I've been looking into starting comics, i think its something that i need to pursue but i just dont know where to start, and im not really confident in my art or story lines... do u have any tips?

(I hope you don’t mind that I answer publicly!) 

Honestly this is the second comic I’ve made in a week after not really exploring comics that much throughout my art, so I don’t know if I am the best person to ask. Or I am, since I guess I am still around the spot you’re at! I’d just say go for what makes you happy; I drew a zelda comic because I was thinking about zelda and wanting to draw a whole bunch of different zeldas. I didn’t think the punchline was that great but it made me laugh so I made it and posted it without caring as much about the reception. Something that’s held me back in my art in general is trying to create what I think people want to see, and that’s tough to do and still make art you’re proud of! I’d say just dive in, draw stuff you like, write out story points or ideas in a list/thumbnail them out and most of all, just create stuff that you enjoy making and reading!
