Hi! I’m new to the desirdae community, but I’ve seen a lot of people frustrated about how there’s a lot of talk about nonharmful transition without much that actually involves transition. So, here I am! I’ll basically reblog stuff I see with any tips I can think of. Do note that I’m not perfect, so I may occasionally get things wrong! If I say anything bad or offensive, please, let me know. I’m also happy to coin terms and make flags, just send in an ask! I also ask that you let me know whether or not it’d be alright for me to instead provide an existing term or flag.

yeah idk much about running a blog but,, hi!
thanks for the request! this post already did desirfictional, and this one did desircharacter! sorry this took so long, i've pretty been busy. if you want me to make alternate flags, i'm happy to, just let me know!
can you do desire of being a serial killer or desire of being a arsonist?? if that's too problematic lmk
this post already coined desirserialkiller!
but, here ya go! desirarsonist and desirpyromania (in that order) <3
these terms are anti-transition! however, we encorage using videogames to simulate these experiences, and learning pyrotechnics! you can also burn things in a fireplace. read or write murder mysteries, do roleplay, daydream!
that isn't too problematic, don't worry! we appreciate the request <3
Attend (ally-inclusive) events, such as pride events, protests, or awareness campaigns!
Eat more food relating to the culture, and learn to cook it!
Make more friends of that ethnicity!
Learn an ethnic language, if applicable!
Make OCs of the ethnicity (but be respectful)!
Maybe’s:
(These can be good, but be careful, and ensure you aren’t contributing to appropriation)
Learn how to style hair for the ethnicity!
Learn how to dress in a manner inspired by that ethnicity!
Learn how to speak in a manner inspired by that ethnicity!
Notes: For the most part, things like this will be fine! Learning an accent, dressing certain ways, etc are usually fine- just ensure that you’re culturally conscious! Understand the significance of such things, and ensure you’re not making a mockery of the culture. Keep an open mind if anyone tells you to do things differently.
Don’t’s:
Try to pass as a member of the ethnicity
Speak over members of the ethnicity
Try to change your skin color
As always, if anything I said here is incorrect, bigoted, or harmful, please tell me! That's never my intention.
