honestly i'm gonna do all these rn with Adam Smasher (a rather recent addition to my f/o roster) but quite frankly every one of my f/os except Stranger could be done with this so if you wanna hear the answer to any of these with another f/o, just lmk!
I find his pure lack of humanity to be so fascinating. It seems he barely had any to begin with, and yet I still like him. Especially after becoming mostly machine, he lost all of it. But there's always that little question of what could still remain in there. Is there any form of caring, love, or compassion, even if twisted? That's what I like to explore in my selfship stuff with him.
Probably gifts of human parts, usually bones or such.
Irl? Definitely when I was playing the game and he walked through the door during part of the braindance tutorial, said "You look like a cut of fuckable meat" and just walked off. Honestly was a very "Mark me down as scared AND attracted!" moment. In the lore, though, it was probably my s/i seeing how capable in combat he was - finally, they weren't really alone in their absolute brute power. That would make most afraid, but it made them feel a bit better about their shitty situation.
I headcanon he's the kinda guy to spend time with you if he cares, because he's got like no free time so if he does hang out with you, he's either hired to do it or genuinely likes you (very rare for this man).
Wayyyyy back when he had a special type of body which made him look like a blonde shredded Elvis Presley. Funnily enough, he also had an accent that made him sound like Elvis. Bro was literally him back then. Obviously not now, but it's hilarious to think about.
Well, for one, he works under a massive corporation which does some pretty bad stuff and he just doesn't give a shit. He also enjoys hurting people. Like, a lot. I don't think he views himself as a hero, he just wants to do whatever he wants.
Definitely I'm a "I can fix him" kinda person. I doubt I really could - he'd definitely kill me - but selfshipping is for living the dream, y'know?
Imo probably the killing of innocent civilians, children included. Personally, I don't like that a whole lot, so it's toned down a bit in my lore. Sure, he still loves to kill people, but he's not gonna go out of his way to kill someone who isn't involved. He just loves collateral damage still, though.
MonsterxMonster, Battle Couple, Friends to Lovers, Opposites (kinda? both my s/i and Smasher are stone cold killers but their personalities and abilities are not similar).
At first, an associate or ally, then an active player in the part of it.
He's kinda neutral about it. He knows that no one would dare tell him anything about it if he did do PDA, but he just doesn't have the time to.
He was worried that my s/i would up and betray him or have a psychotic breakdown at first. That was what life was like in his experience. However, he was genuinely very surprised at their loyalty to Arasaka, considering their mental state and need for flesh. Still, he sometimes feels he can't fully trust them due to his life experiences.
I mean, the two don't have time for dates very often, but sometimes the two will be able to go and chill on the top of a skyscraper (usually s/i with a meal in hand) as they wait for their next job).
He really just hopes that s/i won't go apeshit one day. Fair enough, but s/i also worries the exact same thing about him. For them, working under Arasaka will be their future for the time being, and that's what they have planned.
It took some time for Smasher, but he realized he cared (much to his dismay) when s/i got hurt and needed hospital time. After working together so much, he realized they fit together pretty well, even for someone who couldn't get a single implant.
Other than the obvious "fuckable meat" thing he says, he often makes some strange compliments (which make sense in context but that doesn't make them any stranger). Like for example, "I like your bones." Or "Your teeth are vicious today." S/i loves these, they feel seen.
He definitely encourages bad behaviors. But, he's not gonna go out of his way to harass s/i if they do good things.
Haha, nope. He's not good in a domestic setting at all, nor is he the best at taking careof anything that doesn't involve violence.
Usually through sheer violence and flashy machinery/weaponry. And for s/i, it usually works!
He'd probably just walk in, be quiet, and simply be in a room with him until he felt good enough to talk about whatever they were upset about. He's no good at comforting words, he's found out, so he just uses his presence to calm them down.
He was fascinated, but also a bit disgusted. Some sort of human from another universe with a half-broken parasite inside their body that allows them to convert any flesh eaten into body mass, capable of causing wanton destitution in a bestial form? Maybe being a powerful machine would be challenged in the future. He actively sought them out and would often ask questions or simply observe them.
Since s/i is essentially the one person in the world he genuinely cares about, that's a pretty big yep. He already barely has a moral compass, so all manner of crimes (or maybe not even crimes! he'd want to try and help with other situations too though his obvious answers would be to turn to murder or something like that) he would commit for them.
Oh, absolutely. He was disgusted by it at first, feeling that it was so human and he's far beyond human with no need for that anymore.
Honestly, I just think he's a fascinating character with a cool-ass design. I only recently started to selfship with him, so I need to work on their relationship a bit more, but it's not the stereotypical romance you'd see, so that'll be fun to work with.
