You all deserve an explanation: my brain works in a way that I need constant stimulation, and Digimon wasn’t stimulating my mind anymore, so I jumped to the next fandom 🎉🎉🎉

I can’t stipulate when my brain is going to go back for this franchise, unfortunately…. Really, I love Digimon. And I always come back for the media that I like, someway, somehow. But right now, it’s just not it yet. I felt sorry that I disappeared out of nowhere without warning anyone…. That’s why I believe you guys deserve something. So take this!

This is my Minervamon/Mervamon oc!

And the various attempts to do her design, LOL. Her evolution line is Algomon (Baby I | Baby II) > Keramon (Child) > Chrysalimon (Adult) > Orochimon (Ultimate) > Minervamon | Mervamon (Mega).

Her backstory is that she was created by the poisonous data of Bacchusmon, the Crack Team collected it to create a powerful Digimon, mixed with Diaboromon’s data…. But it vanished one day.

Because her gluttony was so high, she eat her way out of the laboratory, disappearing from her creators radar to venture around the Iliad server. At young age she was already causing a pandemonium around Central Town, I must say– it’s not everyday you met a Digimon so small that is capable of eating Anything– but long story short, she was captured, send to be judged, but she was adopted by Jupitermon, as he found her very very amusing after sensing the spirit of a great warrior inside, so he wondered “why not let her join the family?” (for much of Merukimon and Junomon displeasure). (I like to imagine that Digimons created by humans, or influenced by their culture, data, and this including Diaboromon and almost all the Metal Empire, weren’t Very Common in Iliad. Very rare actually. It’s more common in the Yggdrasil server, as it has more story with humans and contact with the internet).

Anyway, Minervamon would have her formal education with Junomon; she learned how to be a warrior with Merukimon (and as Mervamon, she would take his place as the leader of Central Town, as he decided to run around the server once more); she’s still Coronamon and Lunamon older sister, but here, Marsmon and her grew up together (he’s not adopted by the family, but he’s still part of it. They’re siblings in arms, lol); she has A HUGE admiration with Jupitermon (unfortunately, they don’t talk much), meanwhile, she has a huge beef with Neptunemon (her and Marsmon have a beef with him actually); she has a great respect for Venusmon (Venus was the one that saved her many times before with her healing powers); has a unexpected connection with Bacchusmon, even though he’s Not a good influence to her (they just don’t know why yet); Ceresmon is great with advices, and she also gave Minervamon taste of music (she also is the one that helped her to grow confidence enough to actually go around Iliad).

She doesn’t know much about Plutomon as a person, but she wants to fight him.

Anyway. Minervamon grew up under their care, but she felt unsatisfied with herself, feeling that she was falling behind. So, one day, she set a journey for herself, outside her family’s safe net, as she wanted to figure herself out, test her skills, find strong enemies. (And it was during that journey she met Beelzemon. They fought VERY violently against one another, but she won in the end.

After that, they would cross paths over and over again, until they… actually formed a partnership. They hated each other, then they grew familiar, and because they had some problems traveling around Iliad as Beelzemon didn’t know shit about it, and Minervamos was walking around on turtles speed, they started to travel together. Mixing Minervamon text book knowledge about Iliad, and Beelzemon motorcycle, they explored every place they wanted to, this would lead into a romantic relationship between them later on, but nothing good is meant to be forever, as they broke up when the journey ended.

Minervamon since the beginning had a goal with that journey, it was a quest of self-improvement, and she wanted to go back home as a new person and help with her family duties. Beelzemon just wanted to fuck around, he has this constantly need to entertain himself, to find more and more enemies to fight. Needless to say that they their paths would go separate ways after that. No one was the villain in the relationship, they just wanted different things.

This was fun to make!

This is my Beelzemon oc, and he’s for a VERY self-indulgent fanfic that i have been thinking for quite some time.

The story involves around the romance between him, Mervamon and Gallantmon, but there’s more than just cute moments, as i’m planning to make this a slow burn— and if something interesting isn’t happening while those old people are dancing around their feelings, i will explode— so yeah, there’s gonna be some plot here and there.

But, i’m not gonna talk (much) about the story today, only the design itself.

I don’t have much to share, mostly because it’s only the head, (if it was the full design this would be waaay longer, lol) But anyway, i was inspired by Zodd from Berserk and some other villains when doing his design (that’s why he has no eyebrows,), and I would be lying if i said I wasn’t inspired by @/galehowl’s Beelzemon, (i hope my design doesn’t look too similar with yours—— but if it is, and it bothers you, please tell me, i will change it immediately!)

While i was drawing him, i had in mind my Mervamon’s design (i even drew her alongside him, but it looks bad, so I’m not sharing it until it’s good enough), her face structure was inspired by a Owl, and i thought it would be nice to make him look like a Crow in contrast, (that’s why the nose), (also, fun fact: Crows and Owls are mortal enemies. From what i have learned about them, even if they’re created in captivity and never interacted, they will still attack each other.

Saying this because when they first interacted, when both are young, he wasn’t with his equipment broken like in Time Stranger… so his introduction was made with a bullet in her helmet’s wings.

Yeah, no love at first sign for Minervamon here, lol).

And talking about his past version.

Doing his younger self was very challenging, as i did the mistake to make his older version first, so i had to erase details, not add them, and oh boy was it torturous to watch— because i needed him to look young, but not too young, and not erase all of his facial features in the process too, (he’s like, 20-24 years old in that version), (i hope i did a good job, but i will need some criticism to get better next time, because i have a feeling it’s not good enough).

I have yet to see someone commenting on this (i mean, someone must already have done this, but i don’t know)— that Minervamon has similarities with Jupitermon!

At least in design.

Besides the owl thing going on, because Minerva is associated with Owls and Snakes, i like how this references Minerva’s birth in a way. If you don’t know much about mythology, which is unlikely by now i guess, at least with how much people have been talking about the Greek Gods recently, with not only Time Stranger but also Epic the Musical— Zeus/Jupiter was having the worst headache in the world, because Minerva/Athena, with her spear and shield, was trying to get out of his head.

But before that, as to why Athena was inside his head in the first place, is because Zeus ate Athena’s mother, Metis. There was a prophecy that she would give birth to a daughter wiser than her, then a son mightier than him; fearing he would have the same fate as his father Kronos, he tricked Metis to turn into a fly, ate her and resolved the problem— but, she actually survived. She was already pregnant with Athena when that happened, so she gave birth to her inside Zeus’s mind, taking care of Athena until she became older. Metis also was the one that crafted Athena’s shield, robes and spear once Athena fully grew up, and with the tools in head, Athena would give Hell to her father.

Zeus pain was so great that he asked Hephaestus/Vulcano to cut his head open with a ax! And when he did, Athena was born.

(Anyway, i have yet to see the full gameplay of Time Stranger— i know a lot of things, but not all of them, and i don’t know how exactly Minervamon acts in the game. But hey, she must still give headaches to Jupitermon! Knowing that she hangs out with the guy that he warned her about).

Also, it's kinda funny how it sort of mirrors an actual myth. Apparently a Prophet was mad that a King had sent his men to ask Ba'al whether or not he'd survive instead of Yahweh, and called Ba'al as Ba'al-e-bub, aka Lord of Flies.

So Baal becomes Beelzebub, through humiliation. Whereas here, humiliation (through defeat) makes Beelzebumon into Baalmon

I dreamed that my sister was watching Digimon Adventure, then (after waking up) i heard her listening to literally all Digimon songs 😭😭😭

(For context: I tried to watch Adventure with her, but she didn’t want to… BUT. SHE LIKES ALL THE SONGS. AT LEAST I INFLUENCED HER A LITTLE BIT, BUT STILL— HOW YOU MOTHER FUCKERS ARE ABLE TO BRING PEOPLE TO YOUR INTERESTS???

Was thinking about the Digimon that helped our cast against the Royal Knights— the ones that were commanded by Zanbamon.

Would be so cool if that Gryphonmon was actually the Floramon that Zoe helped in the episode she received Kazemon! (As Gryphonmon and Floramon are all Digimon from the Wind Guardians Pendulum, it’s the “common evolution line”), or that Gran Kuwagamon was the kid from the episode JP received Blitzmon!

The other also being Digimon that were too friends of our main cast, that decided to help with the fight. You know, just putting a little backstory for those Digimon that appeared out of Nowhere and died in their introduction— them being friends of our main cast, that they helped saving in the beginning of their adventure, dying trying to be their heroes this time, would definitely make the kids way more frustrated with the Royal Knights.

So, i am a Godzilla fan! And when i dive into any media, i make it my mission to learn everything about it— and with Godzilla, this unfortunately was an exception. There’s just so much stuff my brain can handle.

However, one of the few things i learned about the franchise was “Susume! Gojirando”, or Godzilland, this anime for small kids with this adorable art style! And for a while i wanted to make a animatic of the opening but with the Digimon from the original V.Pets! (Never expect me to actually do it).

(Jokes aside, i didn’t like how Tommy received his beast spirit in this episode, and this sentiment got stronger because we see the same Datamon later on helping the team against the Royal Knights!!

Like, if he was capable of doing it once, couldn’t he do it twice?? Weird science, yeah, maybe even anticlimatic in a way because the other kids would receive a new form in a less special way than Koji and Takuya, but it’s better than THE FUCKING CATAPULT!)

That was a ride…. I have a lot to say. The English Dub can be funny, but in ways that were not intended to be— like Cherubimon, even in his original/virtue version, he would still have the voice of a man that smoked 100 packs of cigarettes a day.

And i’m fucking glad they kept it, LOL

Wish they had changed Lucemon’s voice when he changed forms though, it was more weird than funny. Also wish the spirits voices were different from the kids, but ok (maybe in the original dub is different and give them a personality, in some way).

huuuuhhhh…. Susanoomon! Let’s talk about it! I’m so GLAD they didn’t made ONLY Takuya and Koji fight to save the world, and they actually made the other kids join the battle (but seriously, it was so damn stupid how sidelined the other kids were…. Koichi suffering from the Sixth Ranger Syndrome was funny though, Dude was only remembered when it was time to talk about his “Schrödinger cat” situation or when they killed him, 😭 ) (He was cool— actually, Duskmon was cool; it was fun when he asked himself if he deserved forgiveness or be part of the team because of what he did. But that’s was it. He won some battles, as he was clearly stronger, but then no more wins, because Takuya and Koji needed the spotlight, then the whole “am i really dead?”, a talk with his brother about their mother and finally his not so really Death…. He sure was Koji’s twin, but he didn’t really felt part of the team to me, unfortunately).

Ok, back to the others. The PEAK OF THE STUPIDITY FOR ME WAS WHEN THE KIDS HELPED TAKUYA AND KOJI WITH A CATAPULT. THEY LITERALLY THREW SNOWBALLS AGAINST THE ROYAL KNIGHTS!

I COULDN’T BELIEVE THEY PULLED THIS SHIT.

It was so easy to just made a random explanation to give more powerful version to the others, not making them useless and the battles less Repetitive. I was so tired of them fighting the Royal Knight and Losing and using the same powers again and again and again (“oh but the battle would change a little”— MY BRAIN DIDN’T CARE FOR ONE SCENE THAT WAS SOMEHOW NEW) (This show has a fucking problem of making the characters repeatedly do something until they start to think about a solution. In Sakkukamon’s battle, and Lucemon’s too, they would hit, nothing would happened, they would attack again, nothing changed! Ok, one more time!! Still the same!!!

IT WAS DROPPING MY SANITY. YEAH, I UNDERSTOOD HOW COOL AND STRONG THE VILLAIN IS, PLEASE DON’T PUT ME ON A LOOP AGAIN.)

(Hi, this is future me that Watched the rest of the episode! Duskmon is Cool, like, he’s my favorite spirit so far just because i’m that edgy LOL. The show even used the budget to make him look cooler! What you want from me??

That part of Bokomon with Seraphimon’s Digitama made me So Unbelievably Uncomfortable. Gonna change that shit in my AU. Bokomon/Sorcerimon will still take care of the egg of course, BUT IT WILL NOT BE THAT WEIRD 😭😭😭)

(Annnd Koji now has a new form! That’s the second time i see in a Digimon Show referencing how Taichi and Mat digivolved their partners to Mega with the help of their siblings crests… but boring, and out of nowhere. Digimon Adventure 2020 did it, and it sucked, and now, for some fucking reason, Seraphimon’s digitama/Hope helped Koji reach his next form because “Yeah, we need him alive.”)

Halfway through Frontier!! And i already have Soooo many ideas for my AU— (the one where the spirits talk with the kids since the beginning) — this post will be all over the place, so if anything is confusing or even repetitive, please tell me.

First thing first, i had No idea there would be a plot line where Takuya would learn how to be a Digimon, or that him and Koji would fight because he was putting himself and the others in danger— funny how i had the same idea before reaching that part, lol (the show unfortunately talks in a way that feels like Takuya was being reckless since the beginning… or didn’t know how to be a Digimon. Which honestly is not true).

Watch me talk a lot now: i wish it took time for the kids being used to their powers; in my AU, Takuya is Very, Very stubborn learning Agunimon’s fire powers… because it’s difficult, it’s boring, Agunimon is not the best teacher, and he’s already happy enough being able to throw punches and knock out his enemies! So why should he care?

That’s Takuya treating being Agunimon as a game and not fighting like a Digimon, but as a human. Or a kid playing for the first time Street Fighter and pushing every button without worrying about the complicated commands— there’s no thoughts behind his attacks, only like, the goal to win the game.

I mean, he did learn some basic stuff alone, like putting his hands on fire, so he could grab something, turn into a ball, set on fire and kick it like a soccer ball at someone’s hand. His own signature move, Lol! But that was it.

Takuya definitely would pull some shenanigans too, and he would excuse himself by saying: “99% of the time i use my powers for good anyway.”

It’s frustrating to deal with him.

But when this kid finally decides to learn, he’s sooooo far behind his team… at the beginning of the story he was literally commanding, as he was the only one that wasn’t afraid to fight and was good too, but now? He doesn’t know anything about his powers!

(Takuya is a smart kid though, and by spit he will reach his teammates level! But it will take some time… kinda funny how him and Zoe trade roles. Him and Zoe are the famous “Talent vs Training” and “All work vs All play” tropes, Zoe start her journey with a defeat, and many more misfortunes later on, but her hard work makes her the leader when Takuya was in the human world.

Yes, time will pass when Agunimon and Takuya went there.

Another thing, the others are also in this “talent vs training” in a way. Koji just happened to train Kendo before, and that’s why he will be so good as Lobomon! Their skills match!…. Most of the sometimes. Koji isn’t good because of talent alone, he’s not a natural, and even though he’s already good enough with his spirit, he’s always looking to become the stronger version of yesterday. Tommy is way too scared to fight at first, but once he overcomes this fear, he learns he has some talent with his powers! That needs to be polish, of course. JP also as a very fun arch where he needs to control his powers and not obliterate everyone around him, he’s way too powerful.

That’s also why i wanted them to respect more Zoe than Takuya as time goes on too— Zoe is not the strongest at the begging, she’s overlooked, but while she has difficulties to understand Kazimon’s powers, she’s trying her best, and it’s inspiring for them that are also having problems with their spirits.

Takuya tries to incentive everyone… but doesn’t know how to connect with them. He’s trying way too hard to be a leader. And Koji is the only one that can see through his bullshit, lol.

Koji, talking about him a little more, i don’t think he would be an asshole to someone that clearly is trying to give everything to learn like Zoe. Takuya on the other head, is another story, as he’s never trying to improve, and until he did make the decision to change, their relationship is on bad terms most of the time.

He’s also a character that is a lonely wolf because he’s satisfied of dealing alone with problems, and when he’s with people, he takes their problems to him, and knowing how stressful this end up being, he just walks away from the person… he cares, a lot, but it hurts, it’s stressful, he already has a lot to deal with, so, even when he likes someone, he can’t help but turn to the other way around in the end.

In other words, he wouldn’t stay in the team because of Zoe alone, Lol. And Takuya is a problem magnet that he wants far away from him too, so he won’t be in the team for a long time.)

Huuuuuuuuhhhhhhh, second thing! I don’t think i will ever learn why Bokomon has the damn book in the show, or what his and Neemon backstories are— so i’m gonna make something for them. Also, i’m seriously thinking in making them digivolve at some point (already have an idea of what their evolutions should be too! Dogmon and Sorcerimon… There’s a reason, i swear)

I wanted to give a reason as to why Neemon follows the team, and the solution was so simple for this AU— just make him like human culture! While Bokomon knows about the warriors, but follows the cast because there’s much to learn yet, meanwhile, Neemon is a fan of cartoons! And the kids are the first people he can freely talk about his interests!

Of course, he’s more important, as he’s the character that will explain to the Spirits what humans are, as the spirits don’t comprehend the kids at all. Or humans in general. They lived in a world that wasn’t affected by the Human Network, and they need help to understand this overwhelming environment. Neemon is also an artist, so he also helps Bokomon with adding illustrations to the book… but he doesn’t like to draw the Legendary Warriors, so the drawings are very poorly done most of the time.

(Now explaining why he would digievolve to Dogmon, is because Dogmon is a product of American Cartoons! And i thought that would be funny too. Meanwhile, Bokomon digivolved to Sorcerimon because the teams need to have a healer as the battle gets more brutal. Yes, they will help in the battles now! But as support. Dogmon will willing be the annoying bait and Sorcerimon the tired healer that wishes TAKUYA OF ALL PEOPLE WAS MORE CAREFUL. Will probably put another and stronger guardian to Seraphimon too…. Maybe Regulumon? Because reference to V-Tamers and let’s kill the only Leomon that wasn’t killed, LOL)

Third idea, this one i may change, but i wanted to make those rivalry: Kazemon vs Mercurymon; Agunimon vs Ranamon; Kumamon vs Arbormon; Beetlemon vs Grumblemom; and i don’t think i need to say Lobomon vs Duskmon, lol. (My logic is very simple! I picked the strongest element against the weakest element! I wanted to put a challenge to the kids!…. And i didn’t want to pitch woman against each other— i mean, not saying there may not be fights between Kazemon and Ranamon, she’s still evil, but Ranamon’s beef is with another).

And i have more ideas, but they’re like this:

“i want to change the way they obtained their Beast forms.”

or just funny moments between the main cast. There’s a lot of them.
