lulu’s face is painted with wide eyes and a playful grin at her mothers words, waiting for the answer. “why mama?!” she finally blurts out.

she liked having meals that looked picture perfect. but sometimes she did want just some diner food that may not be the prettiest but tasted amazing. she didn’t know she needed it until she smelled it. besides, this younger girl was so cute. in a way, it made her miss molly, especially when she was this little. she was older, had a loving family and they talked but she sometimes missed having her this little, crawl into bed with annie and ask to see her note or hear her sing.
the redhead smiled back. “is your mommy at least here?” she hoped she wasn’t lost or left behind. she’d stay as long as she needed to if it meant she wasn’t by herself. “what’s your name?”
“oh yah. she wouldn’t leave me here without telling me.” a four year olds version of, my mom wouldn’t leave unless she told me she was leaving and dawn or becky would be watching her. at least, lulu figured it was safe to assume that. a slight pause as she pulled herself up in the seat of the booth, opposite the redhead. she was about to offer to introduce the other to her mother, but then she was distracted by her next question and completely forgot the intent.
“i’m lulu! what’s your name?”

“that’s crazy high! yah, let’s try and count ‘em.”

“you mean to tell me that your mom can come up with a recipe for a pie on the spot?” that idea was practically unheard of in the gilmore household. even instant mashed potatoes were a foreign concept that required too much effort on their part. “you’re making that up.”
“no joke, she’s been doing it my entire life and honestly i don’t know how she does it, but she does. you could maybe come in the back with me one time, see it for real? i’m not really sure how you can prove that, but it’s legit. cross my heart!”
i do NOT need to make a WINNIE FOSTER blog i do NOT. but i want to i really really want too! && she would fit so well into the Anne With An E fandom. grrr

He watched the young girl for a moment, nodding his head when she listed the kinds of pies to him. “They all sound delicious honestly. Chocolate sounds good but so does the strawberry.” He paused for a moment. “Maybe I’ll have to try them both.”
“ya!” she grins. “that’s a good idea.” a smart one at that, she’s going to remember for next time her mom asks what slice of pie she wants. maybe she will be able to get two slices out of jenna.
STARTER CALL. / @pinkpoisoned
she’s a mere freshman, and yet she’s standing in the train of the most popular junior girl in school. all the other teenagers stare, some in awe, but most seem to be out of fear. almost hiding those stares. it doesn’t matter to lulu though. you don’t have to fear the plastics when you are with the plastics. she’s a little scared to even speak to regina again, she doesn’t want to say the wrong thing and ruin it all. it still felt like she was dreaming, and of course gretchen, standing next to her, had made a comment about how lulu seemed to have her head in the air which quickly pulled her out of that trans. trays now resting on the lunch table, she watches the others a moment before mimicking how they slide onto the bench. “i lough of sounding cliche.” words are suddenly falling form her lips before she even has time to rethink them. “do they always stare like that?”
soldierheartcd:
“Yeah, five sounds good,” Delia concurred with a small nod of the head. The closer to the actual time of the dance they started, the better. That way they’d be having far too much fun to have any time to wonder about what they might be missing out on at school. Well, not that it would be very much. Their stories would be much more interesting to share than their classmates’ on Monday. “As long as it’s something store bought,” she half teased, knowing her mother wasn’t anywhere near as good of a cook as LuLu’s.
“yah, i’ll remind my mom.” she responds with a laugh and a slight shake of her head. it was something special, having a mom like jenna. then again, she thought delia’s mom was special too. just in more of a medical way. jenna can feed kids, but teddy can save their lives when serious things happen. a fair trade off. “i’ll text you or, let you know at school tomorrow.”

he was used to it. every child is different, some children can talk easily if you talk about one of their favorite things. it helps distract them from any painful procedure they may be enduring. then there was sweet little lulu. quiet, shy. john had tried to start a few conversations as he was putting pressure on her forehead cut, then eventually examining it. but she stayed quiet. he wasn’t going to put any pressure on her. one thing he knew for sure, a head CT was in her immmedient future. while she was active and alert with no obvious symptoms, you could never be 100 percent sure without one. especially since there was a headache, which tylonel was given. gloved hands are now stained red from the blood as he focusses on her cut. the bleeding finally had slowed down. but he knew that it would require some stitches. he was very impressed, not even a flinch at the needle when he numbed it. he had found a few small shards of glass, but soon it was ready to be cleaned up and stitched up. ❝ this will sting. you are being so brave sweetheart. i am really impressed. good job. ❞ he warned her as he cleaned the laccaration with some saline.
❝ a little birdie told me you like pies. what is your favorite? ❞ he tried again to get her talking.
she doesn’t know if it’s intentional or not, but she’s grateful that she isn’t being pressured to talk right now. she could just stay quiet, focus on staying calm and of course breathing just like jenna’s always told her to do in scary situations. and sure, this was scary. but she’s certain the scariest part is over. the only other worry on her mind is that her mother’s okay. though, reassuring words from dawn and some other surgeon rang through her head, keeping her expectations positive. perhaps its the lack of negative thoughts in her head that are keeping her so calm. she’d focused her eyes on a spot on the wall for a while, but now her eyes are focused on dawn, her godmother sitting in the corner. that small assuring smile was enough for her to turn her attention to the doctor when he spoke to her. sting, that didn’t sound fun, but at least she knew. she even show a glimpse of the smile at the brave comment. a soft voice finally speaking to him. “definitely chocolate covered strawberry. but i like Lulu’s strawberry dream ‘cause my momma named it after me and also marshmallow mermaid.”

❝ RUMOR has it , huh ? ❞ his smirk shows nothing less than proper amusement , brows delicately raising in sync with the first word spoken . ❝ y - you d - d - don’t ——— ACTUALLY b - believe it , d - d - do y - you ? ? ? ❞
“nah, my moms always praising old joe. it’s hard to believe he’d have a reason to haunt this place.” there’s a pause, mostly for dramatic storytelling effect. “then again, sometimes we hear noises in the back, and things get moved around and everyone swears they didn’t touch it so.” she shrugs. “who know’s, anything IS possible, right?”
a WAITRESS/MAMMA MIA crossover where lulu tries to explain to sophie that you don’t need a father.

“RUMOR HAS IT...” okay so, technically the rumor had been started by lulu herself, but that didn’t make it any less of a rumor. “the guy who used to own this diner, old joe, haunts the place.”

“you should try my chocolate covered strawberry pie. i made it with my mommy.”
