I love your character designs and art style so so much! Your work is absolutely inspiring. Can I ask how you learned the fashion sense you did? You have so many beautiful layers and textures, and your color blocking is so brilliant. I feel like everything you draw suits the character so much!!

Character design has always been a passion of mine, I take heavy inspirations from my favorite media and adapt what I like about it into my art style as well, especially when it comes to how I go about my designs. For instance, my favorite shows are FMAB, ATLA, and as for games I really love BG3, Sky children of the light & Journey, Skyrim, and E33 ( I wonder if the inspirations I take from these become more obvious now that theyre pointed out lol )

I inspire a lot of my designs off of what I love from concepts and ideas, then I like to keep in mind a lot of symbolism that is heavy for the characters personality or story, as well as maintaining motifs ( continuous design details that seem to reappear in the design). For color blocking, I try to keep my color pallets limited to a general range of colors that are both similar and contrast eachother, usually making the contrasting colors a lot lighter and spared for smaller details and vice versa. Sometimes, if im following a ser colorpallet, I will intentionally saturate or desaturate the colors as well so they intentionally look easier on the eyes.

I recommend just experimenting and working on fun little sketches or concepts! It doesn't have to be perfect at first, and play with symmetry and asymmetrical patterns. I find a lot of the time balancing that helps me a lot when thinking of how I want to design a character ✨️
