pipelines are so bad for everyone! everyone but the companies who own them. pipelines leak! it’s not even just a “might leak” it’s a definately will leak within 10 years, yet they are building them through lakes and ground water and right near rivers. a pipeline owned by husky leaked into the North Saskatchewan River in 2016 tainting the water supply for many communities including the 3rd largest city in the province. the water couldn’t be used for washing even. there is still contaminated land where the spill occurred.

and the liberals think it’s okay to put a pipeline through BC? Beautiful British Columbia? full of water and mountains? it’s ridiculous!

if oil is so important to these companies then they need to figure out how to transport it without contaminating bodies of water.

Out of 11 countries, Canada was ranked ninth for health care, placing just above France and the United States.

A comprehensive new study of health care systems in developed nations has ranked Canadian health care near the bottom.

That’s well behind countries like the United Kingdom and Australia that led the pack.

The study relied on 72 metrics grouped into five distinct categories care process, access, administrative efficiency, equity, and health care outcomes.

Canada’s rating was hurt by its comparatively higher infant mortality rate, the prevalence of chronic conditions, long wait times in emergency rooms and to see specialists, poor availability of after-hours care, and a lack of reliable coverage for things like dental work and many prescription drugs.
