i genuinely want to know what are the conditions for impeachment of a president for america because apparently your president can fund & commit genocides, kidnap world leaders, be a felon, a sexual assaulter, openly threaten journalist, commit electoral fraud, fund mass deportations, killings & harrasment of civilians, wage wars on whim, & now is tweeting that "a whole civilization will die tonight" without any repercussions. like where you do draw the line genuinely and why do we southeast asians & swana countries have to suffer because of it???

The conditions are, "Our government and judiciary has to actually be willing to impeach him." So far we have not cleared that bar, largely because Trump has made sure there is nobody in the government or judiciary with the power and desire to oppose him.

for people who don’t know: roughly a third of Americans support Trump no matter how egregious his actions are. the lowest his approval rating has EVER been is 34%, and that was right after the attempted coup.

the very few people in his party who actually stood up to him consistently (i.e. not vacillating like Sen. Collins) were expelled from the party or resigned/retired to avoid expulsion. and this was after he sent a lynch mob to kill them.

part of Project 2025 was about replacing as many people in government as possible with Trump loyalists.

the republicans currently in charge (and they are in charge-they hold all three branches of government by wide margins) are either true believers or too afraid of the consequences of speaking up. the true believers actively WANT an authoritarian regime and think everything Trump does is a good thing. keeping him in power isn’t a bug, it’s a feature.
