The reason for this is….when I initially joined Tumblr, I used my plain old name and set that as my primary account. I never intend to post on that account again, but I couldn’t switch Derpberd to replace it as the primary.

Stupid, right?

So I changed the name to Derpberrd, and signed up for this NEW ONE as “Derpberd.”

This is the context for the work I did for The Rainforest Connection. I worked very closely with the company founder Topher White to create the 2-D animated bit inside. He is one of the coolest people I have ever worked with in my life.

I dreamt this. I dreamt that I was fourteen again, and my best friend Bre and I snuck out of the house so we could go to New York (state) and party for the night. Our magical tool of travel was a Shark vacuum cleaner. Bre was also mad that I sat up front, because I had control of the music. Somehow.

We were like modern day witches.

Prelude

I was an assistant animator on this film, on the main character Fluke. I was on this production for about a year or so, from the start of animation through cleanup animation.

I was an assistant on this character (Fluke), so many many shots passed through my hands. I got to animate a few myself, got to inbetween a ton of them. Production was so crazy, I didn't manage to keep track of all the original juicy line tests...but here's a few I managed to save.
