Fun Fact: The Velocicoaster in Universal Studios Orlando has a poster for Camp Cretaceous (like, in-universe, as if it were a real thing, not the show itself) in the line. I couldn't take a photo because they made us put our stuff in a locker, but believe me, it's there.

Which is funny, because they have a section in the park called "Camp Jurassic" which... listen, we'll take our Easter Eggs where we can get them.

Is one of her parents American and the other Mexican? Or is she a Tejana with two Mexican American (Texan) parents?

Also, does Sammy speak English or Spanish with her parents? I can easily imagine her speaking Spanish with her grandma.

I LOVE that you’re interested in these answers, so I do not mind at all! I don’t know if you’re Latinx yourself, but as someone who IS, it was really important to me that we had these discussions and were really specific in our approach to the character.

However, I’m gonna be straight with you: even though all of this was discussed, you’re asking because none of it actually made it to screen — and, IMO, it’s okay that it didn’t because it wasn’t ever really story-relevant. In the interest of not wanting to step on any toes and leave things up for interpretation so that fans can discuss things, I’m gonna go ahead and say that you can go have fun with your head canons in these!

Until something is canonized by actually happening on-screen, I think it’s better for the fandom to interact with the show like this than for us to write, like, encyclopedia entries for you lol. Go with what feels right for you!

First time I watched Camp Cretaceous was four years ago when I went to Singapore for a holiday and visited Universal studios there. Since I'm heading there for a third time at the start of September (second time was a day trip when I went to Malaysia) I though why not binge watch the whole series again when I get there since I fondly remember how hooked I became after watching it for the first time.
