Out of every person out there, you seemed to be the only one who enjoyed going to school. Maybe it was because your home life was lonely, maybe it was the fact that you actually liked maths, or maybe it was because of the attractive new kid, Jungkook. You were pretty sure it was the latter.
Jungkook started going to your school a couple of months ago. You sat next to each other in maths class, but you never really shared much more than subject-related small talk. Despite you two being of complete opposite personalities, Jungkook being incredibly shy whereas you were possibly the loudest person at school, there was always something about Jungkook that fascinated you. You weren't really sure why, but you were always drawn to introverts. It fascinated you, maybe a little too much, that people had so much going on in their heads that they were hiding from everyone else. Especially Jungkook.
Jungkook would fool anyone with his cold, closed-off vibe he gave off at school, but you knew different. You always noticed little things about him, like how he twiddles his fingers when he's worried or how he always taps your shoulder when he wants to speak to you. Sure, you found all of this incredibly cute, but you wanted to get to know him on a much more personal level.

He wasn't really sure why (Y/N) played an important part in Jungkook's life, but he couldn't deny that he was glad about it. He has always admired her from afar; he loved everything about her. He loved how she defended him whenever he got bullied, how her eyes would light up whenever talked about something she loved (usually maths), and especially how her hair was fiery-red like her personality. However, he convinced himself that her affection towards him was simply platonic. He thought that she would need much more than him and that his boring social life would weigh her down. All that Jungkook wanted was to give her everything she wanted, but little did he know that he had been doing that all along.

The bell rang for lunch and you sat down in the canteen, seeing that oh so familiar face sat alone at his table. Even though he is a relatively new student, you would've thought he made some friends by now. You couldn't help but feel incredibly sorry for him.
A wave of courage came over you, and you found yourself walking over to where Jungkook was sat.
"Hi, Jungkook! Is anyone sitting here?"
Jungkook looked up at you for the briefest of seconds, before looking down and shaking his head.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to intrude, I can leave if you want."
"No, it's ok, you can sit."
Jungkook stared at you, wondering as to why you sat down with him. He expected you to say something, but you just sat there, eating your food in silence.
"Are you ok, (Y/N)? Did you want me for something?"
You frowned at Jungkook's question.
"Not for anything in particular, why?"
Jungkook didn't really know what to say, so he just shook his head.
"Actually, I do have something to ask you! My parents are out tonight and I was wondering if I could come over to yours after school? I really hate being alone. We can do that maths homework if you want? I know it's such short notice, you can say no. I know I don't normally-"
You were interrupted by Jungkook, silencing you with his finger on your lips.
"Shh, don't worry (Y/N). That would be great. I'm busy after lunch, but if you wouldn't mind waiting for me then I'll meet you at the bus station at 3."
"Of course, I don't mind! I'll see you soon!"

You were on your way to the library to study when you were caught off guard by loud music coming from the dance studio. A flame of curiosity burnt inside you as you were drawn to the music like a moth to a light.
You look through the window to see none other than Jeon fucking Jungkook. What surprised you more was how damn good he looked when he was dancing. The way he executed each move with such power and perfection made you weak at the knees. You must have been staring at him for at least 10 minutes when suddenly, Jungkook stopped dancing. Scared of getting caught, you ran and hid behind a corner. You attempted to run back in the direction you came when a strong hand grabbed your wrist.
You looked up to find Jungkook staring down at you. You didn't know what to say to him; the sight of Jungkook in a soaked white muscle tee made you speechless. You never realised how toned he was until now.
"Are you ok, (Y/N)? Did you want me for something?"
He repeated the same question from lunch, but there was something different about it. His voice was much smoother and darker, and his eyes would not leave yours.
"Um... I..," was all you could manage to say.
Jungkook would've normally retreated in situations like these, but your reactions gave him an unexpected boost to his ego.
"Am I still allowed to come to yours tonight, with me being a stalker and everything?"
Jungkook chuckled and let go of your wrist before grabbing it again once he gathered his things. Maybe he was wrong about your friendship being platonic.
Its me again. Sorry to disappoint but I think I’m going to upload my Jungkook request this week instead, because I already have a Hoseok fluff on my blog. I wanna get a masterlist going ya see. You have been sat at your table for over 2 hours. He had made you feel like a total embarrassment. The waiters knew, the people in the restaurant knew, heck even you knew, but you just didn’t want to believe you had been stood up.
This wasn’t the first time this has happened, but you tried so hard to remain optimistic. You weren’t exactly desperate for love, but you had so much love that you were willing to give to someone. And to top it off, the only friend you had was your college roommate, Namjoon. You didn’t know him too well as he was often away studying, but he’s always been nice to you. You sometimes shared long conversations, making you feel like you two really clicked, but you never acted on it to prevent things from being awkward.
All of a sudden, you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket. You took it out of your pocket and looked at the Caller ID. You were actually more excited to see Namjoon’s name than your so-called date’s.
“Hi, (Y/N), how’s it going? Is he being nice?”
“Hi, Joonie. I’m fine, and, um, he’s ok.”
You tried to put a happy voice on, but it wasn’t very convincing, especially not to Namjoon.
“(Y/N), you don’t have to pretend. I know you’re not fine. What’s wrong? Is he being an asshole?”
You sighed. No matter how hard you tried to build up a wall around yourself, he always managed to knock it down.
“I wouldn’t know. He didn’t show up.”
Namjoon sighed so loud you could hear it through your phone.
“That fucking dick! I swear to you (Y/N), this is the last time you get stood up!”
“Thanks, Joon. And is there any chance you could come and pick me up asap? I could use some company right now”
“Yeah, sure! I might be a little while, hope that’s ok!!”
“Of course! And thanks again, Joonie. I hope to see you soon!”

As if you thought the night couldn’t have got any worse. You were still waiting for Namjoon, at least an hour and a half after he phoned you. You went over to the bar and ordered a drink to numb the depression that started to cloud over you. You felt so stupid for asking Namjoon to come and pick you up. Sure, you two lived together and you had the same classes, but you began to wonder if you got the wrong idea about the friendship.
“Were you too forward?” you thought to yourself “Maybe he only said yes to avoid saying no.”
You suddenly saw a long arm reach over to pay for your drink.
“Do you come here often?”
You turned around to see a messy Namjoon smiling at you.
“Namjoon!! You actually came!!”
You threw your drink down and jumped into his arms. He laughed and squeezed you before gently putting you down.
“Of course I did, why wouldn’t I?”
“Well, you took quite a while and I thought you didn’t want to see me and…”
“Shh, (Y/N). I’m here now. I’m sorry I took so long, but you’ll see why so quickly finish your drink. I have something for you.”
You downed your cocktail as Namjoon grabbed your hand and dragged you out of the restaurant into his car.

After what it felt like hours of snaky roads, you finally reached a small campfire with two chairs. He stepped out of his car before opening your door to let you out. He reached into his boot and pulled out a massive picnic basket. You were speechless. As if he went through all of this trouble for you. This was the first time in a while you felt like someone genuinely cared about you. By this point, you couldn’t stop the tears from falling down your face. Namjoon dropped his basket and ran to you.
“(Y/N) please don’t cry, this was supposed to make you feel better! I’m sorry if I did something wrong.”
“No, Joonie, this is amazing. I can’t believe you’ve gone through all of this trouble for me. Is it ok if I sit down?”
“Of course! There are some drinks in the cooler next to the chair on the right”
You sat down and Namjoon followed soon after, emptying all of the contents of the picnic basket in front of you two (which happened to be Chinese takeaway. Namjoon looked up at you and laughed nervously.
“Sorry the food isn’t homemade, I tried to cook some noodles but they were awful”
“Trust me, Joonie, this is perfect.”
“I like it when you call me Joonie. It’s cute.”
You looked down to the floor, a wide grin spread across your face.
After you devoured your food, he handed you another drink.
“So, how did you find this place? It’s beautiful”
“I come here quite often to study, it’s really peaceful and it lets me think. It can be really boring though so I thought I’d share it with you. Anyway, I think it’s getting a bit late so do you want to head back home? I have one of my friend’s Mario games that I’ve been meaning to give back, but I’m sure he can wait one more night”
“That sounds great. This has been really amazing by the way, thank you so much”
You were so close to confessing to him, but due to your overwhelmingly low self-esteem, you still had doubts. You didn’t know if it was the right time as you were supposed to be on a date with another guy tonight.
You walked over to him and buried your face in his chest. He gently snaked his arms around your waist.

You scrolled through your phone, tears stinging your eyes. Your brain was screaming at you to stop but for some reason you ignored it.
“I don’t think she needs that cake, she looks like she’s had enough”
“Is he blind? Hobi you could do so much better!”
“As if that pig has stolen our Jhope, back off!!”

You were already extremely self-conscious and you were very hesitant when your boyfriend, the one and only Jhope from BTS, wanted to post an “official” picture on the group’s twitter. The members already knew, Suga even had suspicions before you two were together, but it took a lot of begging from Hobi to finally break the news to the public. He wanted to be able to hold your hand in public, to not have to sneak around to see you, to take you on fancy dates outside of his dorms.
You wanted all of this too, but something was stopping you. That something being a strong fear of being judged, especially by the other fans. You always felt like you were not as pretty or as skinny as other girls, and you are not originally from Korea so your accent and pronunciation was funny. To make things worse, Jhope had been coming back much later from practise, making you think he didn’t want to spend time with you anymore.
Unfortunately, that fear became a reality. For some reason, you felt mad at Jhope for posting the photo, but you also felt responsible for ruining his reputation. The worst part was that you were in the dorms waiting for Jhope and the boys to come back from practise, which would be any minute now.
You stumbled over to the kitchen to grab some water, when suddenly, you felt a pair arms snake around your waste. You turned to face him with puffy eyes and a red nose, it was clear to him that you had been crying.
He held you in a tight embrace and placed your head in the crook of his neck.
“Shh, (Y/N), don’t cry. Tell me everything”
Tears started to form in his eyes, which made you feel guilty for causing all of this.
“It’s all my fault! Leave me alone!”
You ran away from him and into the bathroom, locking yourself in.
You wanted to tell him so bad, you always told Hobi everything that bothered you But, you know that he really wanted to be public and you didn’t want to ruin his happiness.
“I know it’s about the tweet, (Y/N). Please come out. I’m sorry for posting it. I was going to delete it before you saw the comments, but seeing you look so happy in that picture I got caught up in my emotions and I couldn’t help myself. I want to be able to show everyone that you are mine because quite frankly I have no idea how that happened. I’ve always been known as “the ugly one” of the group. I’m surprised that you don’t like the other members more than me. I’m not funny like Jin, I’m not as sweet as Jimin, I’m not as smart as Namjoon, I’m…”
Before he could continue, you burst through the door and wrapped yourself tightly around Jhope. You never knew that he felt this way, and it made you feel nice to know that someone else understood how you felt.
“Hobi, you know that I love you for you. Who always makes me smile when I’ve had a really bad day? Who always comes home from practise with those chocolates I love, and always tells me I look perfect when I try to refuse due to a diet?”
He looked up into your eyes and couldn’t stop smiling.
“And, who stayed up all night to help me with my exams, even in the middle of preparing for a comeback?”
He started to tear up again listening to your kind words. He ran his hands through your hair and stops at the back of your neck, gently pulling you into a soft kiss.
“Ooh! I almost forgot!”
He ran into the hallway and grabs a parcel with green wrapping paper (of course it was green). You open it to reveal an expensive black dress that you have been wanting for ages. Jhope had his eye on it ever since you tried it on in front of him, but he couldn’t buy it for you because he lost his wallet.
“I’ve been working at the coffee shop down the road to pay the rent until my wallet is found, but I had to buy it. I saw how this dress made you feel good and I want you to be reminded of that feeling during times like this. How you felt in that dress is how I feel every time I look at you. I love you so much, (Y/N)”
“I love you too, Hobi.”

You frantically gathered all of your things together; Jimin would be at your door any minute. You were both invited to a house party, although he was way more popular than you so they probably only wanted him there. Before you could put your shoes on, you heard a knock on the door and Jimin let himself in. You walked to the doorway to put your shoes on before he stopped you.
“Seriously?”
He laughed as he looked down at your Kumamon socks. You ignored him and rushed out of the door as you were already 30 minutes late. Â
Jimin insisted on driving as he almost knocked you over running to your car. You assumed that he would be too drunk to stand after the party so you reluctantly gave him the keys. As you got closer to the house, the nerves kicked in. You were always nervous when meeting new people and Jimin knew this.
“Don’t worry, (Y/N)” he smiled “I’ll take care of you”.
His reassuring words made you feel a little better. You couldn’t deny that you had a tiny crush on Jimin, but you never acted on it to prevent ruining your friendship; he was the only friend you had. Â
You finally arrived at the house, and everyone swarmed around Jimin. They were mainly girls. Girls that you believed were way prettier than you. God, you felt so stupid for liking Jimin, you had no chance when he could have any one of these girls. His words now meant nothing as he left you for another girl, whom was now sat on his lap. You felt betrayed, maybe even a little jealous. “What happened to taking care of me?” you whispered under your breath. You grabbed a slice of pizza and walked out of the house into the back garden. You found a small swing seat and took your shoes off so you could lie down on it. Â
You didn’t realise you fell asleep until you felt a light tap on your shoulder.
“Jimin?” you mumbled.
“I’m afraid not, he went home an hour ago.”
The voice was smooth and deep and it made you shiver. You opened your eyes to see Yoongi standing in front on you. You couldn’t believe it. You only knew of him because you were both studying music, but he was always at the other side of the classroom. You always found yourself staring at him in class; he was so passionate about his music and it fascinated you. You didn’t realise how attractive he was until now.
“Sorry… I… um…” is all you could manage to say. Fuck, he was so good-looking. He pointed to the seat next to you and you quickly (maybe a little too quickly) moved your feet so he could sit down. You suddenly remembered why you were out here. Wait, did Yoongi say that Jimin left you? You were angry, so angry that you let out a sigh. Yoongi’s eyes met yours with a look of concern.
“Are you ok, (Y/N)?”.
“I’m fine, it’s just…”
You cut off your sentence as the anger you felt turned to sadness.
“Is it Jimin? Is he your boyfriend?”.
You were so shocked by his question that you forgot to reply. Why did he want to know if he was your boyfriend?
“No. Well I mean yes but…”
Why were you so illiterate around him? You looked away from him and cleared your throat.
“He’s not my boyfriend. I just don’t really like being around a lot of people and he said he would stay with me but…”
You felt a lump in your throat and you had to fight back the tears. You were not going to cry within the first 5 minutes of talking to Yoongi.
“It’s ok, (Y/N), he’s gone now, you don’t have to think about it.”.
How did he know your name? And why did it sound so fucking good when he said it?
“Thank you, Yoongi, this is the first time we’ve spoken and I think I already prefer your company to Jimin’s”.
He looked away from you and smirked. A sudden thought just dawned on you as you jumped out of the swinging chair.
“Shit. Shit!”
You ran through the house and Yoongi followed you, grabbing your shoes.
“Bastard”
Jimin must’ve kept your keys as your car was gone.
“Would you like me to give you a ride home?” Yoongi offered.
“You don’t have to, I don’t want to cause any trouble. I’ll just get a taxi back to Jimin’s so I can get my car back”
“Honestly it’s fine, I can take you to Jimin’s if you want to”.
You took his offer and he handed you your shoes.
“Nice socks, by the way.”
Oh god. You should have listened to Jimin and wore something else. You felt like a child.
“No! I didn’t mean it like that”
Realizing he embarrassed you, he pulled his phone out of his pocket, revealing a Kumamon phone case. Oh. My. God. He was perfect. He made you wonder why you ever crushed on Jimin. Whatever, you didn’t really want to think about Jimin.
You jumped into his car, still smiling from the Kumamon incident. You decided that you’d deal with the Jimin tomorrow and you have him the address to your house.
“You can put some music on if you want”.
You scroll through your phone and decide on “The Way I Am” by Eminem.
“No way!” he exclaimed “This is my favourite song!”.
You both sang along together until the last verse came on. Yoongi didn’t seem to know the lyrics but that didn’t stop you from rapping the verse at full volume. He was in hysterics, almost taking a wrong turning because he was so focused on you. You blushed when the song finished as you realized he was still staring at you, in shock.
“Was I really that bad?” You laughed nervously and looked out the window.
“No, I just never imagined you like this. Not that I imagined you or anything...”
He stopped as he arrived at your house.
“Thank you so much Yoongi, this has been really fun”
“It really has. I’ll see you around, (Y/N)!”
He waited for you to go into your house before he drove off. You put on some pyjamas and slumped onto your bed, amazed at what just happened.
You woke up late the next day with several texts from Jimin. You groaned and ignored them. You took off your makeup you still had on from last night and walked into the kitchen, before you heard a knock on the door. You opened the door to find nothing but a box on your doorstep. You opened the box with excitement to reveal a Kumamon plushie and a note:
I had a lot of fun yesterday. Do you perhaps want to come over to my dorm tomorrow? Jimin has given me your number so I’ll text you to see if you’re available.
