is it just me or is this week going by too fast and too slow all at once? it's almost bedtime for me, but first... allow me to re-introduce ourselves!  we're descentintohellhq, an original and ( semi ) appless roleplay that features supernatural elements. our plot takes place in new york city and while some of our lore is inspired by the series shadowhunters, you will find all your classic species as well. above all, we focus heavily on character development, which is used to drive our chapters. as of now, we are finding ourselves at a bit of a reset since the first months of the new year turned out busier than expected ⸻ but that only means that we have a lot of available roles and opportunities for all kinds of legends to be told. if you are looking for a new home for your muse(s), feel free to take a peek. we would be delighted to hear the stories you might have in store for us!

amir ndoro ( regé-jean page ) lost sight of their adoptive child. they are said to bear a striking resemblance to utp ( must be poc ) and they are a 100-500 year old vampire. if you have seen them in the shadow world, you can contact @wtchlghts.

centuries after turning into a vampire, amir found himself in a situation that he never imagined. a close friend, widowed at a young age, fell ill soon after childbirth. the doctors tried everything in their power and amir eventually presented the option of immortality. despite the deep and true love for her child, their mother could not envision life as a vampire and thus, she begged him to do two things. let her go and raise her child like his own. he took them far away from grief and sorrow, but always ensured that her memory lived on through stories and paintings or photographs. while their connection started out as a favor, it did not take long for him to grow into the unexpected role of being a father and despite the fact that there is no biological relation, they still see each other that way. at some point in their life, they became a vampire. it could have been their request, to be a part of the world that their father lives in, or a life or death situation. they could have stayed together the entire time or they could have parted ways from time to time. most details are up for discussion and you are welcome to message me prior to your application, if you would prefer to brainstorm beforehand!

rhys alarcón ( sean teale ) lost sight of their ward. they are said to bear a striking resemblance to anna sawai ( cemre baysel, fukushi sota, antonia gentry, grace van patten, avan jogia, tommy martinez, abigail cowen, zendaya + utp ) and they are a 100+ year old faerie, darklighter or utp. if you have seen them in the shadow world, you can contact @inkheartd.

rhys became their guardian when they were a child or teen. the reason is utd : they could have been a distant relative to the alarcón family, the surviving heir of another noble line, simply placed under rhys' protection for political reasons, or even taken in from outside of court due to a personal connection. whatever the circumstances, the arrangement began as a responsibility. they were raised mostly at the seelie court, where rhys ensured they were educated, protected, and loved. his travels often took him into the modern world too, and he brought them with him, raising them in both spaces. as they grew older, he allowed them increasing freedom, and would support them living in the modern world ( where he does now ) or in the faerie realm once they were old enough to decide for themselves. their bond now resembles that of a parent and child more than a guardian and ward. they are family, not strictly by blood, and their connection remains strong regardless of any distance. during asmodeous' attack in the fall of 2025, rhys became a darklighter by being forced to drink from the infernal cup. if you'd like your character to be a darklighter as well, it's open whether his ward was present during the event, and whether they were changed by it as well, or even sometime later / more recently.
