I have many feelings about the TADC finale and I am choosing to cope with dumb jokes

Fur brushes shoulder, then it's quick to move away again. The rabbit grows instantly tense and those citrine eyes dart away. Did he notice that easily..? Man, we really have lost our touch, huh?

“..N-No, I dunno what you’re talking about..” Jax mumbled.

Since the other had returned, she had been super curious to what happened to him.. Sure, the other snapped a little and caused alot of uh, problems. But it could of been worse.. And fine, maybe Jax did have a soft spot for the Ringleader..

One ear is turned slightly towards Caine's direction, showing that she was still listening..

At first she tries to appear uninterested, though any one would know the rabbit could up and leave easy if they wished it. But alas, instead, the bunny stays right where she currently sat.

"...What ya, uh...doing?" Jax asks.

Suddenly the rabbit is closer again, whiskers brush the side of the other's mouth as they twitch curiously. Citrine eyes peer down to catch a small peek at what Caine was drawing or writing in the note pad.

"Just some lazy doodles, helps me think."

He answers, tilting his note pad a little so the curious rabbit could get her 'peek'. He was in the middle of drawing yet another bee, this one a bit more realistic than the usual cartoonish version he tended to scribble.

"Heh, nothing exciting...."

Guess they could relate a little.. it was always easier writing stuff down to remember. Jax blinked, peering in to see the little doodle of bee sketched onto the paper, it makes a small smile creep up a little. Well shit, she couldn't even find the urge to poke fun at how good it looked..

A cheek now rests against his shoulder slightly, and the rabbit wondered what else the other was drawing in this note pad.

"..Ha, wow look at that, you're pretty good at drawing...suppose Gangle has competition now."

A soft bashful chuckle erupts out of the AI at that.

"Oh, shush. She has the talents of a fully fledged comic and manga artist. I just like to try and draw me an insect or two."

But he does flip back a page and show off more of his doodling.

"I've started trying to do moths too....with limited success. Heh.~"

"Hmmmmm, no idea? I know what I would've made the informant be, but since it's random I don't-"

Caine begins to tell her as they walk into the crowded starting point for the adventure. But he never gets to finish because there's an attention grabbing blast of laughter and cheers. At the center of which, is indeed some sort of wolf man.

"That's right everyone, your boy Phily is back here for one last quest! And looking for some adventurers to join me for the ride!"

Caine just stares for a few seconds before he's side glancing Astrid,

".....good guess on the wolf thing....." He mutters behind a hand in stage whisper.

Astrid couldn't believe it herself that she was right. She could, honestly, only snicker in response to Caine. 'I was joking.'

Best be quick before an NPC raises their hand or paw to take the quest. Awkwardly shuffling through the crowd, giving a quick look back to make sure Caine was following, Astird raised her hand as she managed to squeeze through a trio of gummy-crocodiles. She didn't give it much thought. No one here seemed to fit the typical RPG style.

'We'll join!'

Then she tripped over herself and landed face first on the floor.

"Oh dear-" Caine muttered, standing between the copies of his gummy-crocodile NPCS. All of them looking on in concern at Astrid.

And with that to grease the wheels of their introduction, the adventure began!

All in all....it wasn't a bad one. The randomization meant that things were as much of a surprise for Caine as it was for Astrid. Allowing the AI to actually get that 'adventure experience' he'd never really had before. Especially since he basically stuck to his "bard" role, refraining from using his greater powers to insta-solve any problems or puzzles they came across.

He did use them to help him with one musical number in particular he had to put on at one point, but it was only a little bit. So he considered it permissible-

It was probably for the best that the teen was alone as she went through the rest of her morning routine. Caine nothing but full of questions and commentary, showing an innocent amazement at something as simple as a rushed breakfast before school.

"More than ready! Let us go to school! I'm so curious to see what it's like!"

With the drawing app downloaded, Alexis held up her phone for Caine to see just about everything as they left the apartment complex. To say it was a busy city would be an understatement. It was loud. People cycling, walking or driving to work and school. Shops opening, ranging from indie coffee places to a hardware store. The pavements were a tight fit, so Alexis kept Caine close to her chest.

Then there was the obvious holiday-maker spots. Large monuments of someone clearly important to the city and the towering city hall itself. 'Never been in there,' Alexis commented to herself. When they reached the school, a teacher waited at the entrance, making sure the students stuck to the dress code whilst they either put their bikes away for jumped off the school bus.

'Enjoying it so far?'

Life. Real Life. In a way that Caine had never seen before.

A bustling city like so many others, it's inhabitants following their familiar routines. Birds chirped, cars honked, and most didn't spare a second glance to the school girl who had her phone held up and close to her.

Caine goes silent and practically still as he watches it all. Digital eyes wide and focused; hungry. Awed. Cataloguing.

".....it's beautiful." He murmurs up to her when Alexis checks in on him.

"Is the city like that all of the time....?" He can't help but ask curiously

Is vibrating in place. "It should be chestnut brown with white stockings and a healthy build, not a race horse, a plod around the farm horse and a corral because I want the others to ride too... And and..." She babbles on about horse care which the mun definitely does not understand.

He's nodding, writing everything down so he can be sure he's taking all the information accurately.

"Got it, got it. There's room besides the Carnival Grounds to put a corral-horse farm thing, so you don't even need to go to one of the worlds to care for it."

He adds, flipping through his pages as he scribbles on. Switching from words to binary code and back again in ways that only made sense to the AI.

Caine questions a final time before he'd move to manifest all of it for the ragdoll.
