“You mean the bit where I’m devilishly handsome? Yes, that bit I’m aware of and I’ve seen it quite clearly,” He smirked amused with his own vanity. “You look like you don’t quite fit in around here. That doesn’t usually bode well. You think you blend in, but you don’t.”

It was an absolute requirement to roll her eyes at narcissism. She'd do it with the Doctor more except the expression would be lost on him now that he'd gotten over the fact that her eyes were apparently freakishly large – which, she would note, they were not. They were very normal. “Isn't what I meant.” Not exactly, but being handsome did usually mean trouble.

The look on her face twisted slightly and she was forced to look down as if she'd find she was wearing something strange. There was nothing unusual, not that she could see. Clara peeked back up at him. Her chin tilted a little higher in reserved petulance. “Who are you to say whether I'm blending in? Fashion police?”

Well, that was neither here nor there. “Nevermind. Where's here exactly?”

To say that one did not trust a personeasily was an understatement. In this world trust was a matter oflife and death. On the other hand, a person’s reputation could grantparticular favors and if you ‘knew a guy who knew a guy’ then lifewas a little easier all around. It was the only reason she intendedto meet with the girl. There was some lose connection between someoneClara knew and this veritable stranger, and because favors servedvery much like currency, here she was.

It was a public place; a quiet littleshop where she was free to get coffee and watch it cool in the theceramic mug in front of her. She seemed almost completely absorbed inwatching the steam dissipate, but the sound of someone approachingcaused her to look up and a little smile was already fixed on herlips. “Hello,” she offered. The friendly disposition oftendistracted people, but then again that was the whole point of it.“Have a seat if you’d like. …rather you did actually. Be strangeif you stood the whole time. Coffee? Tea? Hot cocoa? It’ll warm youright up.”
