I think it's actually essential to children's moral development to be exposed to short stories moderately beyond their reading level where a bunch of fucked up shit happens and then instead of offering a moral lesson or any sort of emotional or narrative resolution it just ends.

I’m in that stage of having read most, if not all, of the fics I know I’d like on AO3. Now and then I check certain tags and I saw there was a recent A/B/O fic and decided to give it a try.

I just can’t get into it. I know it can be as complicated or simple as people make it but I personally just cannot get into it. I’ll still give it a go now and then though, to see if my tastes change.
