry for not answering for that long:'D
Thank you!!
I have to be honest, I don’t really understand what a plot branch in this context is, but I will interpret it to the best of my ability. So maybe I am answering to smth something very different :’D
The last time I played him as a loyal son to his papa, a man who accepted himself as a daemon and who enjoys his new power, and when all of this work ended up w Mortimer being like “Yeah you have gone through all of this trouble and I declare you… my new vessel! Get out of here, it’s my body now” was hilarious.
I like times when he questions his mother esp when the first choice you make is to trust her. He had to trust her before as they're partners, and now, as she's more and more secretive.... Also son aspect is cute, he worries for her as his mom too :(
Also I really like interrogation scene you can get if you are arrested for Lisa's murder. First of all, Louis trying to defend himself while he knows nothing about the case was a fun read, but also how you can see that Mortimer is genuinely worried for the outcome. Then there's Jacques fucking shooting the guy unprompted and as a shock to all. Him standing and waiting to finally shoot Louis, probably thinking about every detail.
If everything w Jacques can count, I also like building Louis building a relationship w him. I really like Jacques obv and I wish we knew more about him and his relationship w Mortimer (pretty gay if you ask me) it is nice to see Louis caring for him and calling him his friend (woah the guy that wanted you dead is now the one you call ur friend, jdfhfdh)
Maybe I can remember more later, but its this for now:) Thank you again!
Ohh i wanna ask you about your elizabeth hcs if its ok with you👀
OOOH do i have the- *remembers i haven't actually watched or played the game for a very long time* ooh did i have them related thoughts
major spoilers and massive ramble ahead
i like that one plot line where she gets away in a boat. not an easy thing to achieve, but it's the only way she hopefully stays alive, and then after the events of the game she could either succeed in finding her sister who cares about her, or Louis and the Golden Order could come to locate her somehow, without Sarah involved. i like to believe that she's resilient and brave enough to survive that journey after taking the decision to flee, and that this decision was correct
Sarah's horrible "treatment" makes more sense after we meet Asahel: he isn't the type to let go of someone in his command easily, and Elizabeth probably had been really tortured by his thoughts and intentions and his own will invading her mind since she was a child; in a very grim way i think that what Sarah did to her had only made things worse entirely. she broke Elizabeth's spirit with all the awful pain she inflicted onto her and the isolation from her family, making her only more fragile and susceptible to any daemons invading her mind. that being said, i also think Sarah's decisions were dictated by her own trauma about getting deceived by Mortimer, which must've been very dramatic to the point where she started her crusade just to avoid the horrible fate of being under Mortimer's command her whole life; she probably felt so strongly about it that in her own eyes what she did to Elizabeth didn't seem as the worst thing she could do to a child, as in her eyes her getting possessed and acting out somebody else's will is much much worse. of course, that isn't an excuse, more like, thinking of what could make her do something horrible like that. Sarah was always sure that the next treatment would become the one to work. it never did
headcanoning Sir Holm strongly as a girl dad. plot wise he might have just used Elizabeth as Asahel's vessel, but i like to think he cared for her the most, tried to make her comfortable and choose a nice dress with her and talk to her and find anything she'd need and everything also just the sheer difference of him initiating Emma and Emily last minute and not his own son for many years is still talking me out hjdhjfh
she gets her worse days and she gets better days where she talks to people and likes being there and exercising all sorts of manners and mannerisms that Holm taught her. these days she dreams of re-entering society again. and then it all falls down and she has to lay down in her room for days to recover, and hates her foolish dreams and herself in the process.......if only her live had been better
Asahel's character and attitude influenced her own a whole lot; in her mental connection to Asahel she knows more of every other daemon than she lets out, of the guests and of their political affairs. she doesn't dare to talk about it since when any of these thoughts slip out, she gets in trouble. i think she made Peru mad by unconsciously mumbling something very, very vile under her nose like, "can't believe Mortimer would let his attack dog roam free" or "enjoy your miserable life while it lasts" or similar stuff, not what she, Elizabeth, personally thinks or others, more how Asahel thinks and how he could talk to people around if he was present in her body. she might say these things from time to time and every time she regrets it horribly, as if it was her own fault to do so
von Wollner was a creep and she had to tell Holm to get rid of him. he might've deserved better plot-wise but i don't headcanon him being a friend to Elizabeth lately, more how probably his overly strategic appearances and small talks and promises of caring for her felt like too much and made her nervous. even if she doesn't shy away from telling someone to leave her alone, having an older man circle around her room was unsettling a whole lot
i think she and Emma could become friends >:) and Emma, despite being brutally honest and nonchalant at Louis and Emily could get a soft spot for a younger girl who always wanted a different life. maybe in a different body too. i think they could find topics to discuss and Emma would become protective of her the older sister way
Mortimer literally greeted her once very dryly on the island and only said that she could walk around and use servants if she needs anything and asked her not to enter his study or the conference room and then left saying he has important things to attend. it lasted a minute. bringing her was Holm's idea that he couldn't refuse and he couldn't care less
she reads a lot and maybe also wants to learn new things like to sing or play an instrument. Holm hasn't found her a proper teacher because if anyone seeing her starts gossiping around, it's a whole world of problems. the whole reputation of Adams's family deal and her supposed death makes her life infinitely more difficult than it ever needed to be
George: They're platonizing me Jerry! Platonizing me! I have a perfectly good temple cult Jerry, but they keep talking about Henads and Monads. I can't keep up!
Jerry: The nerve of some people. You know, a Buddy of mine had to syncretize his temple cult. His statue god is one of Zeus's daughters now.
Elaine: Look on the bright side, if you learn Greek you can slip your own theology into Christianity. It'll be like you never left.
Kramer: Jerry! Jerry! A new prophet was born in Mecca!
LOVE UR IDEA!:3 It reminded me of Marina from finger. When I was drawing butch Louis I was imagining more a comedic scenario; she is a woman and considers herself as one, but bc of her style choices and the way she talks and handles herself, she is perceived as a man. Maybe she's still Louis or Louise but Louis just for short. Everybody at the mansion think of her as a man and address her as one and when she tries to correct them smth happens and she gets interrupted 😔 She has to go thru a majority of the game like that. Maybe not in all in-game scenarios it would work (like the first question is that why everybody thinks that Sarah has a son while they only heard about a daughter), but it would've been funny
OOOOOOOOH I SEE it would be pretty funny ngl, to make so many awkward conversational moments in a game where we already have them, but a running bit where there's Louise trying to object to someone about being called a man and at best it's untimely and at worst she gets a "Logic: Failure" and the person she's talking to says "that's pretty funny, anyway" and she's still taken for a man......................tragic 😔
