First day of my sophomore year in high school, I walked into my theatre class and a freshman girl’s face lit up and she was like “Hey! I know you from Tumblr!” (I used to post my face a lot more) and for some reason I will never have justification for, I looked her in the eye and said “No you don’t.” and I would like to formally apologize, I’ve been thinking of that moment for 10 years. That was terrible. No clue if you still follow me, I know I do still have followers from a decade ago, I am so sorry. I panicked. I gaslit you. I am The Tumblrina. Destiny here was making a futile point that men are worse off because they don't receive as much social training (eg. the training of handling emotions instead of responding physically). This lady here points out that this doesn't make men the victim, in fact, just makes people around them worse off, and that men need to work on these things. She points out that a lower amount of social training for men right now doesn't mean men are completely hopeless, she says that this realisation isn't an excuse to be an asshole, but can rather be a pivotal point in which men make sure they positively grow. This can be done through consciously making an effort to not practise toxic masculinity and to instead be nice and person for yourself and others.
