Atsumu is a famous singer. Sakusa is a bodyguard. They first meet when Kita, concerned about the number of death threats Atsumu has been receiving, hires Sakusa for him.
Naturally, it's hate at first sight.
2. ✸Burden of Blame - 91k -
Atsumu has a long history of pissing people off, but this time he’s gone too far. Someone wants him dead, and although he doesn’t know who or why, it becomes clear very quickly that both he and Osamu are in danger. After a couple of close calls, Kita - the Kumicho of Inarizaki - decides it’s not safe for the two of them to stay in Hyogo; not until he finds out who placed the hit and eliminates them.
Atsumu reluctantly finds himself in Tokyo, taken in by a yakuza group that’s nothing like Inarizaki. The Black Jackals are a different breed, more lethal than he’s used to, and Sakusa Kiyoomi is the worst of them all. Of course that’s who Atsumu gets stuck with, and he and Sakusa are in constant competition for who hates each other more.
Tokyo should be a safe haven but between Atsumu’s bloody new assignments, the lingering threat on his life, and all the days trapped with Sakusa, Atsumu isn’t sure he’ll make it out of Tokyo alive.
3. ✸Dusk till dawn - 56k -
Sakusa Kiyoomi wasn’t a doctor. Well, he was specialized in some kind of treating stuff, but that’s not how he saw himself. In his reasoning the term doctor referred only to humans, while he was certainly not involved with ones.
“Wait!” whimpered the man just when Kiyoomi was about to hang up for the second time that afternoon. “I tried everything to evict it, Sakusa-san. It… well, this is not exactly-”
“Evict it?” Kiyoomi groaned to himself. “And you wonder why you didn’t succeed? You can’t just evict a yokai.”
So no, Sakusa Kiyoomi wasn’t a doctor. Not exactly.
4. ✸Liebesträume (Dream of Love) - 77k -
If you gave Sakusa Kiyoomi a dollar for every time he’d seen Miya Atsumu perform on a screen or play in a recording, he’d have enough money to buy himself a new Steinway. One day, they meet. They play together, they clash, and, eventually, their managers dupe them into touring Europe together.

5. ✸every lover in the form of stars - 51k -
When two stars meet out in space, they either merge together to form something bigger, something new, or shatter into an infinity worth of shiny stardust.
Atsumu figures out early on that he and Sakusa were just like that, two stars colliding headfirst into each other in an ever-expanding universe. He’s still waiting to see if they’re about to become better—or burn out in supernova together.
He looks down his nose at Atsumu, as though in this brief interaction, he has taken a full accounting of Atsumu and found him utterly wanting. It’s pretentious and arrogant and infuriating. It’s exactly what Atsumu would have done.
Atsumu’s mouth curves up in a broad grin. He feels a pulse of pleasure, the sharp prick of keen-edged interest.
“Oh,” he says quietly—so quietly that Sakusa must know that it is for his ears and his ears only. “This is gonna be fun.”
Atsumu always did like them tall and leggy, with emotional baggage and a bad personality.
“If your son remains unbonded and unmarked, I will have no choice but to challenge his candidacy.”
His mother pauses. “With whom?”
Kiyoomi doesn’t see him at first. He’s so busy trying not to glare down Miya-san that he doesn’t notice the way every head in the room suddenly turns toward the open door.
“My great nephew,” Miya-san says.
Kiyoomi’s eyes only flicker up then.
And when it does—when he finally sees who’s standing there, leaning casually against the doorframe, his fake blond hair brushed to the side and that infuriating, crooked smile on his face—it hits him like a punch to the fucking gut.
Sakusa Kiyoomi, heir incumbent of the multibillion yen Itachiyama Group, has been raised and trained to take over his family’s legacy. He could never have expected that not having a soulmate would jeopardize that future. He could never have expected that the challenger for his crown would be the one person he hates more than anyone else.
8. ✸And foxes will lie - 86k -
“Sakusa Kiyoomi,” Grunts Sakusa. He still hasn’t shaken Atsumu’s hand. Someone sniggers from his back, and Atsumu doesn’t need to turn around to recognize that it’s Osamu. Well, fine. He started with the whole being an asshole thing, now he has an excuse. He relents and lets his hand drop.
Or:
Atsumu already has a lot on his plate, like killing people, beating up people, the same ol' drill. The last thing he needs is to be partnered with a germaphobe asshole who refuses to shake his hand. If he wasn't that hot even with his mask on, Atsumu would've shot him ages ago.
9. ✸sketches of a firefly - 91k - "Do we know each other?" Kiyoomi can't help but ask. All his self-preservation skills fled the moment he stepped off the train at 3 a.m.
Anger deepens on Atsumu's face, boiling over to rage. "Fuck no"
Or: Kiyoomi returns to a small beach town after 10 years and tries to understand why he can't remember anyone incuding one Miya Atsumu.
10. ✸Nowhere Man - 40k - In the span of ten years, Miya Atsumu and Sakusa Kiyoomi meet three different times, fall for each other all three times, and take way too long to meet each other in the middle.
The doctor’s curled up on a chair, knees to his chest and head tucked in the valley between. His doctor’s coat is wrapped around him, and Kiyoomi politely taps his shoulder.
“Uh, hey?”
“Hm,” the boy replies, groaning. “Wha’s up?” He stretches, blinking once, rather dumbly, at Kiyoomi – and it clicks.
“Y-You-,” Kiyoomi begins, in horror.
“Oh my god,” the doctor pales. “Ye’re the guy with the- with the neon green hammer, aren’ ya?”

12. ⨳terms and conditions may apply - 156k - Miya Atsumu, 27, doesn’t believe in corporate loyalty — only in survival, and survival means working himself to the bone for the biggest paycheck possible. Unfortunately for his sanity, that paycheck comes from Sakusa Kiyoomi, 35, CEO of a multimillion-dollar company and the pickiest boss on the planet.
When Sakusa’s parents demand to meet his significant other, he makes Atsumu an offer: pretend to be his partner for one month, keep the charade airtight, and get a bonus big enough to pay off his student loans.
It’s supposed to be strictly business.
13. ⨳Lovers in disguise - 86k - At a prestigious school, suspicion grows of an unknown network hiding behind the façade of ordinary families. To infiltrate, Sakusa Kiyoomi must pretend to be married to Miya Atsumu and act as the father of Shoyou, a child who believes in the illusion with innocent certainty. What begins as a cold strategy quickly turns into chaotic coexistence, full of clashes, laughter, and tensions that put the mission to the test.
As the days pass, through school routines and domestic scenes, the three begin to truly know one another. Sakusa confronts his past, Atsumu discovers his own path, and Shoyou’s innocence draws them together. What started as a lie to fulfill a mission slowly transforms into genuine bonds and feelings none of them expected to find.
14. ✸Catalyst - 134k - Atsumu and Kiyoomi both start off college on the wrong foot—with Atsumu stuck in the past and Kiyoomi resentful towards his future. When Fate (or the Devil, depending on your source) sticks them together for their 7:30 a.m. Intro Chem lab, the reaction between them is bound to be explosive. Will they go up in smoke, or is this just the catalyst for something more?
15. ✸Eight Shades of Yellow - 121k -
Sakusa Kiyoomi's life was far from easy.
He was a gay man who was forced into a loveless arranged marriage with a woman only to produce a heir. A few months after his daughter was born his wife died, leaving him all by himself to take care of the little girl. The girl was soon diagnosed with selective mutism and extreme social anxiety, making him struggle in trying to be a good and supportive father while commanding the biggest mafia in Japan: the Yakuza.
He had long accepted that he would die alone without experiencing all those cliches he had once read in love stories. Everything was going as he predicted until he met Miya Atsumu, who was not only furiously beautiful, but was also painfully kind and, above everything else, Haru’s teacher.
It was only a matter of time until they got together.
But in a world that everything is so uncertain, will love be enough to assure the couple the happy ending they so much deserve?
16. ✸Seek the truth in the liar's eye - 114k -
“With the first overall pick for the 2023-2024 NHL draft the Austin Black Jackals are proud to select,” Atsumu felt his heart shoot to his throat, beating violently as he waited on the edge of his seat.
“From the OHL Erie Otters,” Atsumu held his breath, it was someone from his team, one of the dear friends he’d made.
“Atsumu Miya”
Atsumu had chased his dreams relentlessly in life but he never expected that the reality of those dreams would actually come to include one Sakusa Kiyoomi, a player who was still writing his own incredible legend and had been at the forefront of Atsumu’s mind since he presented. These two always find a way to come together, even if it’s messy in more ways than one.
17. ✸Itadakimasu - 103k - Atsumu works part-time offering himself for use in the practice of nantaimori (body sushi). He is perfect for the job because not only does he have a beautiful body but he is an odourless beta, making him the perfect plate. However, things change for Atsumu when a prime alpha walks in for dinner one evening, leaving him with his life turned upside down.
Or, Atsumu blooms as an omega at the worst possible moment… He’s at work, in a public place and completely naked. (Sakuatsu but make it inspired by ‘ Love is an illusion ’)
18. ✸Creepin inta yer heart - 89k -
Sakusa Kiyoomi lives his life in certainties. He is certain that he’s the best high school ace in Japan in only his second year. He is certain that bacteria double every 20 minutes and that high schoolers have gone long enough without cleaning themselves and their things that they might as well be a booming metropolitan for the germ community. He is certain that Umeboshi is the best thing that humanity has to offer. Well, that and hand sanitizer.
The ten assumptions Kiyoomi makes about Atsumu and himself and the times he's proven wrong. Set against the backdrop of Creep -- the cover by Post Modern Jukebox.
There was something in the woods.
Sakusa Kiyoomi blinked, rubbed his eyes, and peered again through the rear window of his rental house. Perhaps it was the stress, or the sleep deprivation, or the two glasses of sake he’d had with dinner, but there, in the rich dark between the cypress trees, were two glowing amber eyes. Sakusa strained to make out details, but the creature’s light-colored form remained hazy in the shadows of the forest.
As he gazed out at the creature, he could only come to one sure conclusion.

20. ✸Fast10 your seatbelts - 85k -
In which Sakusa Kiyoomi despises illegal racing but he sees a familiar face one night— he then curses God for seeing him.
Atsumu has a new profound passion—street racing. He sees Kiyoomi in a race one night and Kiyoomi doesn't back down with his insults. They find themselves sixteen and seventeen again as they enter each other's lives once more.
(Or: Kiyoomi and Atsumu were a one time thing because Kiyoomi is scared of commitments. He sees him again, he misses him and enters his life again despite Atsumu being a street racer which he absolutely abhors. Would there be a happy ending this time? Will he be taking the risk?)
21. ✸(Don't) hold me (back) - 85k -
It was a fucking irony that Atsumu, who dreamed about being a professional athlete, turned out to be an Omega, whereas his stupid twin, who wanted to be a professional cook, turned out to be an Alpha. Somebody up there had really fucked up, in Atsumu's opinion, because if they switched, they wouldn't even be having this conversation. But no. Sport was for Alphas, the kitchen for Omegas. End of discussion.
Well, at least it shoud be, because he wasn't going to give up so easily.
Ready to fight for their dreams, the twins decide to swap places, putting at stake their lives, health and future.
22.✸安心 (Peace of Mind) - 84k -
He considers this for a second, glancing at Atsumu from the corner of his eyes. This is probably the most intimate moment they have shared so far, and Atsumu seems unarmed, swinging peacefully in the kid's playground of a foreign country, none of that usual sneering attitude he tends to armor himself with.
So Kiyoomi tries his luck. "Can I ask you something?"
Atsumu looks at Kiyoomi questioningly, eyes lighting up in expectancy.
"If you had to quit volleyball today, how would you feel?"
Sakusa Kiyoomi grows up and reflects on life, volleyball and Miya Atsumu.
23. ✸hand study - 84k - Miya Atsumu accidentally hurts Sakusa Kiyoomi’s hand in a practice match, and he is all over the latter’s house cooking him meals, unravelling the man and feeding him with his own hands for a while. He’s doing it solely out of the burden on his conscience and for the fun of it, not because of his non–existent enormous crush on Sakusa, thank you.
24. ✸frankenstein's monster - 83k - When Miya Atsumu gets off on the wrong foot with a certain Sakusa Kiyoomi on the first day of practice for MSBY Black Jackals, he vows to avoid the stuck-up spiker as much as he can, even while on the same volleyball team. And it would've been a good plan--if Atsumu didn't meet Sakusa again at group therapy that very night.
25. ✸Blooming days - 81k -
"Miya." Kiyoomi had stopped him before the other one could close his eyes.
"What if someone doesn't have it."
Kiyoomi held his breath, something strangely stinging inside his chest. "A home." Then he cleared for him. "What if someone does not have a home?"
In which Sakusa Kiyoomi lives and grows and learns, and why Miya Atsumu's always there when something happens?
26. ✸freshmen, freshmeat - 72k -
The lighter haired twin looked up at him. Full lips, sharp jaw, broad cheekbones. His eyes were half-lidded, intense. He blinked slowly at him as a crooked smile broke onto his face. The air between them felt taut. Sakusa, despite their positions, somehow felt as though he were the off-kilter one.
“Holy fuck,” the boy slurred, and the loaded undercurrent vanished, leaving him just a very drunk, very attractive student. “Yer sooo fucn-so fuckin’— soo fuckin’ pretty. Wha’ the fuck.”
With that proclamation, the boy promptly gagged, retched, and vomited all over Sakusa’s brand new shoes.
