Doesn't the shinigami eyes extension mark transphobia to trans men as green?
Hoo boy. This sure is a question! I'm gonna try breaking this down a bit.
Shinigami eyes is more useful for the red marks, not the green marks
The marks ARE community sourced, so it's not impossible
Honestly, though, that doesn't sound very likely! I think you're probably hearing talking points from people who don't like it when people push back against transmisogyny
I'm not sure how much you've been following the discourse, but there's this ongoing argument about the concept of "transandrophobia" as a counterpart to transmisogyny.
Transmisogyny is the intersection of two different kinds of sexism - oppositional and traditional. Traditional sexism is the idea that masculinity is superior to femininity. Oppositional sexism is the idea that male and female are rigid and mutually exclusive.
Trans men obviously suffer from transphobia and discrimination, and in the lens above, they are victims of oppositional sexism constantly. However, they are also beneficiaries of traditional sexism; there are advantages that trans men specifically have over trans women, even if access to those privileges is limited.
You can also understand transmisogyny as the unique phenomenon that arises from the intersection of transphobia and misogyny. In both of these understandings, "transandrophobia" is an unhelpful and counterintuitive idea, as it asserts that there is a unique form of discrimination levyed against men, which is a distinctly anti-feminist idea.
People who push back against this are generally not trying to deny the countless ways that trans men are discriminated against, rather, the misunderstanding of feminist ideas that allows "transandrophobia" to exist is something that allows people to shout down trans women trying to talk about our own oppression; it's a shallow desire to claim "transmisogyny for boys" which is, again, anti-feminist.
Some of what you're seeing is likely part of that debate - feminists discussing the ways in which feminist ideas are misinterpreted.
I'm curious to know where and how you got the idea that transphobia to trans men is something marked as green - i would be rather suspicious of anyone echoing that claim.
"you're biased in favor of trans women" yes. i am. and i'm entirely right for it.
bringing this back because it's pride month and people are saying i'm trying to "divide the community." motherfucker everyone in the queer and trans communities shit on transfems all the time and you want me to act like there isn't already a division? no one gets to pretend like everything's okay when the people who are supposed to be our allies are transmisogynists. everyone is already biased against us. do you know how sickening it is to see random people in my fucking community so easily and readily go along with any accusation against transfems, no matter how absurd or unsubstantiated? do you know how sickening it is that the people i'm supposed to lean on are the ones painting us as predators and monsters and threats for no other reason than "the vibes were off"?
i'll stop being biased for transfems when there's no longer a need. i'll stop when people actually treat us like people and not some fucking underclass they unfortunately have to include. hell, it would be a leap forward for aspiring allies to even so much as acknowledge that we're treated this way, instead of living in a fantasy that we're doing just as well or unwell as anyone else. so long as the status quo continues, the community is already divided. try working with us instead of pretending we're making shit up if you want me to stop being a bitch about it.
so staff might be terminating random transfems like dozens of times within a day on pride month and they might be literally taking the trans colors out of the progress flag and they might be perfectly happy letting nazis openly doing constant sexual harassment campaigns with the express purpose of trying to kill the target. but at least they brought pjackks blog back! that makes up for it! happy pride month!
isn't it crazy that a woman being gender nonconforming literally just requires her to exist in her own body without making any changes whatsoever. why does the fact that i don't wear makeup and i don't shave and i don't wear a bra have to be some political act. why can't i just fucking exist
if i manage to nobly eek out some small measure of enjoyment from watching a straight youtube man, he should be honored. he should understand how lowly he is. and he should not, under any circumstances, remind me that he is attracted to women.
rest in peace you worthless shitmetal buffoon
I'm really trying hard to be a "It's everyone's first time learning something everyday" kind of guy but also if you don't know shit and you know you're, for whatever reason, a person who doesn't have context about something, why fucking talk. Like why are you talking. If you know you don't know what's being discussed why are you opining about it and getting confused when everyone is like, shut your empty headed mouth for the love of god? Are you ALSO learning for the first time that this is insufferable?? As though half the time these people aren't also insufferable pedants who'd blow a gasket if someone started talking about their loser hobbies wrong
"Here are my thoughts on this topic"
"You are completely off, you have gotten multiple basic facts wrong, you also lack x and y context"
"Well I didn't know that because I don't really involve myself in this topic" THEN SHUT UPPPPPPP OH MY GODDDDDDD

let's be honest here
slight correction
cool. another black child died in a hate crime
A South Carolina jury on Monday found a store owner not guilty of murder in the 2023 shooting of a Black 14-year-old.
apparently the murder happened in 2023 after doing some research but the murderer has been found not guilty.
black children get murdered and become victims of hate crimes every fucking day. this is ridiculous
im posting this here despite the website being extremely white centered, I want people to understand how in this country it's basically ok to murder and victimize black people, especially women and children in the name of "self defense" and white America will reward you for your antiblackness.
sorry, but you were socialized christian. I just can't trust you in a trans space
they literally taught you that trans people were subhuman and that you were better than them. I don't know if you can be trusted around other trans people
they scapegoated and abused you for showing signs of transness? uh... no? christianity is the most privileged religion there is. stop whining
gotta say I was not expecting people to go to bat for my strawman
me: "lol wouldn't it be crazy if trans communities treated ex-christian trans people who survived religious abuse the same way they treat trans women who they call 'male socialized'"
some of you, for some reason: "wait hold on that's a great idea"
very interesting rorschach test this post has become. some of you identify with the excluders, and then meanwhile every Muslim or ex-Muslim responder has identified with the excluded
let's all have a trans women + Muslim movie night. the theme will be "Forever Tainted by our Upbringings, Apparently"
Sophie Lewis looks back on Scapegoat to reassess the Andrea Dworkin's legacy, concluding that the current Dworkin revival is a "terrible ide
Scapegoat now states that women have no history but, if we did, it would be “a history of rape: the pogrom against the female body. The constant juxtaposition cuts short the breath that one would normally use to assess each claim, as it comes, before moving onto what follows. It turns my stomach in a way I suspect was not intended. A sudden comment on Chinese footbinding caps off, for instance, many paragraphs on the patriarchal oppression of women in Gaza. An abrupt swerve into Jew-on-Jew pimping follows many paragraphs on the pornographic core of National Socialism. A patronizing assessment of Palestinian women’s role in the resistance melts into yet another survey of state-sanctioned prostitution across the centuries. Dworkin has set herself the task to prove, inexorably—through a widening gyre of montage-based equivalences—that the “woman-hate” in men’s hearts really is everywhere, left and right. This hate will remain until women rise up across borders and draw new borders for themselves by seizing a homeland—an “Israel”—away from men. Her mission is carried out quite well. I just consider it fascistic, not least in its insistence on female innocence. Dworkin’s account of history is dazzlingly erudite and stunningly stupid at once: men have wrought it all. Even if your definition of “history” is strictly military, this is unpardonable stuff: armed struggles have always featured women leaders, such as, in the case of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Abla Taha, Latifa Howari, Sarah Joudeh and Leila Khaled. Dworkin doesn’t mention these or any other Palestinian women militants and reckons that feminism is not currently possible in the Arab world: “in the sensibility of contemporary Arab women, the Palestinian male is the romantic figure,” not the Palestinian woman. Tellingly, the whole question of Palestinian women’s anti-Zionist struggle is dealt with only indirectly, merged with a discussion of “the heroism of Algerian women fighters” between 1954 and ’62 whose purpose is to ram home the lesson that national liberation movements always betray their women. Besides, when women participate in struggle, it’s “because they can be used and useful” and “get a temporary pass from complete servility.” Also, “the subsuming of the individual in the nationalist struggle is an easy process for women, who have little experience with a social reification of a singular identity.” These women are fodder for revolutionary movements, Dworkin misogynistically opines, because they have no self. All the litanies of rape-related facts in previous Dworkin books like Intercourse have palpably been dress-rehearsals for the remix in chapter three. “Rape,” she raps here mid-infodump, “is murder’s heartbeat.” It’s an undeniably dope line. What’s odd is how, while the wretched of the earth are always women, “Pogrom/Rape” rests on the leftfield assertion that “Israeli men get raped.” Dworkin alleges that “the rape of a defeated foe, soldier, male” is “part of the Arab code, coexisting with the obligation of the father or brother to kill the sister for sexual impurity.” She extrapolates further, on the strength of the book Arab and Jew (1987) by former New York Times Jerusalem Bureau chief David Shipler, that Palestinian men are engaged in a “revenge vendetta through male-male rape.” It is in fact purely on this basis—that is, unevidenced testimony cited by Shipler from a former Haganah paramilitary veteran (and, later, IDF/IOF colonel) Rafi Horowitz, recalling the Arab Legion systematically gouging eyes and mutilating genitals—that Dworkin delivers her chilling verdict: “the revenge rape of male Israeli soldiers in captivity is part of the fear, part of the hate, that drives the Israeli fear of annihilation.” It’s her concluding point, and given that rape, for Dworkin, is the supreme justifier of bloody preemptive defense, there can be no mistaking what is being justified here.
as new grifters relentlessly dedicate themselves to digging up radical feminism and attempting to toss the exhumed corpse onto the kitchen table for attention, i think it's worth reading sophie lewis' scathing takedown of dworkin's zionism and how it's inextricable from the rest of her politics

we're far too culturally obsessed with men who are mean and rough around the edges but turn out to be big softies underneath it all when, in reality, most men who are like this are simply dicks
