Gods I forgot how chronically 19 Luke is in a new hope. His parents tell him he can't do something so he goes outside and kicks rocks. He tugs on the bartender's sleeve and asks for milk. He interupts a very serious negotiation to exclaim "TEN THOUSAND???" with a wide eyed guilelessness only matched by kittens who've just today learned how to walk.

reylo was probably THE worst thing to happen to star wars. just had to drool over a genocidal 6 and help encourage the derailing of an entire trilogy. no luke skywalker shouldn’t have killed him bc it would have gone against his morals but he should have phoned a friend

the appeal of skysolo to me really is that i think it is an exceptionally singular experience to be a twangy country boy & fall head over heels with a city slicker & then you hook up once or twice but it’s not SERIOUS for him the way it is for you but he does genuinely care for you but it’s like this your EXPLORATION phase & you’re just figuring out who you want to be…and then he turns into ice & marries ur twin sister….i think this is an incredible lil side plot for luke to have going on while he faces off against his evil dad . magic space gay equivalent of “im probably nonbinary but i have i job so idrc about that rn”
