I feel this is why we all need to support their next movie (httyd2). Dreamworks deserves the money. I love the amount of detail they put in every movie. They pour their heart into it, even if they're financially strapped at times.

Absolutely, anon! I couldn’t agree with you more! Dreamworks is vastly underrated, and it completely pains me. The studio does not get the credit and respect it deserves. 

I totaled all of the write downs that the company has had in the last two years (comprising of the write downs that stemmed from Rise of the Guardians, Mr. Peabody and Sherman, and Turbo)… and it comes out to be 164 million, roughly. 

Dreamworks has had a total of 164 million dollars in write downs within the last two years alone. 

PLEASE… EVEN IF YOU DON’T LIKE HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, OR HAVEN’T SEEN THE FIRST ONE, PLEASE, PLEASE, GO SEE HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2. 

DREAMWORKS NEEDS ALL OF THE MONEY IT CAN GET. IF THIS MOVIE DOESN’T BECOME THE BOX OFFICE SUCCESS THAT THE STUDIO HOPES FOR, IT WILL FURTHER PUSH THE COMPANY TOWARD BANKRUPTCY.
