Castiel as birdman fledgling

This is an au where Castiel is a birdman fledgling. He lives in mountain and gets curious about magical schools, so he sneaks in. His classmates beg the teacher to keep him because he’s soooo fluffy. Now he is half student half class pet.

He still struggles with basic human skills, such as tying shoes and wearing matching socks.

He has two pair of wings. The ones that locate near his head can receive sound and light waves. The ones on his back are used to fly. Castiel has hollow bones so he’s extremely light, that’s why he can fly. Contrary to bird tail nowadays, Castiel’s tail has bones inside, so it is flexible and expressive. His tail wags when he feels excited. Now all his feathers are brown, because he’s still a fledging and needs protective color to hide himself. When he grows up, he would molt to have colorful breeding feathers.

He’s currently learning to fly. But the best he can achieve for now is to glide a bit and crash-land into bushes.

Btw, the blue dots on feather tips are ocelli (simple eyes). Jumping spiders and bees have them too.
