In 2011, I was able to meet & ask a question at Anthony Bourdain’s talk at The Great Googa Mooga Festival. As a food + travel blogger since 2009 (devourmi.com) this was the ULTIMATE reward. I looked up to him for many reasons. More importantly he was a what you see is what you get kinda guy. I was severely injured at the time of the festival but I was determined to meet him. I didn’t even have a ticket and somehow got a very cheap under the table VIP one🔮🔮🔮Manifestation works!!! My interview with him though very brief was one of the best moments of my life and you can read it by following the link in my bio. He was kind enough to give us this photo afterward. Anthony, you were a pioneer in the culinary world and inspired millions. Your ability to connect with different cultures through food was unparalleled. it has been a WILD journey to get to this point & oh honey, this is just my PROLOGUE. I’m sure half the people that know me or watch me must think I’ve lost my damn mind at times or maybe that’s just a projection. I’ve tried literally almost everything except actually saving a life as far as a career goes🤣since I was 5 years old all I ever wanted was to live in New York & be a performer. who knew that I would get the chance to act again after a very VERY long detour + crippling stage fright at times🤷🏻‍♀️WELL here i am & i ain’t going anywhere.
