"So.. what do you think?"

Roxas teases @deviumgale, biting into into his own ice cream bar. Roxas was sitting at the edge of the tower, watching his friend take the scenery in. The two were atop the clock tower, a place extremely precious to Roxas. Ventus had been wanting to see what the buzz surrounding this was and, well, here they were!

"Obviously." Ven quipped as quick as any well-trained reflex, regardless of the lack of substance. With Roxas, he didn't need to think about what backtalk anyway, their friendship was funny like that. They traded words neither of them meant while aiming to convey the opposite– it was a way of talking he didn't know existed before Roxas. It was as if they had their own little code.

Seeing him sad wasn't unusual, not when he talked about his friends, which brought Ventus two options on how to proceed: to comfort Roxas or distract him. He wasn't the best at comforting, that was Aqua, and Terra was a lot better at sidetracking the conversation than you'd think. So!

"Well... From what you told me," Ven began, coming to join Roxas sitting on just about the edge of the clock tower. "Axel's probably working on setting something or someone on fire. Maybe even several somebodies."

"And Xion's... Maybe despairing that Mr.McDuck hasn't gotten the sea-salt flavor over every other world yet."

" 'sides," Ven gave him a little push, just enough to sway him a bit. "So long as you remember them, you'll always get back to each other." And while he was off looking into the distance, Ven plucked the 'Winner' print right out of his hands. "One way or another!" He waved the stick with a cheeky grin.

The tower itself was a comfy enough place; the stone, which had been under the sun all day, made it warm, and the view of everything below quelled the always-buzzing itch under his skin. So, comfy.

What made Ven think a little longer was Roxas.

With his feet on the wind and sitting atop the stone rail, Roxas looked more at ease than anywhere else Ven had ever seen; the few lines that he kept always sharp on his face now mellowed into a softer countenance. It was the look of someone at home.

(He'd seen Terra like that, once, when Ven still shied away from imposing at the breakfast table with everyone else. When he didn't know what to do with all the comfort everyone gave him. Terra leaned over the counter, just... Watching as Aqua and Master Eraqus talked. He looked happy, even though he was just... There.)

The memory made him smile, chest light and feeling like his heart swelled twice the size. "You might have been right this time," he pretended to be reluctant about it, if only for the banter.
