Light is the thing with feathers
Death is just another
Aspect of life
For it takes someone
And gives them a new home.
Sometimes a person was not ready yet,
To leave their old home.
And then grief and anger
And sometimes even despair fill the
Hearts of all their loved ones.
But deep down I hope —
I know we’ll meet them again,
Even if it’s in the depths of those emotions,
Even if it’s in another life.
Where you and me unify,
Love will prevail over night.
Light, O light, will lay siege and dispel
The shadows in its flight.

It’s been seven years and three months since he’s gone — RIP Robin.
“How could you not want to fall in love?”
“Easy. I don't want my happiness to depend on whether a person gives me their attention or not. I don't want stay up late wondering whether he is thinking about me. I don't want to cry over someone who may not care. I don't want to stare at my phone screen waiting for a text. Most importantly, I don't want to give anyone the power to destroy me.”
My heart is not captured easily. I am disinterested in small talk, disillusioned with love, and too focused on my dreams and aspirations to lend anybody my attention for long. But if we make that connection, if you find your way into my heart, God, I will fall for you like gravity has let go of the earth." — Beau Taplin
You've become so damaged
That when someone
Wants to give you
What you deserve
You have no idea
How to respond
— Pillow Thoughts, Courtney Peppernell
I'm not used to being loved I wouldn't know what to do.
— F. Scott Fitzgerald
I think it's very healthy to spend time alone. You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person.
— Oscar Wilde
“You love what you need, you love what makes you feel good, you love what is convenient. How can you say you love one person when there are ten thousand people in the world that you would love more if you ever met them? But you'll never meet them. All right, so we do the best we can. Granted. But we must still realize that love is just the result of a chance encounter.” — Charles Bukowski
“How many times have people used a pen or paintbrush because they couldn’t pull the trigger?” — Virginia Woolf
“Yet sometimes one trembling star comes in the clear sky and makes me think the world beautiful.”
— Virginia Woolf
Nothing ever ends poetically. It ends and we turn it into poetry. All that blood was never once beautiful. It was just red.
— Kait Rokowski
I have such a big love for this movie and these characters—it’s indescribable.
I hate how they cut out a scene in the final edition where Todd is helping Neil with his lines. I think that should have been kept in as it really shows how deep their friendship is.
“But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.”
— John Keating
“We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.”
— Dead Poets Society, 1989
