In your HC, which romantic pairing would each of the Koopalings and Jr. have?
Alright, a question I can answer!
As for the pairings, I've mentioned everyone Koopalings and Junior do get into a relationship in the future. But currently some are dating and others aren't. Though everyone (except Roy) ends up with OCs so it's not like they're paired with a canon character.
Ludwig: He's actually the first to get into a relationship, with him being the oldest and all. He ends up with a Magikoopa? girl. I don't know, I haven't decided on her design or species, but the girl he ends up with is named Elizabeth and these two are that sickenly lovey dovey couple that constantly flirt with each other. To the point that his siblings make fun of him for it for how Ludwig becomes a sap.
Lemmy: Lemmy ends up with an OC of mine, Lilith the Boom Boom! (Or Pom Pom?) Lemmy's goth girlfriend. I like to think they met during one of Lemmy's theatre shows (he's a theatre kid). Lilith, despite not emoting much, does genuinely love Lemmy. And he can easily tell that when she's happy. The two maybe opposites, but these two have a very healthy relationship.
Roy: Roy does have a few relationship issues. He had broken up with his previous girlfriend, a Koopa girl Roxanne. Now he's dating Wendy's best friend, Pom Pom. Boom Boom and Pom Pom are siblings in my AU, and are mutual friends to Roy and Wendy (and the other Koopalings). So both Boom Boom and Wendy are supportive their respective siblings are dating each other. I don't have much for Roy and Pom Pom's relationship though, I got to think about it.
Iggy: Ah, Iggy. He probably will be the last one to be in a relationship. Iggy tends to be too serious and focused on his work and inventing than being in a relationship. As an asexual, he doesn't really care about that much right now. However, he does eventually fall for a Koopa girl (Lakitu maybe?) named Aurora, that have a lot in common. Both of them are into science and would meet as lab partners at the academy. Iggy doesn't know what he's feeling at first, he would be so confused at first. But once he founds out he's in love, it would scare him a little.
Wendy: Mentioned this before but if not, Wendy falls in love with a Koopa Paratroopa named James. James is currently the mail delivery boy for Bowser. A young teen that really looks up to Bowser and wants to join his army as a guard. James is very clumsy and energetic, he often flies around or crashes when not focusing on his surroundings. Really dumb. James falls for her first, but he knows he can't be with his boss' daughter, the Koopa Princess no less. But Wendy also falls for him back, she finds his kindess and energy to be very endearing.
Morton: Oh, Morton... He's so shy and not really ready for a relationship. He can't even talk to a girl without getting flustered. However, I like to think he ends up with a Hammer Bro (Sis?) girl, one that's completely different from him. She would be the tougher, aggressive one compared to his gentle shy nature. But that's all I have for him now.
Larry: If not for Iggy, he might also be one of the last ones to be in a relationship. Larry is very, unromantic. Too abrasive and focused on his sports to be interested in a relationship. Larry is still very young though, he's in that phase where "girls have cooties", in the sense that he wants to hang out with friends than be tied down to a relationship. However, I like to think he falls for a Koopa Troopa girl from one of his rival sport teams. For some added drama.
Junior: Junior is a tsundere. With his anger issues and jerkish attitude, you can imagine he would also struggle to form a relationship. But he does end up with a shy, nice Koopa Troopa girl. A girl who notices that Junior doesn't really have many friends at school. Most are afraid to approach him to due being a prince and his personality. But, this girl would be the one to soften him up a lot.
And that's pretty much it. It's been a while since I have last thought about this, but all the kids to end up being in a relationship at some point. After all, they do end up having children of their own in the future. (Sapphire being the exception).
Maybe one day I will design the rest of their love interests. I already got Lilith and James done. And I could draw my own version of Pom Pom soon. But yeah, they all find love in the future.
