But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
-Robert Frost
“freedom, I am told, is nothing but the distance between the hunter and its prey”
-On earth we’re briefly gorgeus
Sometimes you are erased before you are given the choice of stating who you are.
Heavy silence, sleep of frightening density.
No one can predict when or where such abysses will swallow people, or when or where they will spit them out.
After Dark-H. Murakami
"Is it possible, in the final analysis, for one human being to achieve perfect understanding of another? We can invest enormous time and energy in serious efforts to know another person, but in the end, how close can we come to that person's essence? We convince ourselves that we know the other person well, but do we really know anything important about anyone?"
Haruki Murakami - The wind-up bird chronicle
"Lost opportunities, lost possibilities, feelings we can never get back. That's part of what it means to be alive. But inside our heads - at least that's where I imagine it - there's a little room where we store those memories. A room like the stacks in this library. And to understand the workings of our own heart we have to keep on making new reference cards. We have to dust things off every once in awhile, let in fresh air, change the water in the flower vases. In other words, you'll live forever in your own private library."
Haruki Murakami - Kafka on the shore
Through me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.
Justice the founder of my fabric moved:
To rear me was the task of power divine,
Supremest wisdom, and primeval love.
Before me things create were none, save things
Eternal, and eternal I shall endure.
All hope abandon, ye who enter here.
- Dante, Inferno

Lost into existence
Is there anyone out there? Cause i can't live like this all by myself. I am losing my persona into habits. Into myself. My mind conjures the worst of nightmares and projects them before my eyes in the bright daylight when I am wide awake and aware. I am scared of what I am and of what everyone is like inside their heads. We are all the same: little bits of ephemeral existence. Forgetful...
What I possess, I see far distant lying,
And what I lost, grows real and undying.
-a truth-
Fitting for our current situation.
If we can forgive what has been done to us . . .
If we can forgive what we've done to others . . .
If we can leave all of our stories behind. Our being
villians or victims.
Only then can we maybe rescue the world.
But we still sit here, waiting to be saved. While we're
still victims, hoping to be discovered while we suffer.
-the way we are today-
The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
-the meanest moment of eternity-
The missing aren't missing, they're only departed,
All minds keep all thoughts - so like gold - closely guarded
-but in the end we keep on drifting away-
What I possess, I see far distant lying,
And what I lost, grows real and undying.
-a truth-
Riggedy riggedy white
Come and spend the night
We'll play some games
Some wild some tame
Cause if you will, you might.
If you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.
-this is us 2019-
Running, running
far away.
Escaping dreams
of yesterday.
No more running
from reality.
Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life
