I personally quite like the lekku/montrals as the main togruta hearing organs but if these holes are directly linked to eardrums n all that, they have to consider how that actually affects the established biology and evolution of togs.

I would assume that even if not directly connected to an ear canal type structure, the holes might be for equalizing air pressure inside the hollow montral structure. Otherwise changing altitude would be painful I'd imagine.
