i am procrastinating sleep, so here’s an abysmal tumblr post.
i present to you, my rating of various dan hair moments over the years. if i missed any dan hair eras feel free to let me know. (this is all for shits and gigs)
1. in first place we have curly mullet.
i dont think i need to explain much. it just looks good, it suits him, it’s curly, it’s very cool and slightly edgy.
2. in second place we have curly emo.
i know he’s smiling uncannily in the photo, this was the only one i could find. again, i don’t feel like i need to explain myself. it has a certain charm about it, it’s nostalgic but slightly more interesting because of the curls.
3. in third we have peak spiky emo hair.
sometimes dan howell would reach the perfect happy medium when it came to emo hair. this was it. it wasn’t too long or too short, it was nice and spiky and he generally looked quite nice.
4. in fourth we have curls with no mullet.
the curls are nice and i’m sure he felt good not having to straighten it anymore, it’s just lacking a little bit of the interestingness that the emo looks and the mullet have. it also just feels wrong to see his side profile without the mullet.
5. in fifth we have slightly shorter emo hair.
it was shorter but only slightly so. the slightly grown out side pieces just make it a bit nicer in my opinion. it’s a nice haircut.
6. in sixth we have very short emo hair.
the side pieces were not there at all, that combined with the extremely fluffy fringe was not ideal. he is already extremely tall, you can see in this picture that that fringe is also tall, it’s just adding inches to his height and i don’t think that’s necessary.
7. in seventh we have long emo.
i honestly am not sure whether this should be in seventh place or if the really short emo hair should be in seventh place. i don’t think i need to explain myself. it’s kind of a glorified karen cut.
8. in eighth we have square hair.
anyway, do you agree with my rating, why or why not? obviously this is all a massive joke. i’m going to bed.
