This is going to be a duel muse blog for my Lucifer and Alastor.

You will tell who is posting and who isn’t by the tags, the banner and the spoken lines.

Please keep in mind that these are how I write them and the backstories I made up for them. There might be some things related to canon events, but 99% of it isn't.

Lucifer could give him looks like that all he wanted - it would not change Alastor's opinion or stance on things, regardless. He met it without hesitation, his own calm and cool throughout the connection of their gazes before the other decided to agree.

"Perhaps the way to counteract them would be to create new, more accurate ones, hm? It's difficult to change perceptions of the past. Much easier to shape the future in the way that you desire it." If Lucifer felt so compelled to do such a thing, anyway. He did not strike Alastor as particularly eager to step forward to make himself a spectacle in one way or another, but the radio demon did not necessarily think that it would be a requirement to do so.

Just to be present, in general, for memories made during this historic time of the true establishment of the hotel. Not even Alastor himself could refute that it would shake Hell's foundation to its core for better or for worse. And it would be Lucifer's prerogative to be part of it. Or not.

"But I will not needle you so. I imagine you might have more questions for me?" If they were still in the nature of exchanging information in such a way.

"More drink for you, or are you feeling sufficiently tipsy?"

He could conjure more, if so requested. But with the way the other seemed to be growing more and more sluggish with the passage of the minutes, he was not in a hurry to have to pick the devil up off the floor at some point for overindulgence.

Lucifer's brows knitted together once more as he thought about that. To make the future something else. His lips pressed into a thin line. A light hum coming from his throat. His eyes a little glassy, but still present. He tipped his head from one side to the other as he brought his glass up and emptied it into his mouth.

Swallowing the last of what was in there. A claw tapping lightly on the side of the cup as his lips parted.

"I am not one to go out of my way to do things to prove myself or show off. That was never who I was. On the other hand. I do not plan to just sit by anymore. Even more so now that my daughter wants me to be a part of this."

He took a breath, shifting his body as he pulled a leg up and rested his chin on his knee. His other leg now down and swinging slightly. Hoof just barely grazing the ground as it did so.

"I just haven't figured out what I can do to help her just yet." He said as he then flicked his eyes back to the demon and gave him a soft smile.

"Well then, if you are still open to some more questions! Why are you here helping? From what I can see there is nothing to gain from helping out here when you already cause fear and have a name for yourself."

He then looked at his empty glass, thinking about it for a moment. But he already knew that once he stood up from this chair it was going to hit him all at once. He really did not want to fall over and pass out on this mans floor. He would much rather make it back to his room in one piece without having to be kicked out into the hall or carried...

"No. I think this is enough for me! I do still have a little bit left in the bottle you gave me already!" He said with a small giggle and a little hiccup. Easing more into the feeling of the alcohol streaming through his body.

The younger man looked confused as he listened to his elder, propping up an eyebrow in his curiosity. Don't make any deals? Now where did that come from he wondered? Quite the particular warning, really.

"Now why in all the seven hells would I ever do that?" He asked cautiously. Was that something that happened to them he wondered or was it simply just good advice to pass on to ones past self? Either was he wondered all the same.

"I have no intention to do so, truly. Though you my friend are not the first demon I've come upon who's mention it." The brunette human would shrug before leaning back with a smile. "I have summoned creatures from beyond the veil many a time. Though not always with a physical form like you have. I chalked that up to your strength."

"But there was one I who has brought it up by chance. I never truly saw her, but I managed to pry her voice from beyond the rip in time and space. She called herself Rosie." A name that would bring many a Alastor to cringe in annoyance. "The woman saw potential in me. Asked to work with me, for my soul. I of course turned her down."

"If you're warning is correct...they mean to suffocate my true power." Alastor concluded suspiciously. "I would be a indentured servant and never allowed my true power. If that's the case you needn't worry. I have no want to be someone else's slave, I assure you." The human snorted, waving his hand dismissively.

"If I am to rule over Hell I shall be doing it with my own power. Free to be the monster I wish to be none able or strong enough to stop me~" He purred.

The demon watched his mortal self. His eyes not straying from him as the other spoke. His ears twitching every once in a while. An amused smirk took over his normal resting one. His head tipped to the side. He pushed off the counter and went to sit once more when the last of what the other him said made him pause. Snort out a laugh with a little shake of his head.

He sat back down. Leg crossing over the other as he leaned back. His arms crossing over his chest.

"I see that many of us did the same thing, aside from you. Turning down a deal for power after death. Rosie isn't a name I knew in life, actually. Only after I was in hell did I learn it." He said as he then clicked his tongue lightly.

"Spirited one, that one. Be wary of her when you do end up in hell." He said as he then ran his fingers through his hair. Letting his claws itch around the base of his ears.

"As for taking over and ruling hell? Don't forget that there is indeed a king. The most powerful being there is down there. However. He isn't much of a ruler, so making sinners follow you if that is what you wish will be a breeze without his interference." He said as he then went about fixing his hair that he had messed up.

His eyes once more focusing on his mortal self.

"Power is everything in hell. Hold enough of it and they will fear your very name."

I know I have been coming and going on here. But I got overwhelmed and burnt myself out.

However! I have come up with a plan to keep that from happening.~

I shall be replying to RPs once a week on the weekends (Either Fridays or Saturdays). Unless I get more pep in my step.

I will reply quicker to small banter like things that take maybe 2-3 paragraphs. (Or less.)

But for longer RPs I shall be getting out responses once a week! If that is too much time for you, and you wish to not continue RPing with me, thats okay! Just let me know.

"Interesting~"

The younger man listened, intrigued by their differences and how his demon manipulated his shadow to do his bidding. It was curious to know their similarities and differences. They were the same yet not. Perhaps that was every world in every universe.

The mortal nodded, cocking his head like a curious pup would watching an older hound hunt. Perhaps in his world, magic was easier to come by, to learn. The aether must be far plentiful there if he already learned so much as a human.

"I am not nearly as talented. Not yet, of course but no matter the difficulties in our paths, i'm sure all of our stories end somewhat at the same conclusion, with the same sort of powers albeit different to apply to the logic of our worlds." The brunette mused.

"I know more than the average fool, yes. But I am still collecting and hording my knowledge. My goal is simply for power. To make those bend the knee once I too arrive in my place in Hell. With the power I wish to attain, I can continue my fun~" He purred with a dark twisted grin of glee.

"Truly I could not comprehend the power you wield."

And that was an honest truth. He was so powerful, so magnificent. Everything he wished to become one day. Just like that. "You are a goal I wish to achieve. As I can only imagine every one of us seems to want." He'd lean back, focusing again on the shadows underneath one of his palms, beckoning it to the world of the living with a swish hand.

"You understand our plight. For as different as we are. Our color never changes." Chocolate eyes flickered up to his stag. "You understand the difficulties of our lives as I am now. They see weakness in me. As inferior." He grinned. "I would burn them down in their homes with the power I wish to build."

"I would let them know I am not as weak as they think..."

The demon listened to the human speak. Nodding when it was needed. He knew that the way time flows, even more so in different timelines, was always going to have slightly different outcomes. This was the first time he has been in another timeline and meeting with another version of himself.

But he has read many things that have talked about the possibilities. Unless he was meeting himself back in time, there was bound to be a difference. Even if something's were still in alignment, just going toward the goal at different angles.

He stood up after his plate was empty and went over toward the sink to wash the dishes he had made, he knew he didn't have to do them, but it was nice to do something so... Mundane. He tipped his head to the side slightly as his ears flicked back to keep listening to the other man.

"Yes, things might be different. But the end goal is the same. I- Don't know if I can tell you this, or if your path is leading this way. However."

He paused, turned off the water and dried his hands. Slowly turning back toward the other.

"Don't make a deal with anyone before dying. If you can gain all the power you can muster before then and use every ounce of it when you get down there. Making deals with others for their souls is how you climb up the ladder."

He knew he was saying that, but he didn't even make a deal with a demon, yet his soul ended up in a demons hands by the end of it anyway. It- He was powerful enough as it was when he died, yet in the afterlife he was nothing more than a soul to be pushed around and did with as another pleased.

Alastor could both recognize Lucifer's power and status while simultaneously thinking him no better or above any of the rest of them. They were all cordoned here, after all, with little hope for leaving. Despite Charlie's best efforts - and no matter whether or not redemption was proven to be possible - to think that it would be a route made for anyone except the privileged or lucky... That was too much for anyone to hope for.

And so they were both here, speaking of their relation to sinner-kind. Both bitter in different ways, he understood.

"It's a bit difficult to refute the stories passed down over time without being present, you know," Alastor suggested. But he had a feeling that Lucifer knew that - and despite his hesitations surrounding sinner-kind, at the very least, the devil had made himself present at the hotel. Old habits being changed bit by bit over time, though if the radio demon knew anything, he knew how much potential there was for backsliding into old ways.

He did not care one way or another what Lucifer chose to do.

But if Charlie were to succeed in her endeavors - the whole reason why Alastor had been placed here to begin with to ensure - then Lucifer's involvement was paramount, in some way. For the sake of the princess's encouragement and network of support.

"In any case, I will not work to convince you of the merits of mankind. I am not much the poster child for anything except the worst of the worst." And he knew that. Wore it as a beacon of pride, in many ways.

"There are others more suited for such a crusade."

Lucifer was looking into his glass, a frown pulling on his lips as he stared. The liquid was almost gone and his head was feeling nice and floaty. He was feeling pretty good all in all. But the other mans words dinged around in his head.

With a sigh, his eyes flicked up toward Alastor. Looking at him from under his lashes. It was almost a glare if one didn't know better. A hum lifting from his throat. With a twirl of his wrist he nodded just slightly.

"I guess you're right. But I can't be there to counteract the stories anyway. So it doesn't matter. In the end mortals will believe what they believe. Doesn't mean it's true, but that also doesn't matter in the end."

He gave a small little shrug as he then let his eyes drift back to the glass in his hand. Lifting it to take another sip. He gave a small, hiccuped laugh at the others words as his head lifted and his eyes landed on Alastor once more.

"I don't need to be convinced of anything! Angels aren't that different from mortals. Even cast out as I am, I am still the father of sin. I don't deny that. However, the start of that tale is different than one might think. In saying that..."

He trailed off before finishing the drink and settling the glass on his knee.

"I can't change what happened, nor can I do anything about anything now. I just have to live with it. I answered the question you asked, my reasoning doesn't have to make sense and neither you nor myself have to convince the other of anything!"

Why so defensive? Because, that's why.

But Alastor could not summon the sentence structure to say as such, entirely drawn into the wings that seemed to rest over himself at some point and provide a much more in depth look and feel of their nature; how they folded and laid across himself. A loose feather plucked up into his hand, he paused to investigate it; to give it a sniff and a quick gnaw with his teeth.

Still strangely firm, but not unpleasantly so. Alastor had not had much experience with winged creatures, the extent of it being his occasional lifting of marshland birds from oil-soaked ponds within the Louisiana bayou. He imagined that Lucifer's wings were not like any actual bird he could have ever encountered.

And yet... he felt warmed by them as they covered him like an impromptu blanket.

"...You keep these hidden away too often," he eventually murmured, having shut his eyes to settle and bask in both the warmth being offered to him and the still satiated feeling of his belly.

In the silence that followed, Lucifer could actually feel himself starting to drift off. Like sleep was finally coming to claim him. It had been so long since he had gotten some good decent sleep. He was ready to fall head first into it. Not caring at all that the other man was still in his bed. That he had even covered him with his wings.

He jerked just slightly when Alastor spoke. His wings twitching somewhat before settling once more. He let a hum out before he spoke.

"I sometimes forget I have them. Plus, keeping a glamor on takes some thought and focus. And right now I just can't seem to be bothered to do so."

He said, his voice thick with the on coming sleep that was hanging around. Making his voice slightly more gravelly.

"Now hush. Either you get some sleep too, or leave."

He mumbled out, yet his wings tucked more into Alastor as Lucifer's body itself relaxed, and his mind shut off, letting sleep grip him and pull him under.

No one ever said he could not be antagonistic, even when making an attempt at friendly conversation. Lucifer's pouting earned a toothy grin nonetheless, feeding some of Alastor's satisfaction when it came to keeping himself one step above. But thankfully, the other's drunkenness kept him from finding any true offense, and Alastor would listen as he delved into his information to share, nonetheless.

There was not much that surprised him from what Lucifer told. Sinners as a collective were to blame, certainly, and even that, Alastor did not fault him for. He had no love for sinners, similarly, and the devolving of man into hatred, pride, and greed had been the standard for as long as he'd been around. To hear it from the perspective of Lucifer himself was the only novel part of this discovery, and the radio demon's head tilted, somewhat quizzically, when the devil had concluded.

"Not that I am here to act on behalf of the salvation of man or anything - but you do realize that humanity has the collective memory of a goldfish, yes? Gifts granted from one generation and passed down through the ages are soon cleaved from their status as a gift and begin to only be seen as a given. Free will might have begun as such, but how are the descendants of thousands meant to understand the gravitas of it when it has been their birthright from the first?"

He took a moment to sip from his own drink, humming in thought.

"You'd have better luck trying to permeate the trunk of a giant sequoia tree with a pencil. Even modern revisionist history has begun to alter the truth of humanity's follies from one month to the next, thanks to the spread of insidious technological advancements, let alone the story of humanity's very creation."

Drink swirling in his own glass, Alastor stared for a moment at Lucifer. There was some curiosity for how the other might take his words - but Alastor was just a man himself. And a sinner, to boot. For all intents and purposes, the devil had no real reason to tolerate his presence to begin with. And yet here he was, giving his perspective nonetheless.

"Your story is not exactly emblazoned upon recent memory. Especially not with your general absence."

Lucifer could feel his eyes brows knitting together as Alastor spoke. He just listened, the alcohol making him less likely to jump in thinking every little word was meant as an offense. It made him actually have to take the time to process the words before speaking on any of them. And in doing that made him more rational.

With a sigh, his legs moved from the crissed crossed way that they had been and moving his knees up toward his chest. His arms wrapping around them and his chin settling on top of his knees. One hand holding the almost empty glass.

"I mean, I get where you are coming from. I know it was a long time ago, but when you are older than humanity itself. Time is nothing to me. What feels like ages ago to you, feels like it happened yesterday to me. It's why I sometimes have issues letting things go. Even if they happened a while ago. It still feels fresh to me. Time is-- Funny."

He tipped his head just a tad as his eyes locked back onto Alastor's face.

"I know the word of mouth thing very well. It's how my own story got so twisted in the books and holy speeches. What really makes me laugh, Is that the followers of God, the ones that call themselves holy and stand in His house. Think I can't enter a place like that. When I can with no problem. I don't burn, I don't sizzle, and I don't hit an invisible wall."

He rolled his eyes.

"I can even drink the holy water and get annoyed if splashed by it, but it doesn't hurt. I still have divine grace, I am just forbidden to enter Heaven. Shows how much the texts teach about things. Though, it is fun to fuck with those people and act like things like that bother demons or me." He chuckled once more.

He knew he was just talking to talk now, but it was nice to get to chat like this. Sharing little stories that didn't really have a deeper meaning. Just things he thought were a bit funny. Or maybe he just felt nice talking with someone that didn't really seem to care who or what he was and still got annoyed with him all the same.

The younger man took the offered plate with a smile and a murmured word of thanks before happily walking towards the table along with his counterpart and taking his place in his chair, scooting in some with a delighted hum once his nose got a whiff of his meal.

"Stunning, darling truly. I expected no less from another version of me." He teased with a wink. "And oh yes, if you could, my dear. One cannot awake without a nice cup of joe I say." The mortal Alastor mused, wiggling his index finger side to side.

Once his cup was gathered to him, the brunette would take a comforted sip before digging into his morning breakfast with all the delicacy of a gentlemen, nothing like the feral beast he could be on a hunt, messy with blood, jaws snapping hungrily.

The young radio host's eyes flickered from his meal to the demon, watching his body rapidity shrink as too fit the table better. Now they were more or less the same size and height. How curious. Demon bodies could change so suddenly.

Alastor's human, listened as the beast before him explained he and his shadows origins as partners. "How extraordinary. Mine is still in it's infancy." The brunette would lift his hand, beckoning the drips of shadow from hit palms shade to rise slowly in an inky mess

The black wet tendril would wiggle under his hand, searching like a caterpillar on the wood for its master in a blind crawl. When Alastor took his hand away, revealing it to the morning rays of sun, it wiggled back into the wood, vanishing once again.

"I'm still learning to communicate with the fellow. My Shadowmancy could use a little work." The living man explained with a hushed shy giggle. "I would of course never turn down a powerful and knowledgeable Master, who would, through the kindness of his blackened heart...say to spread his know-how to a fellow twin of his~"

"Though I didn't know him as a boy like you. He was the first thing I was able to summon while still learning the occult. He had come to me and bonded with me. I fed him humans. He kept me safe from aggressors. Ever since I beckoned him to this world. We have been more or less together ever since."

The demon leaned back in the chair as he watched his mortal self conjure the shadow. A small thing really and not much to it just yet. He himself never went through doing something like that in life. His shadow, or rather his demon was just an extension of himself. He didn't have to do much at all.

He could just think it and the shadow just did it. It wasn't like he was controlling it. In hell, he could conjure shadow minions to do his bidding. Like fixing up holes in the hotel walls or fighting with some enemies didn't want to touch.

His own shadow tentacles were a bit different. Pulling from his own magic and not the shadows themselves. Only because they were physical parts of his own body morphed into extra appendages.

He picked up his cup and took a drink as he was gathering his thoughts on how to best describe it.

"I never actually learned the art. Like I said, my shadow is a being on its own. I don't control it really. I just think of something and the shadow does it."

He began.

"In hell, I can conjure up little shadow minions to do my dirty work, like fighting or fixing up things. But those come as normal as breathing. With a snap of my fingers they appear. But they don't really seem to have a mind of their own. Just a simple task and goal and then disappear once they are done."

His claws tapped lightly against the side of his mug.

"As for tentacles, Those are like pulling on my magic. Shaping it into something physical. Like making extra appendages for my body. At first, I had to constantly be thinking about them so they didn't disappear. Draining my energy and just making me ravenous until I got a little bite to eat."

He chuckled at that.

"But after a while, they come just as easily as anything else. As a mortal, I didn't have to think about that. When I was alive, it was more, spell casting and gathering the right materials to get the desired results. Chanting in old languages I had learned from my mother. Turns out that helped out grand in some things I needed that English couldn't do."

Blood flowed in abundance within Pentagram City. Even without the exterminations, slaughter was a staple amongst the sinners that populate Hell's Pride ring. One couldn't walk a block in any direction without seeing any, be they remnants or fresh.

Hugo just wished his own blood wasn't staining the pavement.

It was a risk to seek proper medical attention, one he didn't want to take. Too much attention, and who knew if demonic healthcare equipment would even work for him? A strip of his shirt for gauze and what remained of a bottle of booze as disinfectant was all he had. Still, the wound bled with every step he took, but he had to keep moving forward. Forever moving forward.

"Damn it all."

Alastor had watched, witnessed and stayed to his shadows. He was a silent predator, and he liked to stalk his prey before catching it. It was always more fun that way.

However, there was always one person who had seemed to get away. He was clever and seemed to know just how to evade Alastor by a hair. It was the most thrilling chase he could ever hope for.

This push and pull. The heat of the others skin just out of reach from his fingertips. Escaping the sharp edge of a knife and slipping into the very shadows that Alastor lived in.

He knew that once he did catch the man, it would be the most exciting catch. No one has ever managed to get away from him for this long. It was like the other man knew he was being hunted and just danced away without giving it away.

Alastor could almost taste the blood on his tongue. But then one day, he just seemed to vanish. Alastor had looked, turned over every stone he knew and trust him, he knew them all. Yet the man was simply, gone.

Alastor never stopped looking, but he did venture onto other things in the meantime. What he was thinking would happen, was ending up in hell only to pick right back up on his favorite toys trail.

It had seemed like the little guy had slipped into hell without dying. Clever man, but it was no use. Alastor just picked up right where he left off. Only this time was different. He was already a demon in hell while his prey was still a living soul in the sea of the damned.

Even through all the flesh and blood that lined the streets his boots clicked across. He could still catch the scent of fresh spilled blood from a certain living soul. He could taste the familiar copper on the back of his tongue as he sank deep into his shadows and followed it to the source.

The source that was pouring alcohol over a wound and wrapping it in tattered clothing. Popping up from his shadows, his static white noise filling the space around them as a low growled out chuckle filtered into the radio waves.

"I don't believe that is going to help you my dear! You should really be seeking medical treatment."

"I would not be inherently opposed to a repeat performance at some future juncture," Alastor murmured as the thought crested fully into his mind. It had been pleasant. Fulfilling. And he would be willing to offer quite a bit to engage in such behavior again.

Although to make it a regular thing...

Surely, at some point, someone might notice...

"...My blood cannot possibly be sour."

Was that even worth being offended over? He could not really tell - but it sounded as though he should defend the honor of his blood, even if the very idea that one could feasibly improve or change the taste of it was ridiculous in and of itself. But he was much more inebriated with that angelic blood than he'd thought, giving a few lazy and dismissive waves of a hand.

"You are mistaken. It is delicious and desirable."

There was no other way it could possibly be!

But before he could wax poetic about the effort he could feasibly put into improving the taste of his blood, Alastor's attention was once more pulled upwards to the wings that continued to remain on display, a hand extended so that he could - perhaps foolishly without asking - run claws lightly over one of the feathers. Curious. Intrigued as to what they might feel like. Soft? Coarse?

Hm.

Lucifer only hummed slightly, his legs slowly lifting up as they crossed at the ankles. Slightly moving back and forth. He nuzzled his head further down into the pillow of his arms. His eyes remaining closed. He had to admit, the tension in his shoulders had disappeared.

He was also glad that the demon wouldn't be opposed to doing this again. If it became a regular thing, that was something to be determined at a later date. Right now this was enough.

He was startled however, when Alastor defended the taste of his own blood. Lucifer's eyes opened as he looked over toward the other man. Blinking almost owlishly before a small giggle rolled up and out of his lips.

His legs dropped as he rose onto his elbows and cocked his head at Alastor.

"Why so defensive? I said it may have been sour due to the angelic magic. I haven't tried it when it's just your magic flowing through your veins."

He mused as he then settled back on the bed once more. His wings spreading out again. Shaking slightly as he stretched them. More feathers coming loose before he settled them.

Laying them out and even covering the sinner with them. His eyes closed once more as he let the little bit of relaxation come over him once more. He had to enjoy while he could. Because he knew once this little post-- Whatever was up, the tension would be back.

Sensing the amount of discomfort radiating from Lucifer at even the idea that Alastor might have been interested in his story, his curiosity was certainly piqued, silent while the devil plodded through his response, only to put the onus on the radio demon to probe into specifics.

Naturally, Alastor thought. But he supposed he could not truly fault a near ageless being for needing some specificity in the time frame for from which he could pull. That alone, he could do. But then Lucifer had to up the ante; had to reveal himself as willing to act the open book, as long as it was just for one night.

Hm. Fine, fine.

He could play ball.

"Then let's start with something that will not encourage you to instantaneously turn tail and abscond from the conversation, hm?" Alastor began, adjusting himself to sit further upright, slightly eager to facilitate some fact-finding.

"Is there one singular incident you can think of that has colored your view of sinners so much? Or, rather, is there an incident that stands out to you more than others? It seems quite the grudge you harbor for there to not be some sort of catalyst that pushed you to the tipping point."

Or perhaps it had simply been hundreds of thousands of years of observing the worst of the worst. Alastor did not doubt that could possibly be the case... but it seemed the must more boring explanation. He wanted to know if there was something specific - something much more prominent that stood out as truly detestable to the devil.

Maybe because he wondered, absently, if it was a line he himself had long since crossed.

The start of it only had Lucifer pouting. He wasn't going to run away. He already said he would answer. He might not like talking about some things, but he was also a man of his word. He shifted once more in the chair as he pulled his legs up under him. Sitting crissed crossed in his seat and placing his cup in the open space in the middle of them.

At the question, Lucifer had to actually pause to think about it. He wouldn't say there was just one instance that made him dislike the sinners. It was the whole of them that made bile rise up into his throat. It was the entire concept that did it for him. To pinpoint it to a specific thing? He couldn't do that.

He took in a breath, his eyes flicking back to meet Alastor's once more as his head tipped to the side.

"I can't pinpoint an instance, no. It's Sinners as a whole. If I really think back on it. It was only a few years after I carve out the rings that I truly changed my thoughts on the matter."

A sigh.

"At first, I was thrilled. Giving mortals the power to pick their own way. To not live by will of another. To see what you humans would do with that freedom. Slowly watching it all turn sour so fast. A mortal life is just a blink to a being like myself."

A hand pushed his hair from his face before he pressed his cheek against his hand.

"I had sympathy before. When I saw the spoils of war, of plague and natrual disaters. When the souls flooding into my gates where the souls of mortals who hadn't done any wrong. Children at the wrong time and in the wrong place."

His gaze shifted just slightly as if he was reliving memories.

"Souls heaven turned away because they didn't want them do to how they died, not how they lived. But then times changed and the people changed. Each sin committed worse than the last. Until it was nothing more than violence and self gain. No thoughts for others. Feelings washed away in greed."

He laughed at that.

"I suppose, I just grew bitter, watching mortals throw it all away without a second thought. When doing that got me tortured and banished while Sinners still live it up down here. Like nothing changed."

"I guess that was the turning point."

Was that too long-winded of an answer? Lucifer couldn't really care if it was or not, at least he gave somewhat of an answer in the end.

It was nice just to sit here and watch the redhead cook. It was nice just to have company and something nice to wake up too like this. Having his demon stay the night had been the best idea he had in awhile...a pity he would eventually have to go home soon.

"I slept the best I have in ages." The mortal confirmed as he pushed himself off the doorframe to come in. And he meant that. But then he wasn't surprised in the slightest. A man like him who only truly trusted himself and his counterpart felt so safe against him. Like the world outside didn't exists when he was with his demon.

"Whats for breakfast hmm? It smells lovely as I said. I could smell it all the way from the bedroom." It almost smelled like their mothers cooking. Of course. Alastor would watch the shade get their cups ready. When the creature came to welcome him in greeting, the young brunette would giggle and reach out, brushing his fingers over the solid mass.

"Yes it would seem so. I think he really likes me." The younger Alastor would muse with a sheepish giggle, smiling at the beast that had become like a second pair of hands for the stag. At the question his way he nodded. "I have begun the process yes. Though I may need a little time before my shadowmancy allows me to summon one of my own."

"You have come as I just begun. I'm but a few weeks in learning the right rituals. Since you have your own, I can only assume we our successful in our attempts. Soon, I shall have a forever companion as my own." He murmured, giving his demons Shade a soft smile and curt nod in respect.

Turning, he'd use his magic to summon plates out from the cabinets themselves. A green energy would coat over the white plates within and then with a shimmer, they would float out on their own, joining the cups on the table.

The demon chuckled as he watched his counterpart enter the kitchen fully. He reached over and turned off the stove, moving the food from the heat and starting to plate it up. "It's wonderful that you slept so well. I am an amazing cook, so it's no wonder you could smell it from the bedroom." He stated.

Turning to hand a plate to the human. "It's a simple mix of everything I could find around. Tossed together in an omelette style type of breakfast! Something I learned from another soul in Hell."

He then walked over toward the table as he sat the plate down and made his way over to the coffee pot. Picking up the mug and pouring in the hot liquid.

"Care for a cup, darling?" He asked as he was already pouring a cup anyway. Bringing them both over and sitting them on the table as well. He sat, but it was rather uncomfortable, so with a small breath in, his form began to shrink.

His demon features staying, but his size managed to come down into a more appropriate size.

"There we go." He said simply.

His picked up the fork and a knife as he began to eat. Being mindful of the silverware and his teeth. His ears twitched, and his tail fluffed up as he hummed. A small nod of his head before swallowing.

"Why of course we do! It's rather easy once you get the hang of it. My shadow however, isn't really a shadow. It's a demon that came to me when I was just a boy! Got attached to me and then we fused together. Been with me ever since."

He explained as he went to take in another bite of his food. His eyes closing as he savored the flavors of the human realm once more. Still so different from the tastes he had gotten used to in hell over all these years.

Stretching his hooved toes out to loosen whatever tension remained within his limbs, Alastor felt relatively boneless otherwise, glancing drunkenly over to the angel who seemed to still be contending with what had occurred. In the radio demon's estimation, however, he'd given Lucifer ample warning - and now whatever lingering shakiness the other had was his responsibility to figure out. Were they closer, Alastor might have felt compelled to offer some sort of aftercare in a way that mattered - but... That was a strange thing to propose, he thought, given that Lucifer did not seem to feel anything about the encounter beyond a surface level.

There was some surprise at the quick changing of the sheets, with Alastor's gaze shifting downwards to blink at them. Ah. Yes. That was nice. And he felt more comfortable then, setting his head down and momentarily shutting his eyes to bask in the rare fullness of his belly. His ears were not entirely closed off to the other's words, but it was only after Lucifer's reminiscing that he opened an eye to peer at him.

"Mm, seems like a bit of the point that killing ourselves doesn't do a whole lot of good in the grand scheme," Alastor chimed in, as though to allude to the fact that he may or may not have made an attempt at the same. He would not clarify, however. Not here and now, even with the buzz of angelic blood coursing through him. "But-" He stretched again before continuing. "-at the very least, there are avenues for flirting with the sensation, if this little encounter is any indication."

His attention, however, was stolen entirely by the appearance of those wings, his eyes trailing over the details of the feathers as they presented themselves one at a time.

They were quite large.

Alastor found himself staring, uncertain as to why the contrast of their coloration seemed to catch his gaze so readily. He had never been especially fond of birds any more than any other animal he might have come across in the marshes of the bayou, but - This felt a bit different. Ethereal and otherworldly. And much more intriguing than the silvery or golden wings of the exorcists he'd come across previously.

"Wh- You tasted me?"

Clueing into that statement a bit late, the radio demon gave a few sluggish blinks. Had he been so riled that he'd not been aware? Or remembered?

Possibly.

Lucifer chuckled a bit. The sound seeming to get lost in his folded arms. His head turned as he pressed his cheek against those same folded arms. His legs coming up to sway back and forth behind him. Crossed at the ankles as he did so.

The way Alastor spoke about it, seemed like the demon himself was familiar in a sense at least. But Lucifer wouldn't pry on that. Just like Alastor wasn't trying to pry anything more out of him then he was already willing to share.

With a hum, eyes closing. Lucifer had to agree with that much.

"Yeah, this has been eye-opening for me as well. A first time someone has done that to me. Wasn't too bad. I might just let you do it again sometime."

Or hunt me down for the thrill of the chase...

But he didn't say it out loud. He was comfortable just laying there. Then, when Alastor sounded a little stunned about Lucifer tasting him, he couldn't help but laugh. It was light, airy laugh. His eyes opening slowly as he looked over toward the other man.

His lips curling up and his eyes gleaming in slight mischief. His head tipped a little more into his arm. His hair falling slightly into his face.

"Yeah, when I was healing you. All the blood on my fingers? I did have a little taste. Not bad. A little sour, but that could have been from the angelic magic that was infecting you. So I wonder how it tastes pure from the demon himself."

He chuckled, mostly teasing before his eyes slowly drifted closed once more. The smile still lingering on his face.

"You never struck me as a party pooper," Alastor jeered in decent humor. But from what he knew about Lucifer's more hermit-like tendencies, that probably should not have wholly surprised him. "The parties from my era had, at least, some manner of propriety. Drink and drugs, of course. But music was more the centerpiece. Singing, dancing - not just the same sort of deep, bassy nonsense that they play now with little sense of rhythm save for the ability to smother yourself up against another person."

Maybe he too sounded a bit like an old fuddy duddy, but he had been known as quite the party animal in his older, living years. To re-capture that vibe and environment was simply difficult in the modern day.

Lucifer's secondary questions made his ears rise slightly in response to the clarification -

But the radio demon was guarded, well-versed in avoiding any softer bits of himself for someone else - even Lucifer - to possibly exploit. So the answer he provided was likely not as deep as the devil was trying to ferret out of him - but it was not a non-answer either.

"One might think you are trying to flirt with me," he began with a small snuff. But Alastor did not leave it there, puffing slightly on his cigarette before going into more detail.

"It was the Great Depression. Poverty was the theme of the decade, in truth. My family was not wealthy - so much of my time was spent outdoors." And he gestured vaguely to the bayou where they had settled half inside and half out of, the faint glow of fireflies continuing to hover overhead. "I did not find myself closer to New Orleans until my teenage years. Suburban, at first. Then once I was able to find work, I moved into the city proper. A tiny apartment above a shop in the French Quarter. It was about then that I started dabbling in broadcasting properly. It wasn't much a thing during the war - unless you were military. And I was not."

Gaze shifting over to Lucifer, he raised a brow.

"Is this just going to be me talking about myself, or should I be asking you your life story? Though I suppose yours may be much longer."

Lucifer found himself on the edge of his seat as he was listening to Alastor talk. His eyes slow blinking, a bit sluggish from the alcohol but also still taking in everything that the other man was saying. He swished the liquid in his cup around as he sipped on it now.

Trying his best to not just down the whole bottle. It was good stuff, and he normally didn't drink like this, seeing how much of a light weight he was. He was however, a little caught off guard by those last words. Blinking a little faster as he sat up straighter.

Cup coming down to rest on the arm rest of his chair. Eyes going from their half-lidded expression to wider, boba like eyes as he looked at Alastor. He seemed to sink in the chair, slouching back slightly. His gaze drifting away from Alastor.

Cup brought back up to his mouth to hide behind mostly. One of his legs hanging down from the chair to sway lightly, barely hovering above the floor as he did so.

"What would you even want to know? Not like anything about my past hasn't been told a million times over again. Be it right or wrong. So if you wish to know something, just ask me. No one has ever thought to do that." He said. His grip on the cup tightening.

He wasn't wrong. Everything that happened. How he lived before, to Eden to the events of getting tossed out to even his first days ruling hell. After Lilith? After Charlie invited him here to her project? No one once asked his side of things.

It was all from heavens side. And he didn't bother to correct anything, not like he could in the first place. So he just let it go. People thinking they already knew everything there was to know about him.

His eyes flicked up to look at Alastor again.

"If you really are interested, Tonight only. I will answer and tell you whatever it is you wish. We can blame it on the alcohol come morning."
