Now that I’ve gotten your attention, I’d like to tell you about a lovely Gazan family that needs help! Maram, Ahmed, and their children Habiba (age 4), Kareem (age 2), and Muhammed (age 1) lost everything, from their house to their dignity to the entire life they used to have. They are now looking to evacuate.
Baby Muhammad and his mother Maram are suffering from malnutrition, and Maram has potentially lethal liver disease as well. She and her family have been displaced 11 times, but are currently staying in an actively dangerous area so as to avoid spreading illness to others in highly crowded areas.
In short, they need to evacuate asap. They're currently at €30,243 of their goal of €40,000 - let's get them all the way to the goal as fast as possible!

We struggle daily to survive in an environment filled with threats and dangers.
We are originally from the north of the Gaza Strip, but at the beginning of the war we were displaced several times without anything. Our house was completely destroyed and we are now homeless.
We urgently appeal for your moral and financial assistance to cover the necessary costs for escaping to a safe environment, where we can build a better future for our children and ensure our family's safety.
We are in desperate need of your support. Any donation, no matter how small, can help save our lives. Thank you for your attention and support during these harsh times.

I would like to bring attention to Aya's (@family-aya @aya0599924578) campaign. Before the genocide began, Aya and her family lived in the north of the Gaza Strip, and were among the first people who had to evacuate. Her family lost everything, their house and businesses destroyed by the occupation's army, and they are now left at the mercies of God.
Since the beginning of the genocide, they had been living in crowded barely-tents, put together from sheets of frail plastic, with nothing separating them from the ground. These tents could not protect them from the cold in the winter, and make the heat of the summer near unbearable. They were bombed in a school they were sheltering in, and both Aya's husband and son were injured.
Aya lost loved ones in this genocide. She is now watching her remaining ones, her remaining children and her elderly parents struggling to survive, and she works without pause to try and provide for them. Every day, she exhausts herself to ensure that they have food and water.
Aya is raising funds to provide for her family. She wants to buy cloths and shoes. She wants to buy a bigger and more stable tent for her family, and mattresses to separate them from the hard ground. She wants to make sure she can buy food and water for her family. Please do what you can to help them survive. Donate what you can, and share so that more people can do so.
In almost two months of fundraising, she managed to raise €2,088 out of her €15,000 goal.

STAGNANT CAMPAIGN: Save Family Surviving Bombings in North Gaza
Hi all, I want to spotlight Hazem (@hazempalestine), a young dentistry student in his 20s who left home in 2018 in order to pursue his medical license. He has not been home since then, has missed so many pivotal moments in his younger siblings' lives—birthdays, graduations, and more—just so he could provide for them.
Hazem is the neighbor and childhood friend of Bilal (@bilal-salah0), they have not seen each other since Hazem left to attend dentistry school in Belgium and Bilal to Germany for his university studies, but Bilal has kept in close contact with him and could personally vouch for him. Additionally, Hussein personally verified Hazem's family evacuation campaign. So please don't hesitate to donate!
Hazem's parents and his younger siblings are living in the Jabalia refugee camp in North Gaza, which was bombed three days ago. Hazem lost contact with them for an entire day. This is not normal. I refuse to let news outlets continue to normalize the fear and terror felt by Palestinians living in and outside of Gaza.
Hazem has five younger siblings, all of them top students of their class prior to the invasion, inspired by Hazem's drive and passion for learning and helping people. But now all of them, including Hazem's youngest brother, spend their days clearing rubble from the tent campgrounds after a bombing, re-establishing clean water sources, and foraging for food.
This campaign is severely stagnating, many times without me and other blogs proactively tagging bigger blogs for reach, Hazem's family would not get a single donation in hours. This is unacceptable. Please help these 5 young kids.
We are trying to raise funds to secure the evacuation registration fee for Hazem's youngest brother. There has only been 3 donations in the past 2 hours.
€9,069 raised of the €10,000 short term goal. Can we try to raise another €431 by the end of the day?

❤♥️ Save a Gazan family ♥️❤
@amalashuor, her husband, and their baby girl Maryam are constantly on my mind.
Amal, who was still a student when the attack on Gaza interrupted her pursuit of a Master's degree, has had to evacuate time and time again, seeking shelter for her family.
Every time she asks "why isn't my campaign making progress? Who can I speak to to get help?" I feel like I've failed her. Her campaign, which has a very reachable goal, has been stagnating.
We don't know how many opportunities they will to cross the border. We can't take chances. Time is of the essence. If the time comes and the border opens and they haven't reached their goal yet, I don't know what I'll do. They cannot separate, so they must have enough to evacuate all three of them.
Please, please donate, and if you can't, share as far as you can , as urgently as possible.
Let's get them safe. ❤

My friend, @feluka, I am grateful to you for everything you did for me. You are a very wonderful person. You spent a lot of time for my family @feluka. Thank you very much. We have approached the first goal of the campaign, and I hope for your continued support for my family.🍉❤️🩹
€28,085 raised of €30,000
Just a little more to go. The goal is within sight. Keep going ♥
Apsa has already touched on this wonderfully in their post about Shahed, but it's such a dirty, disgusting feeling when you have to present your fundraising posts in the same manner that you would write a CV or a portfolio because you have to plead with people to see the value of a HUMAN BEING. I feel genuinely sick making a list of "strengths and weaknesses" for a HUMAN in order to help save their LIVES because that's the successful tatic and you've been asked to run a successful campaign and you cannot fail that at any cost because the lives at stake are more important than my feelings - and I'm not even the person who is getting dehumanized here.
I'm far from the only person to express this, but there's no understating how I've been changed by this experience. I hope everyone feels the same, because if not, then that scares me.
I hope one day Gazans can afford the privacy and dignity they deserve and that the wonderful little intricacies of their personalities and livelihoods become once again a privilege to those lucky enough to be their friends and the people they choose to share it with - because they want to, and not because their lives are on the line.
And I know there will be a free Palestine but I hope to God it happens in my lifetime because nothing short of a free Palestine will soothe this fury.
Hey, if you read this statement and it resonated with you in any way, please boost @amalashuor's campaign. Despite my best efforts I've had no luck getting her campaign to stop stagnating and I don't know what else to do. I've tried just about every "trick" in the book and yet the campaign has been stagnating for so long.
Her goal is very very reachable at 30k! And yet it has been moving at a snail's pace since hitting 20k. She's very close! Please don't stop now.
I hate to think that a chance to evacuate might arise later this week but before she's reached her goal.

Pill Scarab Beetles: these beetles are covered in plates that perfectly interlock when the beetle folds its limbs, lowers its head, and curls itself into a ball
Above: Eusphaeropeltis sp. (top/bottom left) and Ceratocanthus aeneus (bottom right), two different species of pill scarab beetle
Beetles of the Ceratocanthinae subfamily (also known as pill scarab beetles) rely on a unique form of conglobation to conceal themselves. As the beetle tucks its head down and folds its legs up against its belly, the plates on its head, thorax, abdomen, and legs all come together to form a solid shield; the plates on its legs even have grooves and corresponding ridges that allow them to neatly interlock.
As this blog post explains:
Adult Ceratocanthinae are best known for their ability to conglobate: rolling into a nearly perfect ball. The elytra, pronotum, head, and all six tibiae interlock with each other by means of grooves and corresponding ridges, forming a tightly connected external surface. Many beetles take the form of a tight compact structure when threatened, however in Ceratocanthinae the tibiae of all six legs participate in forming the external hard surface of the sphere, unlike in other beetles.
Above: Ceratocanthus sp.
The Ceratocanthinae subfamily contains many different genera/species, and they are all collectively known as pill scarabs. Many of them have a colorful, metallic appearance; they may be green, red, blue, brown, black, or multicolor.

A cry for help from Gaza
My name is Salem, I am 26 years old. I am married to Hadeel, she is 25 years old, and we have two beautiful children: Laila (5 years old) and Bakr (five months old). We live in the northern part of Gaza.
Laila and Bakr are my heartbeat, the light of my life, and my everything.
The horrific story of the recent war in Gaza
Since the beginning of the last war in Gaza, our home has been completely destroyed, forcing us to be displaced. We had to move more than 10 times to find safety. During this harrowing journey, we faced extreme hunger and malnutrition that almost claimed the lives of me and my children. In addition, we have been exposed to many serious infectious diseases and epidemics.
Before: This is our homeland, our dream, and our promising future.
Unbearable hardships
Every day I have to travel long distances just to get water, and stand in lines for hours to get food. My children's mental health deteriorated due to the war, their education was interrupted, and they suffered from catastrophic hunger that almost claimed their lives.
After: This is our house, built with our sweat and effort, and it was completely destroyed.
The right to a peaceful life
My children deserve to live a peaceful life free of fear and anxiety. I dream of your help to support my family and escape this genocide. Your help means the world to me and my children.
The cost of arranging travel for an adult outside Gaza currently varies
Between $5,000 and $7,000, and $2,500 for each child, in addition to a cost of living of $500 per month.
How can you help?
Your donations can be a beacon of hope for us. Every dollar can help save my children's lives and give them a chance to live in peace. Your prayers for us to overcome this ordeal and lift the siege are greatly needed
Laila: My beloved, the closest to my heart, and my little one.
Bakr: My child who came during this horrific war.
Donate now and help us get to safety
May God reward you greatly for your generosity.
Background on the Gaza war
The war in Gaza has left hundreds of thousands of victims, destroyed infrastructure, and left many homeless. The humanitarian situation in the region has reached critical levels, with severe shortages of basic necessities such as food, water and health care. Children are the most affected, as they have lost their sense of security, education and normal life.
Your support is our hope
Your donation is the light that can guide us towards a better future. Don't miss the chance to be part of a story that saves a family suffering from unimaginable hardships.
Donate now and make hope possible
Thank you for your support and kindness.

I think their words say this much better than I ever could: "We left our home, our cats, and all of our belongings behind. For ten days, we stayed in the health clinic belonging to UNRWA. When the Israeli tanks reached our location, just a street away, we were forced to leave again. We started to walk towards Rafah.
The road took three hours on foot. My sister has a mobility disability, and my father is elderly and suffers from high blood pressure, diabetes, and a previous injury to his foot and pelvis. It was a terrifying walk, especially hard for them to cover this distance. We were in a terrified state, with corpses on the ground, unable to look at them, knowing that we couldn’t let fear get to us. We have seen the horrors of this war. Despite that, we thank God we are alive."
Do not hesitate to help this family!
