((Alright, one (I think) thread left with Nik, and a starter for Jen, but I am so tired. today was full of adulting. Work meetings and laundry and house hunting and new baby kittens named Doughnut have left me dead, considering I’ve been up and moving for.... shit, over 12 hours now.

I’ll try to get to things tomorrow, but for now - goodnight~))

Calme pulled his legs up, situating himself entirely on the seat and pressed up neatly against Danny’s side, drawing all the comfort he could from a familiar body. It made him seem smaller than usual as well, but he didn’t mind. (He minded the cold though.)

“I haven’t had the… pleasure of meeting with Caitlyn at all, recently, but I guess it’s been at least a month or two since you’ve come around.” It wasn’t meant to be a jab; just a simple observation. “Though, I don’t think much has changed with me.”

He was still at the inn, still taking care of the pokemon in any way he could, getting after his workers for slacking off.

“Everything’s fine.” If the whole blind thing wasn’t counted into the equation at all.

Despite the time he knew he’d spent away from Calme, the position he took up against the boy was as familiar as always – if not entirely the same as before the accident, but he couldn’t hope for miracles there. He’d take what he could get with the dulled sense of warmth beside him, happy that Calme wanted to offer him that at all.

Although he disliked himself for even thinking it, Danny was somewhat glad Calme couldn’t see the disapproving frown at his attempts to dismiss anything that had happened. After all the scolding Danny himself had gotten from so many people about pushing issues under the rug, and after what had clearly happened because of it, it was hard to keep from arguing.

Still, he couldn’t help but prod at the issue at least one last time. “Is it?”

Beth was typically all in favor of letting her Pokémon go out for walks with her; they needed some fresh air just as much as she did, after all. However, it occasionally had some rather unfortunate results… She really ought to know to wait until she got out to the less-crowded areas of North or South Boulevard.

Trek had been wrapped around her shoulders, much like a very long and very furry scarf, until the two had been jostled by a few two many tourists. The Furret had quickly jumped down to the pavement and scurried around feet, attempting to find somewhere a little more open, and was out of Beth’s sight before she could fully register it.

“…T-trek, wait!” she called, a bit uselessly, hoping that if the Furret was stopped, it was at least by someone friendly…

Maeve trilled in delight as she drifted around the area, keeping just over the heads of the people she soared past and occasionally ruffling the hair of girls that caught her eye for just a little too long. It’d be so long since she’d been brought on a walk into town, and she’d make the most of it!

Danny only kept half a watchful eye on the energetic Mismagius, far less concerned over that her antics might do to others and more on how close others got to him. He kept a bit off out of the general stream of traffic, but occasionally someone would stray too close and draw in the wandering Mismagius’ attention, a chittered warning steering them away from the man.

As she drifted away once more, a lone Pokemon darting under the feet of the tourists caught his attention. Danny slowly knelt down when it paused close to him, voice soft to keep from startling it. It looked a little too well kept to be wild, and it’s trainer might be close to recatching it. “Are you lost? Where’s your trainer?”

He let out a heavy sigh of relief, almost daring to let go of the tree, “I… agree!” Dio hated battling, mostly because his main pokemon was his favorite, and he didn’t want it to get hurt.

“I’m Dio. Hi,” He said quietly, giving a small wave, hoping not to rouse any attack or ill-feelings, still wary of his current company.

Caitlyn raised her free hand in a half wave, a pleasant smile perking back up over her face. “Caitlyn. Nice to meet you, Dio! And this is Leo, and I promise, he’s never attacked anyone who hasn’t hurt me first. He just wants to seem tough, but he’s a big softy.” She punctuated her words by reaching down and squishing the lion’s cheeks, forcing his face into a silly expression.

((I’m really sorry about spotty activity, buuuuut house hunting can be srs business! In other news I might have found THE condo today - I’ll know tomorrow if there are any other bids, and on Monday there’s some bidding.... thing, and I think I’ll know if my bid wins the place sometime soon after that!))

Caitlyn didn't bother to keep her grin concealed or pushed down as she called out to the other girl, “You’re kinda hot when you’re mad!”

“W-Wha? No I’m not!” The green haired girl struggled to keep down her own blush. “Do you have any idea who you’re talking to, huh?!” It’s clear she’s only becoming more angry and flustered.

“O-Of course I can! I can argue it as much as I want, cause it’s not true!” Any way you looked at it, Lilias was very stubborn and certain she was right.

Caitlyn tilted her head to the side, the perfect image of innocence if you ignored the grin that threatened to break free. “Why not? Why isn’t it true? You can’t have that low self confidence, right?”

Spill it: Do you over-indulge yourself on anything very often? ((For Nik & Caitlyn))

Caitlyn: My entire life’s kind of an over-indulgence right now? I’m getting paid to travel around to pretty much everywhere, I’m often getting fed really expensive meals while meeting with clients, I have the cash for even those stupidly expensive Kalosian shops... 

Nik: Whenever Cait’s home for a while, we end up baking a ton of sweets and then she leaves me alone with them...

It did, however, take her a moment to register what the other said “I am not hot when I’m angry!”

An eye roll, followed by another smirk. She’d drop that issue for the moment - there were more pressing matters here. “And how exactly do you think you can prove me wrong, ocean girl? You can’t really argue someone’s opinion.”

“N-n-n-no! That.. that won’t be needed,” He held his hands in front of him, hoping to keep the lion pokemon at bay. Maybe he was being paranoid as usual, but the Luxray seemed to want to hurt him.

“I-I-I-I… I just don’t want to battle…”

Raising an eyebrow, Caitlyn looked the boy over. Man, he really was skittish, wasn’t he? She kept scratching Leo’s ears, hoping to relax him enough to stop scaring the poor guy. “Is this about that stupid ‘battle whoever meets your eyes’ rule? Because fuck that rule. If you want to battle people, great, but if you don’t, they shouldn’t try and force you.”

I mean, the backstory brushes up briefly on Fiona, but it doesn’t really go into detail, and I’m still really pleased with how many people enjoyed following those story arcs. ))

Emmie smiled gladly, eyes crinkling upwards- than she let her fingers brush against the sharp appendage, careful to not slip down and prick her finger on the tip. “Nice to meet you, too.” She told the Beedrill, apparently named Citrine- and her trainer was apparently Nick.

“I’m Emmie. It’s nice to meet you too!” She now told the trainer, fingers still in contact with the stinger with the utmost carefulness. This bug was quieter in personality, but Citrine did remind her of Caldia. As Nik spoke of her wings, Emmie found her eyes drifting off to the mentioned appendages- so it wasn’t a fixable thing? That was…just sad. 

“I guess. Sunlight is energizing for every bug to warrant a take-off, maybe. My own bug certainly seems to like it, though that may be because she’s part Fire.” And wasn’t she fiery. Emmie scooted over a bit, allowing Nik a space close to his Beedrill. “We might as well sit together. Have our bugs do some sunbathing. Um, would you like to see her?” The last part was said with a questioning lilt, Emmie peering at her temporary company.

Nik took the offered seat with a curious tilt of his head. “Part fire? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a part fire bug before. We’d love to meet her, right bienchen?” He directed the question to Citrine, who refocused her attention onto him due to the affectionate nickname if only for a moment, before tilting back toward the girl.

“I think that’s an agreement,” he translated with a laugh. Generally speaking, she’d never had any issues with other Pokemon before – it was always the people, more children than anything. After her cocoon, he couldn’t blame her. If Citrine liked Emmie well enough, then her Pokemon shouldn’t be a problem either.
