FALL OUT BOY DID IT AGAIN. THEY KILLED PANIC! AT THE DISCO
“Crazy Dion” Diamond at one of his sit-ins as a teenager in Arlington, VA. June 10, 1960
via reddit
All of those people around him are demons
hey guys! here’s some fun things i learned from this article about Dion Diamond:
he did these sit-ins by himself. like idk about you, but i always thought of sit-ins as organized by groups, what kind of bravery does it take, man
he didn’t tell anyone about it, like he was no glory-seeker about this. his parents didn’t even know until reporters started calling them up like “hey, did you know your son is in jail?
when someone called the cops he’d skedaddle out the back door although he was sent to prison multiple times
the last time he got arrested was in Baton Rouge, and the cops were so sick of him that they told inmates they’d put in a good word for anyone who gave Diamond a hard time. (the inmates didn’t take the bait.)
he’s still alive!
hark, a hero of our times!

to be honest i think queer people should care less about other peoples identities and care more about making our community a home again
what another person identifies with and the details of their complex relationship to their identity are literally none of ur business. u will never know the full extent of someones identity. u will never know the full complexity of a persons identity that is not ur own. so much hate and fighting happens in our community bc people often care more about being the most correct about identities instead of showing compassion to members of our queer family. no matter what, all of us are oppressed by the same oppressors for being queer. people are so quick to be cruel about identities they dont understand. mind ur own identity and let others explore theirs as they see fit (obviously so long as it isnt directly harming people)

if you can, not only sign but also donate to his GoFundMe, run by his mother and cousin. Lakeith has been denied visitation from any family members for the two years he’s been at the correctional facility. he has a daughter who was born after he was arrested that he has been never allowed to see. lets get him out of there.

How many incarcerated people actually need to be rehabilitated, really? How many people just need a decent income, or better quality of life overall, or steady childcare, or to not be punished for made-up crimes?
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF HECK, DONT BUY A HEADDRESS!!! THEY ARE EARNED!!! IT IS A PART OF NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE. PLEASE LET THEM STAY THAT WAY!!!
Thank you Katie for reblogging this.
You earned a head dress through normally fighting in a war or you’re being honoured in a way. It’s not a fashion item, they take quite the supplies to make as well. The feathers represent things like the honour and respect.
We normally use eagle feathers. Speaking of supplies indigenous people use true leather, beading, fur, etc. In whatever craft they make. I have made my own moccasins and my own dream catchers (gifting them to very close people to me) and it takes work.
You wouldn’t wear fake medals of honour that a Canadian soldier (or any soldier) would wear why the fuck are you wearing a head dress?
That’s my native ass rant today.
Shoutout to all those people that have jobs like cleaning the bathrooms in rest areas or gas stations, to the people that take out the trash and wash dishes in restaurants, school janitors, house maids. You’re doing jobs that don’t get much recognition but are some of the toughest. stay awesome
IT’S MY FAVORITE WATER BOIS BIRTHDAY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PERCY JACKSON.
