Summer meandered around the garden area for a second, contemplating what to do. 

“Blondes?” Her silver eyes widening to what Willow implied. Yes, she understood that implication. It flustered her. But, she decided to ignore the comment. Dwindling, until she thought it was appropriate to sit down in the ornate lounge chair across from Willow.

“It’s not like that. I’m not entirely sure if I’m allowed to discuss why, although I can assure you it’s for security reasons! Regarding the Atlas Military and James’ work. Nothing more.” She cleared her throat.

“Are you alright? You’re slurring quite a lot. You may need some water.”

Summer lost her virginity at Beacon, so pretty late. I want to say maybe in her sophomore or junior year. So 20/21 when she finally got the courage to go through with it. She was very nervous to have sex. She likes sex, she was just afraid.

From all the drunken ramblings about Qrow’s team from Qrow himself and what James overheard from hearsay in Ozpin’s inner circle, he was privy to most information that a lot of others really weren’t. With Ozpin gone and Haven’s Headmaster turned traitor and then subsequently dead, the inner circle was losing more and more of its influence. It was pretty much just James and his two council seats in Atlas.

That being said, that was enough influence for the time being. Enough to protect Summer and enough to help safeguard her children.

“Also, I wouldn’t worry too much about your daughters. Qrow is watching over them, and while he is reckless at times, he certainly gets results. For now, just focus on relaxing. Are you certain there’s nothing I can do to make you more comfortable?”

“...That’s heartwarming, thank you James.”

She assumed he was just being kind at this point, referencing perhaps how her little Ruby looked like her. 

“Qrow is?” Her eyes lifted, a look of fear flashed over her face. What he said made her anything but comfortable. Summer felt the anxiety bubble in her stomach once more. If Beacon fell, the girls were out in traveling as huntresses and Qrow was with  them... it was safe to assume they’d gotten swept up in Ozpin’s age old war.

Her hands shook as she placed the teacup back down, Summer’s eyes averting his. She did not meet his gaze often. Summer froze up, tears welling in her eyes. She wanted anything but that, for Yang and Ruby. Quickly, she wiped her eyes and shook her head.. “I’m sorry, James- so sorry. Please, could you get me a tissue or something...? This is just a lot for me right now.”
