I love being Hellenic polytheist like anything is devotional act if you try hard enough
Cooking? Hestia
Go a walk? Hermes
Stop for a bit in nature? Demeter AND Artemis, double worship
Open the curtains and let some sun into your room? Apollo
Read a book/study? Athena
Work out? Ares
Do your makeup/hair? Aphrodite
Have a good time with friends? Dionysus
Spend time with family? Hera
You can worship the gods by doing everyday tasks and just looking after yourself, all they want is to see you happy.

Apollo
He is beauty, he is death, he is healing, he is plague.
A commission of Apollo I got from my bestie @myrthena ! ❤️
Had a dream where there was a museum right beside my house with a giant Apollo statue and I was making plans to go daily. Woke up and was like :(

Whenever I give my gods little random offerings, I feel like a crow bringing something shiny and interesting back to the ones who feed me
As I struggle with my identity, I oftentimes feel like I’m “being a fake” in front of my gods—like I’m not being authentic enough for them when I’m confused. But today I heard lord Apollon say this:
“What makes you think we don’t see you the way that you want us to?”
I adore cleaning my altar and reorganizing it :)
Me, fucking around with dice divination, suddenly getting a feeling: "Am I talking with someone right now?" "Yes" "Am I talking with a deity?" "Yes" "Is it someone in my worship?" "No" "Is it someone I've interacted with?" "Yes" "Can I guess who I'm talking with?" "Yes" "Am I talking to Hermes?" "Yes"
So I switched to tarot because i got another nagging feeling Hermes had something to say outside of yes/no questions. And well He did. So that's fun. Time to figure things out again.
did the meditation with hermes as planned and it was nice. i enjoy his energy so much.
The two faces of a God.
Apollo, oil on canvas (1874) Briton Rivière (British, 1840–1920) debuted this work at the Royal Academy in 1874. The scene illustrates a passage from Euripides describing the Greek god Apollo as a shepherd in the halls of Admetus, where his music draws predators and prey together in peace.
Does anyone have a specific book of Homeric hymns that they would recommend? I’m looking at getting one, but I’m not sure which translation/publisher would be best.
I don’t want to settle for the most popular option if it’s not necessarily the best in terms of translation. Perhaps you know of a version that has more than just Homer’s hymns as well? Please let me know :) ☀️💛
Working outside in the garden, in the sunlight, really does set things right, huh?
