STILL
Why is it that we can STILL love someone who has consistently repeated actions that in turn have caused us to hurt immensely? How is it possible to look at a person and see all the horrible you have experienced with them and yet STILL choose to also see the things that made you love them to begin with?
Why is it that even when we finally get to the point where we can be honest with ourselves and admit that the love that we are experiencing is not healthy for either of us, we STILL make excuses to remain invested in that love?
How is it possible to realize that it’s time to let go, time to move on and time to get out of a toxic situation and STILL remain engulfed in the very thing that you know is killing you inside?
How can you manage to break free and be heading in a direction that promises better days and a healthy state of being mentally and emotionally and STILL look over your shoulder at what you’re leaving behind?
Sometimes we “STILL” because that’s all we know. Sometimes we “STILL” because we’re afraid of what’s next. Sometimes we “STILL” because we feel obligated. Sometimes we “STILL” because love has blinded us from being able to see our reality.
We have to realize when its time to release ourselves. We have to remind ourselves that despite what we have gone through and regardless of how the previous situation played out we are STILL worthy and capable of being loved and loving again.
