genuinely really curious right now, as a lesbian who loves yuri:

why do so many people these days claim they love yuri and yet never engage with it, and even completely lack an interest in *or* react negatively to the idea of engaging with it?

I've even had conversations with people in which yuri was mentioned positively, but once I mentioned a few yuri manga I've read, people reacted awkwardly/negatively (not towards the specific yuri I've read, but towards the idea of actually reading yuri)

personally Amphoreus was brilliant and I really applaud the developers for putting in an unskippable 5 hour long cutscene where Anaxagoras and Lygus passionately make out. it was very bold of them to do that but it was really memorable

like some alters have names, we have a name we use for legal matters, we have a name we all answer to in conversations, but none of them feel like... a name. we all have concepts of names, but none of us have something which feels like a solid "oh that's my name!".

we're more like a weird bundle of concepts of people rather than something any name/names can be put to, at least that's how we feel...
