Artfight 2025! Love how every year I go into artfight swinging blindly and come out with a consistent and efficient art style somehow

This year I focused mainly on ponies, including drawing my own set of evil mane 6 ponies with other peoples horses!

Using mostly Artfight usernames/@‘s for ease

But here’s a little water starter I’ve drew a while back for my personal Fakemon Region. I really want to get back into writing/concepting for it cause I have so many ideas!

I’ll probably save more context for this guy once the others are done, but some concept sketches for it and its evos will be below the read more!

Damn, ya’ll really like this thing. Didn’t know there were so many egg freakers out there…

This was more warmup/experiment that became something more, but I redrew critter in the pokemon art style.

My first try might be my most popular art post on this account, and while I don’t think it was bad (honestly due to how much more I pushed the shapes and how different the designs look as a result, some may prefer the old one) I could still see places I could try and improve. I also think critters design and palette have changed so much over the past couple months(?), I really wanted to use the newer and more saturated color scheme!

All that said, I really like how this turned out. I think my lines are cleaner and more confident, and the forms are more believable, though I should try and use thinner lines for the pokemon style. I just love absentmindedly doing my own fuckass thing during doing style studies.

Edit: Should probably state somewhere that is is @fourleafislands character/sona lmaoo. Critter is not universal knowledge

This is unfinished and thus has a lot of technical errors in some places, but I was also experimenting with a pokedex format for my fakemon region a while back! Using my fire starter and a really tentative shiny as my test. I realized I couldn’t finish it though because the evo’s werent done and lost steam lmao. But this should be about what I used when i get back into the swing of fakemon designing.

I’ve been super busy with school starting and my adderall recipe got changed on me so I couldn’t finish a design in time for @fourleafisland (i think their acc is shadowbanned for hellsite reasons rn) design contest!!!😭 I tried concepting where I could, so I’m posting the early concept ideas for my entries to cope. Big pharma when I fucking catch you…

I have to do more school now, but I might reblog later with more info/even just finish the designs anyway cause I thought they were fun still. Love can win without competition🐬

I’m on break from school now! The workload made finishing art a STRUGGLE, but I got back into sketchbooking so here’s some pages from that ig!

A lot of MLP oc’s, some Fakemon planning and a fee hastily drawn furries. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it and have been getting a grasp on my art style again, as well as planning for some pet projects.
