Quiet - This Will Destroy You
You never kissed me good night.
Baratheas
Some rustling on his side gave him a reason to look away from the book he had been holding— reading. Andrew gazed up to have the white board pointed at him again with the girl smiling. Delilah. He looked at the book he’d been reading and back at her. “This? Not sure. I’d be fibbing if I understood any thing so far. All I can say is, it’s just as looney as this place.” he said, putting the book back on the pile and pulling another one. Andrew never liked fiction, why was that in the pile?
He was about to open the new book when he had forgotten to introduce himself. Andrew gave his hand to her, “Call me Andrew or Kane. Which ever you prefer.”
She laughed softly as he began talking about the book her was trying to read. It made her curious as the what the book actually was, she was always looking for something that was interesting to read. He went to grab a new book and Delilah went to grab the one that he had set back on the pile. It didn't seem like he was going to say anything else which was fine, she'd put in a slight effort, the girl was going to give herself some credit for that. But then he spoke again and Delilah quickly gave his hand a small shake before scribbling again on her whiteboard.
'Nice to meet you. Is it okay if I try and read this one then? If you're not going to.'
Daniel was sitting on the couch in the Great Hall, reading a book since no one was there to visit him. He didn’t want to surround himself with the super happy families at the moment. Looking to the girl that sat next to him he noticed she looked sad. Taking out his notepad he wrote, Are you okay? His penmanship was sloppy but he knew it was readable.
As Delilah looked over as the notepad she almost stood up and stormed off, was someone going around and talking about how she didn't talk? Why was this guy writing her notes? Was he making fun of her? She didn't need anyone talking about her even if was seemingly harmless. But she noticed that the notepad wasn't new or anything, he must be mute too. She grabbed her white board and wrote out a response, holding it out for him.
'I'm okay, just thinking.'
The past is nothing but a weight. It will build inside of you like a stone.

Andrew offered a smile back, “No worries bout it, just thought you might fancy a read is all.” and turned back to his book. He hadn’t noticed the white board she carried around and inwardly frowned. He had read somewhere that one’s voice could be lost through various happenings. Not that he had anything to do with it, her business was her business. Andrew decided to bury himself more in the fascinating world of Ink Heart.
She nodded at the guy before looking back at the book he'd handed her as he looked back at his. She didn't mind this, being silent but at least sort of sitting with someone. After a minute she felt like she should say something else, or write..at least try to have a conversation with the guy. Delilah grabbed her whiteboard again and wrote out another message before holding it out for the guy to read.
'I'm Delilah.
What're you reading?'

Kyla had spent the most of her free time walking around the halls and rooms that she was allowed to go into. She was trying to wrap her head around her new surroundings when she walked into the grand hall, the last stop on her own self tour. She noticed somebody sitting by herself. “Hey there, are you alright?”.She walked over and stood in front of her,not wanting to sit next to her just in case.
Delilah noticed a girl walk into the grand hall, she looked up as the girl stepped in front of her and nodded even if it wasn't true. Quickly she grabbed her white board to write out a note, holding it up to show the girl as she forced a small smile. Times like now were always the worst, she wasn't really upset, she didn't have a reason to be but she definitely wasn't okay.
'I'm okay, just bored. People watching sorta, not a lot of people.'
Andrew had been bored out of his mind since yesterday night. He plopped down to the other edge of the couch with a meager stack of books he filched from the library and started reading one of the thicker ones. He wasn’t a bookworm. He was just so bored he would go looney in a matter of hours if he didn’t do something, anything productive. He then noticed another person on the sofa, sitting at the other end.
"Need something to do, love?" he asked, holding another book with his free hand to her.
Delilah glanced over quickly as she felt the couch shift with someone else sitting down and then a pile of books. She began looking over the titles as the guy started reading, looking back up at him as he acknowledged her. She shook her head a little but stopped, reaching out to take the book from him, she did need something to do and she'd never heard of the book her was offering, might as well. Picking up the white board she carried around with her she scribbled a short note, holding it closer so the guy could read it, offering him a small smile.
'Thank you.'
She didn't have anything else to do, she never did. Her mom hadn't left in the best mood, they'd started arguing about what happened and Delilah continued to refuse to talk about it, not that she talked about much. But now she couldn't stop thinking about it. She sat down on one of the couches in the grand hall watching people walk past in hopes something would get her mind off Zander.

"This place is so cool!" Mike exclaimed as he and Jacob searched around the arcade. Delilah stood with her mother at the door and smiled as she watched her younger brothers.
"I'm glad you're doing okay," Her mom turned towards her and smiled as she rubbed her daughter's back.
