We’re officially less than 100 days until ACOTAR 6 releases and I wanted to share a commission to celebrate 🥳 I'm so excited to finally read more about Elain and Azriel's journey. It’s going to be a beautiful ride and I can't wait to see where SJM takes us 💙🩷

Characters belong to Sarah J. Maas.
Just in case you needed a little reminder 😁
The gray light of morning has broken over the world, mist clinging to our ankles as we headed into that camp, Azriel still cradling Elain to his chest.

lucien (with a mating bond): chilling
az (without a mating bond) (allegedly): tweaking
I don't think it is an either or situation about love trumping the mating bond/free will/choice or Elriel will be mates. I think it is more of an all of the above type situation and we will have a nature picked wrong mating bond, rejection plotline, love trumping a mating bond, free will and choice, and 'true' mates.
So obviously, the elucien bond is nature picked wrong and I think Elain will choose to be with Azriel of her own free will (love will trump the mating bond) and reject the bond with Lucien. So after already choosing Azriel and love over a mating bond that is when it will be revealed that Elain and Azriel are 'true' mates.
I think the foreshadowing to all those aspects is purposeful and a sign we will get all of them. Plus, three sisters and only two get 'true mates' and the other gets a stinky unwanted mating bond seems unbalanced to me.

Something tells me that if their kiss gets interrupted again, Elain won't let it end there.
This time, she'd be the one closing the distance, taking Azriel by surprise, and finally stealing the kiss they've both been waiting far too long for.
Enough interruptions, enough longing, Elain's getting her kiss.
A huge thank you to @aurithemoon for this absolutely breathtaking comic. I'm completely obsessed with the way you draw Elain and Azriel. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent with us.

Whoever started the rumor that Elain kept Lucien’s jacket, you’re weird as hell
