It's already June 1st down here so happy pride month. I know Rexy is transgender and there other LGBT+ characters in the series but the main characters of Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory are pretty much all LGBT+. It was defiantly the right decision to make the N6 with LGBT+ people in mind and it really adds to their dynamic.

one thing that ticks me off abt CC Yasmina is when she said she “trains in the gym for 5 hours everyday”. I dont think whoever wrote that line worked out a day in their life because NO FUCKING HUMAN BEING IS TRAINING FOR 5 HOURS EVERYDAY.

Not even the greatest track stars of all time are training for 5 hours. The most a human being should train is like 2. And thats the MOST. And everyday??? No room for rest and recovery? Well no wonder she kept breaking her fucking ankle the constant repetition of cardio is putting too much strain on her muscles, joints, tendons, and ankles.

Im so salty abt this because I dont think people realize when writing athletes that making them do nothing but train train train is just completely unrealistic, ik this is a dinosaur show, but still, this is basic knowledge.

And I knowww Yasmina’s character in CC is her wanting to be the best at everything athletics wise, but HAD she’d been written as an athlete PROPERLY, her schedule wouldnt be “training for 5 hours in the gym” it would most likely be a split with PLENTY of rest and recovery. Especially at Yasmina’s age too! She’s a TEENAGER! None of that is healthy and realistically, her body would be deteriorating. She probably doesnt even get periods because of how harsh her “training” is.

It ticks me off because there is so much misconception when it comes to athletics and working out as a whole in fictional media, because a lot of people seem to think an athletes training sesh is nonstop, when in reality, there are splits between training, and rest and recovery, because the magic actually happens when your body is in REST MODE.

She would have days where she goes hard, definitely, but she would also have days of just going light and focusing on recovery.

took that scene as an exaggeration - maybe she was trying to impress Brooklynn or one-up her? but i agree - ep lore drop time, i used to do high level (amateur) gymnastics, and even at the PEAK of my training i never did it beyond maybe ... 10 hours a week? looking back it was fucked up cos that's a lot for someone who's like. nine. but STILLLL. five hours is wildly unrealistic for a teen. very few responsible coaches would allow that, which makes me wonder if her coaches were strict, maybe even abusive :(

Darius: "So Benny boy any idea on what your wedding is going to be like?"

Ben: "Me and Gia are thinking of having our wedding out on the Mediterranean."

Yaz: "Can't blame you, it's the perfect place for a wedding."

Ben: "I'm also thinking of having some fireworks as well."

Darius: "Of course you'd want explosions at your wedding."

Yaz: "Even dying and having a heart condition didn't stop you from being a pyromaniac."
