I really enjoy this sideblog and the little community of horse lovers that always like and repost stuff from here! It's about time I do a little "intro" post.
I am a lifelong horse lover from the USA! I created this blog simply because I love horse racing and horse photography. I mostly follow and gamble on American and Japanese racing.
I try to post at least one racehorse image a day. Think of it as your daily dose of "horsey" for your tumblr feed.
Anyway, every image I use here is public domain, and aquired online. I am strictly against reposting against a photographer's wishes. If I somehow make a mistake and go against this rule, please know it was not intentional and I will remove it immediately if that is the case. You may notice I post a lot of very dated images for this reason. Also because I love old racing <3
No photo belong to me unless stated otherwise. Credit is given in the tags of every post. I try to identify the race, year, racetrack and location, as well as the jockey on the horse.
Oh, and I will occassionally post images that do not depict horses, such as photos of jockeys or the racetrack crowds, just to immerse this blog in the atmosphere of the racetrack! It's the best place on Earth! especially because they all smell like cigarettes which is my dirty pleasure smell
