Well its a New Year which means its time to set some new goals. I know most people do this and never meet their goals. But for me this is the first time I’m really doing this goal setting thing and it has taken me 31 years to do this. I only have a couple of goals in mind so hopefully this will help me accomplish my goals. 

First goal is to really push my photography and my photography business to the next level. ( delafoto.squarespace.com ) Right now its only a side hustle. I do family portraits and weddings for friends and Ive had some clients referred by friends so I haven’t got that much business until the last 3-4 months of this past year. Which has made me realize that maybe i can do more with this photography thing that I love so much. 

Second goal is to save money to travel a bunch in 2017. I know you might be thinking why 2017 why not travel a bunch now. Well I just got a new position at my job and they put you on a year probation, so what that means is that I can't take all kinds of time off when I want even thou I have a bunch of time saved up already. It is frowned upon and i could really use that pay grade bump at the end of that year probation. So I will have to settle for traveling on the west coast for weekend trips and use the any three day weekends to my advantage. 

Third goal which will probably come before the second goal is getting a house. I hope with this no traveling much with this probation, the raise at work, the business push, and the help from my girlfriend maybe we can save up enough money to make a good down payment on a house we can afford. Its a huge step for me and I finally think Im ready to have the responsibility and becoming a home owner.

Other than those 3 main goals starting up a podcast with homies is on the list but not on the top. And of course the normal stuff apply too like becoming a better man, son, brother and boyfriend. Plus riding my all my bicycles more often and maybe build up a cafe racer :)

Im at the age where most of my friends are either having babies or getting married. Im a lil jealous of my friends that are getting married and having kids, but at the same time Im not. I do love all the freedom and time I have to do the things that I want and spend the money I make on sneakers, hobbies, and travel. When marriage or kids come into the picture a great deal of responsibility come into your life like an avalanche and that scares me. On the other hand they marry the person they love or they create a person that they will love for the rest of their life and that just would be an amazing thing to feel. But now that Im in a new relationship I can’t help think what the future holds. Will I be hopping from woman to woman until I find the One or the one that is the closet to the One? Will I just be alone and selfish until I die? Or is she the One? As I have more and more conversations with the friends that have this Love and I see the joy on their faces when they talk to their wife or kids I always think that i can’t wait to have the amazing Love feeling they have. I’m happy that the culture in Reno is getting very diverse. More locally owned stores, restaurants, and breweries are popping up all around town. Also the local music and art scene is getting bigger, better and greatly accepted in the area. Which means more events are happening and entails more people out and about having fun and partying. Reno is finally turning into a city that is flowing full of culture and I’m not hating it one bit.

Music, what can I say other than I love it, maybe as much and bicycles and photography. I listen to it everyday. It helps me get my day started in the mornings like my cup coffee does. My life runs on it from the moment I wake up to my long day at work and to riding my bike and editing pictures. With music life is better.

Summer evening/nights in Reno are great. They are a bit warmer than San Francisco and a lot cooler than Vegas. Reno is just more than a casino culture/scene. Just about every weekend there is some sort of event like an art show, beer fest, or block party happening. Im happy people are just out enjoying the city (shown above) and what great things it has to offer, Reno is getting more culture and being active as a community. I’ve been waiting to see some these changes happen to Reno. I love to travel and see the culture in other cities so I know what Reno has in store for it and I‘m happy to be apart of this and document this transformation.

Mexico is always feels like my second home. I love the culture, history, people and the food. The only thing that really gives me a culture shock is that the police or the military is always heavy in the streets. But Mexico will always have a special place in my heart.

Took some portraits of my family. Like usual we had a great time. Days like this is what made me fall in love with photography.
