Tbh I hope she doesn't get a robot arm. The only thing more badass than fighting with a robot arm is fighting with only one arm
We don’t deserve Samantha Bee, but I’m so grateful she’s there for us, anyway.
“Again? Again. - Full Frontal with Samantha Bee”
May I ask, what exactly are the Teleportation and Synth theories about Pyrrha's return about?
Teleportation - The theory that Pyrrha was teleported by Cinder’s arrow somewhere else, mainly to hell, where people theorise Ozpin has been sent to see Salem. That’s why Pyrrha was reduced to ash or dust or whatever it was.
Synth - Not too sure, but I think in revolves around the theory that somehow Pyrrha will return as a synthetic, like Penny.
My theory - Either she’s not coming back at all, or Nora will break the fourth wall again and pull her out of the character bin, or she’ll come back as fully organic Pyrrha, and Jaune will die moments later.
I know I’m not right, but who knows?
How about this idea: maybe her semblence was stolen? We still dont know just what would have happened if the Fall girl had had ALL her powers stolen. Just half was enough to put damaging scars on her face as well as nearly kill her, so what just might of happened if all of it was stolen. Possibly… disintegration? And this may be a bit of a stretch, but you could almost say that the powers of fall were, maybe, a semblence itself? Cinder may not of just killed Pyrrha, maybe she wanted more power. But that’s not all, what if there was a way to reverse it. Maybe a stretch as well, but who knows…
Oh shit, I just realized something. I was rewatching Volume 2 and they were talking about Pyrrha's abilities and Cinder just said: "Add her to the list (almost definitely a list of people's semblences she wants to take)" and then she said "It's not about overpowering the enemy, it's about taking away what power they have." I'm now positive this is gonna become canon, I just know it!
RWBY OTPS
→ White Rose, Arkos, Renora, Bumbleby.
anyways.,, black sun has no depth or meaning beyond a wink and blake literally showed zero interest in him every time he approached her aside from blushing once; tauradonna is abusive and manipulative and adam does not love her, he wants to own her, there is a difference; yang is the only person canonically stated blake loves (by another character who knows her better than anyone) and the most upsetting thing that happened to yang wasn’t losing her arm, it was blake leaving. just like what the fuck ever blake and yang are soulmates ill see you bitches next season
“I’ll see you bitches next season” I think I love you–

Okay, so my hope for canon Bumbleby is slowly coming back, all of it, even my faith for Pyrrha’s return.
Where I’m at is hoping in the teleportation theory, or the synth theory, or something else that will result in us getting Pyrrha back in a physical form and not some crappy spirit thing. (Also still hoping Jaune bites the dust)
And I’m sure, Bumbleby just has to be canon, I mean there’s just so much evidence and feelings, so much plot, and so much more potential than Black Sun.
I guess though I’ll just always have doubts and insecurities about the bees until I actually see them confess their romantic love for each other, either through words or a kiss, and then for both of them to survive and get to safety, and then for the season to end with them safe. Then I’ll know.
I swear I’m not stalking you or anything, I’m just going through the black sun tag. Please explain to me how bumbleby has more evidence than black sun. I would love to hear it. Bumbleby is a fantastic fan ship, it really is. But there’s quite literally zero solid evidence of it being canon.
May I entertain this?
There is PLENTY of evidence in canon that BB could become canon, and it’s practically already canon that Yang deeply loves Blake, probably much more romantically than platonically.
Let’s not forget that Blake CHOSE Yang as a partner, first of all. Blake conveniently hid in the trees during initiation and didn’t come out until she knew Yang was alone. Her first reaction to pairing up with Yang, despite their first interaction earlier on at Beacon, was to smile at Yang. Blake obviously knew Yang would be the best person (of ALL first years in Beacon) to become her partner, someone she KNEW she would be compatible with and would accept her once her Faunus roots were revealed (because come on, Blake wouldn’t pair herself with anyone if she knew there was a risk that that person would hurt her for finding out she’s Faunus), and that’s the first bit right there to show just how much faith Blake had in Yang BEFORE they had even really “properly” met.
Throughout Volume 1, Yang continued to empathize with Blake every time Blake expressed her feelings about Faunus mistreatment. Yang was the first one to jump to Blake’s defense after learning Blake used to be a member of the White Fang, and she endlessly dragged Weiss around town to look for her despite Weiss’s constant badgering for Yang to turn Blake in to the police. If there was a single chance Blake was a violent person, Yang wouldn’t believe it, and that goes beyond them just being partners. I’m pretty sure if Ruby had been a violent person in the past, Weiss would’ve immediately separated herself from Ruby (back in V1, anyway) regardless of them being partners. Yang had the utmost faith and respect toward Blake, and by trusting her, she was risking hers and her teammates’ lives (because even though WE know Blake was never a violent person, to any other Human on Remnant, the WF are violent creeps and could hurt anyone at any given moment, and Blake was still associated with them one way or another).
Come Volume 2, Blake is in a terrible funk, and Yang is the ONLY one who is able to get through to her. Blake is also the only person we’ve ever seen Yang be vulnerable around up until that point, and Yang chose Blake to tell her backstory to despite how much it CLEARLY hurt to talk about it, and even when Blake tried to dismiss Yang’s story as something “less” than what she was going through with Torchwick, Yang STILL fought to get Blake to listen to her, STILL begged her to listen, STILL held Blake in her arms and begged for Blake to just get some rest, to just think about the people who care about her (i.e. Yang herself). Yang was clearly melancholic when she asked Blake one last time to go to the dance, the first time we had ever seen Yang almost as depressed and anxious as Blake herself. Also, let’s not forget that instead of going to talk to Blake about what’s bothering her and how he could help (like Yang did), Sun just tried to brush off Blake’s feelings and chalked her behavior up to “being Blakey”, as if something wasn’t completely off with her and it was just something Blake always did. While, yes, Sun obviously cares about Blake, and definitely moreso than in just a platonic way, he still did not act on his feelings, showed no actual remorse or sympathy or guilt at all over Blake’s anxiety and sleep deprivation, and at the end of the day, it was Yang who rushed to Blake’s rescue and used every last tactic she could think of to get Blake to finally open up and let her in.
And finally, let’s talk about Volume 3. While, yeah, Blake blushed pointedly after Sun’s “finger pistols” at her during the tournament, blushing at someone does not automatically mean they’re attracted to them. Blake could’ve simply been embarrassed for all we know. And sure, maybe she does like him, BUT that does not mean she can’t feel something for someone else, too, let’s remember that. And the next time we really even see Blake doing much at all in Volume 3 is after everything with Yang and Mercury happened, and Yang was CLEARLY distraught, depressed, anxious, scared, worried, and heartbroken, but she did not shed a single tear until Blake hinted that she might not be able to trust Yang. And when Blake finally elaborated, she talked about Adam, the man she presumptuously had a relationship with (at least based on what we’ve seen/heard of them so far) and worked close with for years, and compared him to Yang, compared YANG to him, not as a monster, but as someone she deeply cares about and is afraid to see her turn into the monster that he became. She’s afraid FOR Yang, not OF her, and that’s why she was having trouble expressing how she felt about the Mercury incident. But they cleared things up, they were cool again, and then more shit happened. When all hell broke lose at Beacon, Yang was the first person Blake and Weiss tried to look for, and Blake was the first person (other than Ruby, of course, which makes total sense because she’s her sister) she called. Blake decided to split up and look for Yang while Weiss went off to look for Ruby, even though the two would’ve been arguably safer just staying together and finding a teacher to help. Then, Blake found Adam. And Adam promised to take away everything she loves, starting with Yang, of all people. Blake didn’t even have to TELL Adam she loved Yang, he already KNEW just by looking at her the second Yang called Blake’s name, and as soon as he saw that, he made up his mind, wounded Blake in order to get Yang’s attention, and Yang instantly went into attack mode with all emotions flaring (you can actually see her in tears as she’s flying toward Adam trying to protect Blake). After Adam took Yang’s arm and knocked her unconscious, Blake AGAIN threw herself in front of Yang, knowing there was a chance Adam would kill her (and he really actually would have if Blake hadn’t used her clones), and was willing to DIE for Yang, to give her life for Yang, a Human, someone she had only known for a little under a year (assumedly). At this point, we already know that Blake absolutely loves Yang, and while it’s not specified whether that love is platonic or romantic, one thing we DO know is that Yang is probably the very most important person in her life right then and there, and getting Yang to safety was her first priority. Once Yang was safe, Blake, in tears, apologized over and over again because she’d probably already made up her mind that she was going to leave Yang. Yang was assumedly the last person she talked to before she ran away, the last person she held and cried for, and Blake while a lot of people think that Blake ran away just because she’s a coward, she REALLY ran away to keep Yang and her friends safe. She didn’t stay for Sun. Didn’t even express any interest in Sun at all, nor did Sun express interest in Blake at that time. The only thing Blake cared about, the only person she cared about right then was Yang. The writers could’ve easily made Black Sun canon right then, but they chose not, instead choosing to focus on Blake and Yang, and then Blake disappeared. And then the next thing we know, Yang’s in bed a depressed mess because her team is torn apart, and the one person she trusted more than anything in the world (Blake) left her. Yang wasn’t angry that Weiss left. She understood. She only broke when she tried to talk about Blake, pushed Ruby away when she mentioned Blake, because Blake is too hard for her to talk about, because Yang obviously cared about Blake more than she cared about most people in her life (and that’s saying a lot because Yang pretty much cares about everyone).
While, no, BB hasn’t yet been made “canon” by any specific words, the chemistry, the emotions, the subtext, EVERYTHING that makes a great and compelling relationship is right there. They have something that Black Sun don’t have, and that’s true, raw emotion that shakes both characters to the core, when we’ve yet to see either Blake or Sun react to each other in such a way. You can call it “friendship” all you want, but their undying loyalty toward each other is much too raw, much too real for at least one of them not to have feelings for the other. And I’m wiling to bet that Yang 100% has romantic feelings toward Blake and will not be getting over them anytime soon.
And that’s why EJ is one of the best people in the world. Because he has a brain, and a heart and literally just jumped to my aid.
EJ, I owe you a massive hug if you’d accept it
Of course *hugs* :)
Damn. I Second that whole bit right there. There was no better way to put it, @ej-the-cat. That was more or less everything I believe on the matter, and you presented it excellently. Also, kudos to helping out @valkurion-universe. As previously said, thats a fine brain, and heart :)
