because no one understands just how much in love Eska is with Bolin. Not even herself realizes just how much she’s infatuated until someone calls her out on it, like Korra. Eska of course denies it but then its a lightbulb moment.

She’s just. Hes her first (and only) love. Her feeble turtle duck. Literally no one caught her fancy before, or after the years skip, has.

Honestly I’m not sure but Unalaq definitely fits the vibes of a cult leader.

and I don’t remember what events happen in season 2, but I know if the twins surround themselves with positive people (like bolin and wu bc I’m shamelessly promoting my ships), then yes, it’s possible. In baby steps, but it’s possible.

Yknow it’s been a hot minute since I’ve seen any lok episodes but from I remember of the scene where Eska confronts Korra with a murderous rage after the engagement. Or the stood up to the wedding fiasco.

I wholeheartedly believe those tears were 100% genuine. Eska was, and still is, completely infatuated with Bolin. She was upset, distraught, and quite frankly, didn’t really know how to handle the situation except listen to her strong feelings. It’s never happened before. She’s never fallen in love before.

yes she could have handled things better but she’s an emotionally driven girl, on the inside.

Eska just wants her silly little turtle duck as her husband. Genuinely.
