How do I ask them, some of you may ask. Use an online survey or a quiz. Simplest way to do that is via Facebook. A Facebook account cost you nothing, you can create specific facebook page and use Facebook survey.
Another way is to create a ‘group’ from your Facebook account, and again you can put questions to your group or post a quiz/survey.
Another reason membership site owners/bloggers/coaches don’t know what to offer is because they don’t have a plan, either for their business or who they want to help. Writing a business plan with action steps is imperative for business growth which I will go into in another post.

Pickle-Braised Chicken Thighs with Cauliflower “Rice”
The dill pickle juice adds a wonderful briny flavor to this recipe. If you find the finished flavor is too strong for your tastes, it can be tempered by adding additional chicken broth when making the pan sauce.
Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 55-60 minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients
Ingredients: Chicken Thighs: 2 T. extra virgin olive oil, divided 3-4 cloves fresh garlic, minced 8 bone-in chicken thighs (approximately 3 lbs.) Freshly ground black pepper, to taste ½ c. dill pickle juice 1½ c. organic chicken broth, divided Salt, to taste (optional) 3 T. fresh parsley, chopped (optional) Cauliflower Rice: 1 medium head cauliflower, rinsed, tough leaves and stems removed 1 T. extra virgin olive oil. Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Method
Directions:
Chicken
In a large 12” oven–proof skillet with deep sides, heat one tablespoon extra virgin olive oil and minced garlic over medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Season the chicken thighs with freshly ground black pepper, to taste. Working in batches, place 4 chicken thighs in hot skillet, skin side down, and sear until the skin is golden brown and releases easily from the bottom of the skillet. Turn thighs and repeat on the other side.
Remove browned chicken thighs from skillet and keep warm. Add another tablespoon of olive oil to pan and repeat process with the remaining 4 chicken thighs.
Once all 8 chicken thighs are browned, return the first 4 thighs to the pan. Arrange thighs in a single layer and add the pickle juice and ½ cup chicken broth to the pan. Bring liquid to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 25-30 minutes, then turn each thigh over with tongs and continue cooking another 30 minutes or until the meat is very tender. Once tender, remove chicken thighs from skillet to a separate platter. Cover and keep warm.
Cauliflower Rice
While the chicken is cooking, prepare the cauliflower “rice” by breaking the cauliflower into florets. Pulse florets in a food processor or grate by hand with a rectangular box grater to create rice-sized pieces.
Once grated, dry cauliflower “rice” thoroughly by placing on paper towels or clean kitchen towels. Press lightly with another layer of paper towels or clean fabric to remove as much excess water as possible before cooking. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat before adding cauliflower. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low, cover and steam for approximately 5 minutes, or until cauliflower is tender. Remove from heat and set aside. To make the pan sauce, add remaining cup of chicken broth to the first skillet and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Scrape brown bits from bottom of pan with a wooden spoon and continue cooking until the sauce reduces by one half. Taste and season with additional salt and pepper, if desired.
Serve chicken thighs over a bed of cauliflower rice and drizzle with pan sauce. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.

How to Lose Your Belly Fat
One area of the body that most people, both men and women, find entirely unattractive on their own bodies is their belly fat. Having a flat stomach or a “six pack abs” is the dream of most adults. It is something that adults who are heading for a beach vacation strive to achieve in the months prior to leaving. Those of us who are not satisfied with our stomachs love the winter months where sweat shirts and sweaters can hide our spare tyre.
But losing that spare tyre is possible. The best part about it is that there is no secret formula, no magic bullet, and no special diet plan and no specific food that especially targets belly fat. And the better news is that belly fat is usually the first fat that is lost when you start to lose weight.
Different types of fat
Recent research has linked fat around the abdomen with cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer.
More specifically, it is not the fat that you can grab (subcutaneous fat) that poses the highest health risk but rather the deepest layer of fat which produces hormones and other substances that negatively affects your health. This fat (visceral fat) is located next to and in between other organs in the abdominal cavity as can be seen in the illustration above.
Want to know if you are setting the stage for type 2 diabetes in your own life? Take a tape measure and measure around your waist at the level of your bellybutton. A measurement that is greater than 35 inches in the women and 40 inches in men is considered unhealthy.
Body Mass Index, why it may not be accurate
Until most recently the body mass index, a measurement of weight in relationship to height, has been used as a key factor in determining whether or not a person is at risk for diabetes, heart disease and certain types of cancer. Researchers are now discovering that this number may be inaccurate and misleading.
The problem is that body mass index relies on total weight and does not take into account muscle mass or fat deposits. And, because muscle is denser and weighs more than fat, two individuals who weigh the same and are the same height can have the same body mass index but one will have a significantly higher percentage of body fat.
Health Risks
If most of the fat is in the abdominal area your health risks are greater than if it is in the hips, thighs or rear end. Researchers have discovered that belly fat is metabolically active and can increase the risk of colon cancer by raising certain hormones that affect cell growth.
The waist to hip ratio, how is it calculated?
Today, scientists and physicians use a waist to hip ratio which is a measurement of waist size divided by hip size as a more reliable gauge of risk factors. A ratio above 0.85 for women or 0.90 for men is higher than average and typically indicates a greater risk.
The way to get your ratio is to use a tape measure to measure the distance around your waist at your belly button and around your hips at the widest part. If your waist is 28 inches and your hips are 38 inches the equation would look like: 28/38 = .73. This falls below the 0.85 for women.
So, how do you get rid of this belly fat?
The question now becomes how do you get rid of this belly fat, whether it is the kind you see or the kind you don’t? One of the primary ways is to begin to lose overall weight because belly fat is one of the first places that most individuals lose weight.
Weight loss is an equation between calories burned and calories eaten. When we eat more calories than we burn we gain weight and when we burn more calories than we eat we lose weight.
Good Fats vs Bad Fats and it’s effects on our bodies
When you are already on a negative calorie intake (burning more than you are eating) studies show that a diet with a higher ratio of monounsaturated fats (good fats) contained in
avocados,
nuts,
seeds
and high cocoa mass chocolate,
can prevent the accumulation of body fat.
It is not likely that someone eating a high calorie diet and eating these monounsaturated fats will lose belly fat but those who are eating a low calorie diet and eating these types of foods will not gain belly fat.
Trans fats, (bad fats) such as in margarines, crackers and cookies, will also result in the addition of more belly fat deposited so they should be avoided as much as possible. Soluble fiber such as in apples and oats will lower belly fat levels that can reduce the presence of cortisol and thus reduce the amount of belly fat.
Body fat Distribution and how we lost it.
The way that fat is distributed on the body is often genetically programmed or a result of a life events, such as menopause. What is within our control is the level of overall fat. So when we keep that amount low it does not really matter where it goes because there isn’t much to begin with.
Unfortunately, spot reduction is not really possible. So while some fad diets promise that if you eat a certain type of food every day you will lose the fat in your belly, this just is not the case. What is happening is that with a reduced calorie diet you will lose fat over your abdomen faster and first than you do anywhere else.
By increasing the amount of exercise you receive and doing core muscle exercises you will not only reduce belly fat and you will now begin to see the fruits of your labor as your muscle tone improves and those six pack abs begin to emerge.

How Sugar Damages Your Brain
An article published in the journal Nature claimed that sugar is a toxic substance that should be regulated like alcohol and tobacco. This conclusion was based on many studies conducted on the effects of sugar in the body including how it impairs several brain functions.
How Sugar Affects the Brain’s Nucleus Accumbens
When a person eats sugary foods there is a specific area in the brain called the nucleus accumbens that initially releases high amounts of dopamine. When a person frequently eats sugar-containing foods their dopamine receptors will start to down-regulate, resulting in fewer receptors of dopamine in the brain.
As a result, the next time that an individual eats a sugary food the effect it has in the brain is no longer as intense as it was the first time it was eaten. Therefore, the person must eat more of these sugary foods in order to experience that same level of “pleasure”.
Studies show that the effect of these sugary foods on the brain is similar to other addictive substances such as nicotine and cocaine. This explains why sugary foods causes chemical reactions in the brain that can cause intense and hard-to-resist cravings in a person.
How Sugar Affects the Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor
Research shows that frequent consumption of large amounts of sugary foods, specifically those that contain “added sugar” (refined sugar white or brown) can lead to reduced production of BDNF.
BDNF or Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor is a chemical in the brain that plays a crucial role in the development of neurons and brain tissues that are responsible for forming new memories.
Without BDNF, an individual will have increased difficulty storing memories and learning new things. Low levels of BDNF are commonly found among people who have impaired glucose metabolism, particularly those who have been diagnosed with diabetes.
If a person continues to consume foods that contain added sugar their BDNF will also continue to decrease, which will contribute to the worsening of insulin resistance.
This means the person will more likely to suffer from type 2 diabetes and other illnesses that are linked to metabolic syndrome. Unfortunately, the destructive cycle of high sugar consumption and lowered levels of BDNF are difficult if not impossible to reverse.
High Blood Sugar Levels Linked to Brain Shrinkage
A study led by Dr. Nicolas Cherbuin of The Australian National University showed that people who have higher blood sugar levels even within the accepted normal range were found to have shrinkage in areas of the brain that are responsible for emotional and memory processing.
Over a four-year period, those with higher blood glucose levels (but still within the ‘normal’ range, not diabetic or pre-diabetic) showed a marked reduction in mass of specific areas of the brain compared to those with lower blood sugar.
Experts say that this finding strongly suggests that high blood sugar levels have adverse effects on the brain even if a person does not have diabetes.
These are just a few of the many studies which show that people are slowly but surely damaging their health through sugar consumption. It is in this light that health advocates are now pushing to put an end to high sugar consumption.
Health groups are encouraging everyone to eat more whole and unprocessed foods and reduce foods with a high sugar content.
Those concerned with their family’s health should do so now, rather than wait for governments to issue warnings or set regulatory policies on sugar consumption and production.
The Sugar Craving Cycle

Add to that my slowly expanding waistline even though I ate quite healthily, apart from the muffins, biscuits and snickers…. YUM! When we fancy ‘chocolate’ you have to remember most chocolate bars etc actually have very little cocoa in them, the one ingredient they don’t skimp on is…..SUGAR.
At this point, like I was, you may be at a point of denial as it just can’t be the sugar etc. However, according to recent research, sugar is as addictive as cocaine! So don’t feel too bad, after all, you are only human.
Can You Beat Your Sugar Addiction?
How do you get off the blood sugar roller coaster? There are the two camps; cold-turkey, just stop eating the extra goodies (chocolate, biscuits, cakes etc) or the gradual method over a given length of time, give yourself a bit of chance.
As you can imagine, with sugar being so addictive, like any addiction, the cold turkey method is easier said than done and hence, many who try this method fail!

Making your own homemade flavored seasonings is easy. However, finding the perfect balance of flavors is more of an art than a science, because individual tastes vary so widely.
The proportions shared here offer a safe starting point. The whole black peppercorns impart a BOLD flavor to this seasoning, so it’s best to start with a small amount and adjust upwards until you find the level of heat you prefer. Once you do, you can create larger batches of this seasoning and store the remaining amounts in an airtight container for several months.
Prep time: 50 minutes (includes drying time for zest which can be done in advance) Cook time: 50 minutes Serves 4
Ingredients:
Lemon-Pepper Seasoning:
4-5 large organic lemons, zested 1 Tablespoon. kosher salt 1 teaspoon. black peppercorns, crushed
Chicken Wings: 4 lbs (2kg). chicken wings, tips removed and patted dry 3 Tablespoons. extra virgin olive oil
Instructions:
Position oven rack to center position and preheat oven to warm (lowest setting).
2. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
3. To prepare the lemon-pepper seasoning, wash the lemons and pat dry. Remove zest from each lemon with a microplane. While doing so, collect as much of the flavorful yellow outer layer as possible, while avoiding the more bitter white layer below.
4. Spread the zest in a thin layer on the parchment paper and place in the oven. After 20 minutes, remove pan from oven and shake to make sure zest is drying evenly. Return to oven until thoroughly dried, approximately 25-30 minutes.
5. Remove dried lemon zest from the oven and increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C)
6. Add dried lemon zest to spice grinder or food processor along with salt and black peppercorns. Grind ingredients until desired consistency is reached. Taste and adjust ratio of salt and pepper as desired.
7. In a large bowl, combine chicken wings with olive oil and 1 – 2 tablespoons of lemon-pepper seasoning and toss until evenly coated.
8. Arrange seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Do not overcrowd. Place baking sheet on center rack of preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
9. Remove baking sheet from oven and turn each wing to ensure they cook evenly on all sides. Return to oven and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until wings are browned and crispy.
10. Remove from oven and serve immediately with sliced celery and blue cheese or ranch dressing, if desired.

There is no need for a drastic, over the top change in your life once you reach your silver or golden years. The truth is lifestyle diseases that stem from unhealthy diets account for more deaths in the US than any other cause of death, namely, heart disease, cancer, and stroke.

You need to have confidence and belief in that you have something to offer that can make a positive change in the lives of others. When you can provide a solution that other people need or are looking for, the money will follow.
4. You have to believe that having wealth is not evil
If you have been raised being told that ìmoney is the root of all evil, then this is what has been programmed into your subconscious mind. You may have been told that rich people are greedy, selfish people, when this is not true in the majority of cases. Consider Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, two billionaires who have formed The Giving Pledge. They encourage millionaires and billionaires, like themselves, to give away their wealth to philanthropic causes. If it were not for these people, there would be many charities without the funds to do their work.
In fact, the truth is actually that ìthe love of money is the root of all evil.î When you love money so much that you are willing to do anything to get it, including setting up schemes that steal and defraud others, this is the problem.
As you can see, there is a big difference between the two sayings above. When you realize this, you will open your eyes to a new world of opportunity.
